Stayed here 12/19/20. Correct information is: There are 3 RV sites and 34 camping sites. Sites are $20 a night and are walk in. 50% discount for America the Beautiful, Golden Age cards. There is a family site which will accommodate up to 100 people which is presently closed. This is reservable and it's $100 a night. Split 5 or 6 ways it is still good value. No water or electric, pit restroom. Open fires are allowed at present and fire pits are provided on each site. The restrooms are well maintained as is the whole site. Very quiet, very dark. Great for star gazing. Surround by mountains/ cliffs on all sides this camp site is a real feel.

Perfect spot for our end of March camping trip. We arrived on a Friday afternoon expecting it to be packed but there were plenty of spots (some remained empty). We had a lot of fun going on the easy hike with the kids (didn't do the whole thing) and had some deer get pretty close. I recommend this to everyone including first time campers. No running water but there are pit toilets (thus the 4 stars).

Absolutely stunning campground. We went in early February shortly after the snow started melting on the peak. There were plenty of streams running through the campground it was picturesque. Seemed very quiet on a Saturday and all of the facilities were in excellent condition. It's the first campground on the way up the mountain. It's open year-round. Highly recommended. Be prepared for the $10 in cash needed to enter the campground.

One of the first camps on Mt lemmon Go after the rain or when the wash is flowing from the melting snow, follow the road to the back and you'll see part of the famous Arizona trail, spend a little time hiking the canyon and relax to the sound of the water flowing through the basin... Very zenfull, campers or tents. Spot 26 is fully wheel chair accessible for those who are limited in thier adventures, this area you can roll right into the camp on spot #26--good luck on your journey πŸ˜€

Nice campground, the camp host keeps the bathrooms very clean. It is not far from Safeway, subway, and other stores. About 15-20 minutes down the hill. I only had spotty cell coverage right at the entrance to the campground (Verizon). Most of the time you could go down the hill 2 miles and get good reception. Not a deal breaker. Stayed in spot 28 good access to bathroom but not to close. Good shade, and level for tent set up. Great spot if you are biking or hiking. You can ride to the trails it crosses the campground. Watched deer up on the hillside in the morning. Would be 5 stars if it had water.

This is a great campground and it’s only a short drive up Mount Lemmon. Actually pretty near the bottom just north of mile marker 4. Lots of camping spots a d fairly well spread out. They provide a table and grill area and most spots I saw. Fees for the night are very reasonable. I went for a hike and I thought the trails were pretty poorly marked. You have to really look for the vertical rectangle β€œtrail” signs and they are often pretty faded. The views were ok but nay as odd as many other hikes in Tucson.

We usually camp further up in trees, but we decided to try it out. It is beautiful, and campsites were well maintained and the camp host was bursting with pride over the outhouses. Truth be told, they were amazing. You do have to pack your own water in, and the scrubby oaks mean after about 10:00 in the morning you're pretty exposed to the sun, so if you have a canopy, use it!

Big Beautiful campground that’s no longer maintained. Grass over grown weeds high and more. If you go during monsoon season you’ll be lucky to find the water flowing down the rocks onto the road. Nice place to make a few s’mores or cook a few hot dogs on one of the many grills. Just beware that the weeds are a lil high and grass to your ankles so go prepared. Overall it’s a good place to get in touch with nature while getting away from the city.

This campsite is pretty awesome! It also has a hiking trail right next to it. It’s spooky at night up in the mountains. Take flashlights!!

We love Molino and Gordon Hirabayashi. Hirabayashi has camping spots for two or three campers together, where Molino is only one camper (rv) per spot. Pit toilets, beautiful area for winter camping. Don't go down the mountain when it's storming, they usually close the road and don't allow people back up until the road has cleared.

Great campground, very spread out so lots of space between campsites. Clean restrooms. Quiet and nice views. This is dry camping - bring your own water; there are vault toilets, garbage bins. Only a few sites are suitable for RVs and they recommend maximum 22ft for trailers.
