One of best Thai Resto in Surabaya. From outside, it's seem a old house, but when you enter, you will feel impressive. Glamor interior design complement with comfortable background music, make customers enjoy while eating. The staff is gracious and helpful. Parking space: little bit too small for such resto, but outside resto will be assist by parking assistant. The taste is authentic Thailand Cuisine. It's good place for family, business or event hangout purposes. Highly recommended Thai Restaurants at Surabaya. Willing to visit this resto again in near future.

Food & place is really 👍👍. In fact I think it’s the best Thai food in town. But only 1 VIP room good for 8 people. Not very pricey but not so big portions also. My favorites are: fried rice thom yam, green curry with tiny rolls of misua, spring rolls with glass noodles filling, pad thai.

I went to this best Thai restaurant in town three times. And within these times, they served a consistent taste and freshness. My favourite dish here is tom yam thalee - it is thick and flavorful. You should try this when you visit the restaurant. I ordered for a "portion" size and it can be for up to three persons. Their dessert is also superb, the sticky rice tastes bold. For the beverage, I love their spicy shot. The price is definitely value for money. When you arrive the restaurant, the security is in default will ask whether you have a reservation or not because the restaurant needs you to do so. So, do not forget to reserve the table. They are very responsive on their Instagram and WhatsApp hence you do not need to worry about it 😄

Their Tom Yam Kung was great... Ate plenty of dishes and overall was great tasting. Interior design is a combination of old meets new.

The pioneer for Thai fine-dining around, in my opinion. Also appreciated how they preserve the existing Dutch-colonial style residential that common found in Surabaya heritage area. Definitely the best Thai restaurant in Surabaya.. the food was delicious.. especially the steamed fish.. and the spring rolls.. both I recommend that you must order.. one bite will lead to another.. The prices were not cheap.. but the food was worth every penny. Will definitely come back to dine in this restaurant.!

One of the best place to have Thai food in Surabaya. The interior looks luxurious, but needs some rejuvenation. The Tomyum Thalee was amazing. Plenty of fresh seafood inside. It just had the right amount of sourness in the soup. Grilled beef and sauteed kailan were tasty. My family also really liked the Ketan Durian. I don't eat durian, but the glutinous rice was really soft and sweet. I'm happy with eating just the rice and sauce. The drinks were also good. Price is a bit premium, but gotta say it's worth it. Sorry for the unpretty pics, we couldn't wait to savor the dish.

I made a reservation, wondering why they would need it. It turned out that the place was packed, on a Tuesday evening. Incredible. The service was great, I was happy to see they worked attentively. The items we ordered were all awesome, especially the Tom Yum Seafood. It was one of the best tasting Tom Yum I have ever had in and out of Thailand. Really though, everything else were great too. I would also like to recommend their desserts. This place is a great choice to celebrate a special occasion.

Authentic Thailand cuisine restaurant in Surabaya. Personally, I dont find this as mind blowing as what I expected it to be, but they have good food altho I would say other thailand resto(s) in Surabaya are also not as far left behind (in terms of taste), you have to book in advance to get a table here. But the ambience is indeed nice, waiting time for the dishes to come out was fair. Taste great, but as I mentioned before. Authenticity is quite on point tho, I like the green curry , tomyum soup and also the beef basil

The place was nice, the food was good. I had the fish cake, beef red curry, mie kati and pandan pudding with peach tea to wash 'em down. All plates and cutleries are clean and polished. When I asked for a pair of chopstick to eat my noodle with, I was given a pair of disposable bamboo chopstick. I am sure a pair of chopstick won't be much more expensive than your cutleries and to keep a pair or two won't make you out of business. Again the food was nice, the place was nice and the fact they have disposable bamboo chopsticks means there are ppl who asked for those and whoever that decides to give disposable bamboo chopsticks for dine in in this restaurant doesn't understand the whole concept of this establishment and what it tries to convey to its customer.

One of authentic Thai resto in town. The foods taste quite similar as the real Thai cooking. For indonesian the foods probably a bit on the stronger side,but if you like the sourness of Tomyum this would be perfect for you. This is perfect for family meal, or big group visitor since their portion are mostly family portion for sharing. And for me it was quite cheap too, we were sharing around 4-6 dishes and ended up only paying 150k for one person among 4 people. I suggest that you reserve in advance for the weekend. The vibe is immaculate, it has this slightly fancy traditional vibe with good service. I will definitely be back

Superb! Came here with my Thai business associate. So, it couldn't be wrong. We ate in their VIP Room. Staff were very responsive, but they only talk Thai with my associate. Taste was very delicious! The best Thai restaurant i've ever eaten. It was so authentic. My favourite was this fish dish with some kind of lemon, herbs, and a lot of thing that i can't explain. I guess we ordered more than 7 meals and everything taste delicious! Very tasty!

The pad thai from this restaurant is worth recommending. The dish has an authentic taste and the ingredients were cooked to perfection. The noodles and vegetables were crunchy and the sauce packs a lot of flavor. The prices are also very affordable, with the meal costing only 75.000 rupiah per portion. The atmosphere of this restaurant is both lively and relaxing. The music played is classic and soothing. However, the service can be a little slow at times, potentially due to the high volume of customers. Overall, a great place for a delicious Thai meal with a touch of authenticity. NB : Book before coming to ensure your place since it's pretty crowded especially on dinner time.

I am gladly giving 5 stars to this restaurant. We have been there 3 times, and the service, dishes and ambiance are absolutely pleased us. The dishes were delicious and plating so beautifully. Our must order dish are the steam fish, grapefruit salad, pad thai and pineapple fried rice. I randomly choose mixed berry for beverage and it turns out great! Thank you for the kind and friendly waiter/waitress too.

One of the well-known Thai restaurant in Surabaya. We came for dinner and were very lucky we got a table because usually this place is always fully booked. We order Pad Thai, steam fish, kailan garlic, tomyum soup, and grill chicken. Everything was good but the kailan is kind of hard to chew. Must order the tomyum and steam fish. They are 👍. Parking was easy because when we came not too many people. Many parking attendant to help customers.

I’ve been coming here since forever, be it for family time, dinner date, or just casual lunch with friends. The food, service, and atmosphere have always been exceptional. I can’t even count how many times I have recommended this place to others, because it is that good. Unfortunately, today I had a rather unpleasant experience during lunch, which I believe wasn’t even that busy since there were only 2 tables and a party of 10 other than us. I’ve visited them during busy hours and their standards never once fell until today. I came in with my SO, and while my SO was dressed well, my outfit was rather on the casual side, with slides, trousers, and T-Shirt, which if you’re wondering, were not some lousy, tacky, dusty clothing that I found in my granddad’s closet. To start off, the service wasn’t as good as usual, compared to the many times I’ve been here. We had to wait and asked to see the menu. Perhaps you think it’s weird that I’m writing a complain about this, but this is not the Chao Phraya that i know. The waiter/waitresses were mostly silent when I asked about the food or recommendations. The silence remained when they delivered my orders. Some of the food that I ordered were also subpar compared to recent visits (I came twice for dinner and lunch the week before, and everything was exceptional). I don’t know if this was an honest mistake or not, but I hope this was not because of how I dressed. Some of my orders were still as good as usual, but the unusually unpleasant service, combined with some of the food not meeting my standards for Chao Phraya, I finished lunch feeling disappointed and dissatisfied. I’m not going all out here, since I still have respect for you, and you’re still one of very few places outside Thailand which serves real authentic Thai cuisines. But I just feel like I was treated differently than usual, in a negative way. I hope no one else have experienced or will experience the same thing as I did.

I enjoyed nearly everything here. Good food, good service, and a good atmosphere as well. I placed orders on a few things and they came out not as fast as I expected, but the staff was pretty quick. I ordered tom yum seafood, which has a pretty authentic taste, but lacks sourness in my opinion (8.5/10). I also ordered ayam pandan, which was so tasty and tender (9/10). Their pad thai was so flavorful, probably one of the best in town (9/10). The kwetiau kuah daging sapi was so nice; it has an authentic taste, and the beef was tender. It reminded me so much of the one in Thailand (9/10). Tumis Kailan was okay, nothing special (6/10). I ordered mango sticky rice for dessert, and it did not disappoint; the mango was super sweet, the sticky rice was soft, and the overall taste was perfect (9/10). I will definitely come back, although it was quite pricey compared to other Thai restaurants in town. (Reservation is a must)

The sumptuous Thai cuisine is here! Seeking for some good Thailand foods? Chao Phraya is definitely worth trying, I’m tellin’ y’all! My experience when I went there is awesome! Place and ambience was nice, hygiene was superb (they clean the surface with disinfectant and cutleries were wrapped in a plastic properly), and the food was a top-notch! I ordered sweet cassava with coconut milk sauce. For me personally, it was okay; slightly too sweet for my tongue but still acceptable. And to accompany my dinner with white rice, I ordered fried kale, grilled spice chicken and fried fish with Thai fruit sauce. - Fried kale was super good! It was super crispy and tasty; engorging the kale with its sour & spicy sauce was the bomb! - Grilled spice chicken was also good; although food that cooked with spices usually are more to Indonesian😂 But this menu worth trying. You could actually taste the well seasoned chicken meat! Try it with the sauce as well; great combination. - Fried fish was delicious! Super crispy and combining it with the Thai fruit sauce was outstandingly nice! It tasted very fresh; the sourness and spiciness of the sauce was super tasty along with the tiny cut pineapples and chilis. Yum! Overall, i really enjoyed having my dinner at Chao Phraya. Will be back to try the other dishes on the menu😋

Craving for thai cuisine? This is the answer. The tomyum taste so gooood. Also the mango sticky rice. The place is very clean, well seat arrangement, good ambience. The best part is the scent they use, calming and feels like in spa. Good dinning experience.

If you are looking for authentic Thai Restaurant, I think you will find Chao Phraya right choice. Taste still quite authentic and one of the best in Surabaya, because there are not a lot if Thai restaurants around. I was quite enjoying the fried fish with mango salad, chicken pandan, and pad thai. But the other also quite delicious. In term of price, it wasn’t cheap and not ridiculously expensive. I think still quite reasonable for Surabaya standard.
