Friendly folks, brisket melted in my mouth, clean restroom and lots to look at. On a warmer day I bet the patio would be a nice spot to eat too. Very glad we stopped here.

Can't say enough good stuff about this place! Great atmosphere and wonderful food.....real food, homemade and authentic. It doesn't need sauce so it checked all my boxes. I'm not going to lie, the trip from the highway to the location, I checked my GPS more than once but the high reviews kept me moving forward. Would definitely eat here again!

A friendly Mom and Pop everything shop with delicious food! Stella was amazing and friendly and explained everything as soon as you walk in. You enter through the gift shop and the restaurant with seating is located in the back. You order at the window and they’ll bring it out to you. You couldn’t ask for friendlier people. We got the pulled pork plate with potato salad and beans. The fiancé got the two meat plate with brisket and ribs with cole slaw and salad. The drinks are in the cooler and you pay up front in the gift shop before you leave.

We stopped here on our cross-country RV trip, and we were very happy to have discovered it! It is a combination farm store / gift shop / BBQ restaurant.....and it was literally the BEST food we have had on our trip so far! We both ordered combination plates and there were lots of meat choices....ribs, brisket, ham, sausage, chopped beef, etc, as well as all of the typical BBQ sides as well. The lady that served us was a delight. When the food came out, we were amazed! The portions were huge and everything was hot, fresh and delicious! Their BBQ sauce was very good and they even throw in sliced bread and a homemade cookie with your order. We also ordered the Green Chile Apple Cobbler and it was a major hit as well! We would definitely stop here again if we travel through this area in the future. The gift shop is fun to explore and offers misc local items and tourist items in a fun atmosphere. Definitely a MUST-SEE!

BBQ at the Ranch Supply store. Definitely worth the stop. The owner also brought out free smoked sausages, brisket, and green chili apple cobbler. Weird, but yummy. We waddled out of there. Gosh, we love these Route 66 towns and restaurants.

Well worth the stop! Great selection on the menu, and really friendly folks here. We got a “Brute” burrito and a BBQ Po-Boy, with pulled pork, brisket, and green & red chiles. It was ready fast and tasted great. Cool farm store, too. Plenty to look at on the walls while you’re waiting for your food. Definitely a place we’ll come back to again.

Our meal was delightful. We scarfed down a 3-meat plate with brisket, sausage, and pork ribs with sides of Mac n cheese and coleslaw. The brisket was so tender and delicious. I’d have eaten more of that and the sides but I was stuffed. Also had a peach cobbler with ice cream and green chili apple cobbler. So glad to try both. Definitely order with ice cream and it’s just the right size. Unbelievably kind and welcoming service. So many interesting things to see and look at in terms of decor. It’s a vibe. Check it out!

Great food, awesome atmosphere, amazing people. This bbq joint, off the beaten path, is well worth a visit. We sat outside and enjoyed our meal. They have a well decorated outside seating area as well as some booths and tables inside.

Stopped here, Tucumcari, driving through New Mexico, and it was a great decision. Great BBQ and Hospitality in a very small town. The gentleman/pitmaster who cooked the food said they are famous for their brisket, ribs and sausage, so that's what we ordered. We ordered the 3 meat meal with sides, Mac n cheese, baked beans and potato salad. Let me say, the meat tasted like they just butchered the steer and hog, very fresh. Everything was great. The sides were homemade and everything was very good. The pitmaster and a lady, who I assumed was his wife, were very kind and friendly.

Great food and The people are super friendly. Its off the beaten path inside a hardware/antique store that is a must see. A true part of Americana. If your anywhere near it, make the stop. You won’t regret it.

We didn’t want fast food.. so we decided to try this bbq joint. We sure are glad we stopped in. It was really good bbq and the customer service is out of this world. It was nice to sit down and have a bite. The food came out fast! Mac and cheese, beans, sausage, and chopped brisket sandwiches is what we had! Plus cobbler I ordered the peach but the gentleman also gave us a sample of the green chili apple which was also very good!😋 it was all so good! Great prices and have never met nicer people!

One of our most unique BBQ experiences! You'd never expect to find good BBQ kind of in the middle of nowhere, in the back of a gift shop. The food was really yummy. Pulled Pork and ribs were delicious. The sides were tasty and I love that they give you a cookie. The Watsons are a very nice couple. They chat with you, and really want to k ow how you like their food. The town obviously loves them because they have a huge outside area and plenty of indoor seating for this small town BBQ joint. They've done an awesome job here and we'll be stopping in on our next trip west. Thanks for the great lunch!!

Good food, friendly counter service. Easy walking distance from the Blue Swallow, Motel Safari, and other spots along Route 66. Note that the Ranch Supply store in which Watson's is located is more a gift shop than a true ranch supply store.

We read great reviews as we were heading through on Route 40 so we stopped for lunch. We were delighted with the whole experience. Brisket was outstanding! Friendly folks, fun general store and CLEAN restroom. Do stop! You will NOT be disappointed 😊

This barbecue restaurant is off the beaten path. If you're looking for a unique place to visit and where your eyes can wander and read where other people have been then this is the place for you. The folks who were running the register and the cook are friendly and helpful. The food portion is generous in size and moderately priced. The brisket was okay. The Alfredo macaroni and cheese was okay. The beans and coleslaw were all so okay. I did not find this restaurant to be outstanding but again if you're looking for a unique place to eat this is the place for you. The restroom was clean and sanitary and also unique it is indoors.

Great BBQ with an awesome atmosphere. Brisket was fantastic. Free tea and lemonade with lunch was a great add-on. Signs inside were fun. Perfect stop for lunch!

EXCELLENT, authentic BBQ! This is one of the best BBQ places we have been to across the US. This place is right off historic route 66, so you will need to leave the highway, but it is 1000% percent worth it. Ribs- excellent, pulled pork- excellent, brisket-excellent, potato salad-excellent, Mac and cheese-excellent.... if you want an old school Americana place... this is your spot! It's worth leaving the highway to stop.

Good BBQ, decently priced, and it is ran by a nice lady. I thought the tea and lemonade tasted pretty watered down but otherwise the brisket, pulled pork, and the sides were lovely. Would recommend stopping here if you are ever in the area

Perfect stop! We were warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in and enjoyed their delicious barbecue, clean bathroom and cute shop. Brisket and pulled pork were divine! Picked up a locally made candle to remember our brief but special time here.

What a great old town store with a cute restaurant in the back that sells delicious BBQ, hamburgers Fritos pie and homemade donuts. We had a delicious lunch filled with brisket sandwiches, chips and a homemade cookie. The donuts were gone before noon they said 😢. Delicious meal - super yummy.

Absolutely a top-notch BBQ establishment!! This place is located off of Route 66 in a ranch supply store. It's super quaint, super funky, the food is absolute perfection. Daily specials, other than barbecue available. Sign says: Watson's BBQ. Where every butt deserves a good rub... Proprietors aim to please! Highly recommended. 🔥

It seems odd to pull up to and walk through a store to get to a restaurant, but oh so glad we did!! Both the hubs and I had the 2 plate with pulled pork and brisket. We disagreed on what was best, but trust me, you won't be disappointed. The mac and cheese was very creamy (yum) and the potato salad was the perfect balance of mustard and mayo. Top it all off with a soft sugar cookie and we left with very happy bellies.
