We went there with my family as we only have seen this museum before the renovation and it was absolutely worth a visit. So many amazing old cars to see, you can learn interesting facts with interactive screens, listen to different stories, 3 floors to explore and we got luck as it was pretty quiet before groups of people start to come in. There is lots of fun staff for kids to do too. There are lockers where you can put €1 and lock it, there is also toilets next to that, a cafe place just next to the entrance. We paid each €10 adults, and €5 for pensioner and same for disabled person.

The monument stands in the magnificent and well maintained cemetery buried in greenery (pun intended). Fun fact is that the monument have an antenna on her head and wires running down her back. I wonder what signals does she receive (or transmit).

Amazing museum for entire family. Obvious choice for car enthusiasts, but also for people interested in art - the display demonstrates cars at their most beautiful sides and angles - and for those interested in history - car production and development is closely connected with the 19th and 20th century history. Museum is modern, nice displays and accompanying texts. There is a restaurant / pub and some attractions for smaller kids.

Extremely impressed from the quality of this museum. It's small but it is really good. All the exhibits are really well maintained and all the signs are really informative. It has nothing less than a similar museum in Europe and also it gives the opportunity to see and examine cars and motorcycles from the USSR era. Absolutely worth a visit besides the trip you have to do from the citycentre. Any person can find this place interesting, not only the petrolheads.

Great museum for whole family. The museum has 2 layers, and both are full of antique vehicles, but not just for presentation, but each one has its own story written or presented by video and audio. There some interactive objects that kids can touch. When family visits, kids are for free. Great museum, worth visiting, even though it’s far away from the center of Riga.

Nice and informative museum. The ticket is 10 Euros for adult. We spent approximately 1 hr there, it was enough. Those cars had a wow factor for me, really worth to see it, pictures do not provide the luxurious feeling of the beauty and concepts. I would love to score it as 5 stars but Ukrainian propaganda was everywhere. Every single car from Soviet Union time had a sticker, one car even had Ukraine flag. Even in the coffee shop I spotted Ukraine sticker on the plant pot !Why? Leave politics out of transport museum and coffee shop. It doesn’t make any sense.. Also, we had coffee latte there. I wouldn’t recommend- tasteless, watery, barely warm. Girl at the reception was lovely, spoke good English and explained us everything.

(Translated by Google) After the reconstruction, the museum became noticeably fresher. Inside there are very rare exhibits from a century ago, which take you to the atmosphere of gangsters and the times of Boney and Clyde. And on the second floor there are already more "fresh" cars from the times of the Soviet Union, if you were born before the 90s, then a feeling of nostalgia is guaranteed. The territory is not so big, but because of the huge number of exhibits that you want to examine in detail, you "hang" in the museum for a long time. The museum has free parking.

Such a beautiful curation of vehicles. You'll find heirlooms from all eras of automobile evolution. Hygienic, gracefully maintained premises and cars. You can also buy toys and gifts here. There's also a small play area outside for kids.

Very interesting museum. Friendly, helpful and beautiful Staff (Caroline). Nice place for auto fans in every age. Not overloaded with too many technical details, but if you like to search deeper - good media fascilities. Cheap tickets, especially to compare with value of exhibitions. Children up to 6 - free entrance. Must see in Riga!

Interactive displays and exhibits, with some interesting facts sprinkled in. Detailed stories of automotive companies that I, as a big automotive enthusiast, had never heard of. For example, there is an explanation of why the audi logo is four circles connected together. The museum is quite modern from a technological side. I think you can easily spend over 2 hours. I highly recommend it. Pedro would have loved this place. I'm sorry you couldn't be here with me.

What a gem! Reminds me a little of a ships museum in Tallin - a great interactive exhibition, beautifully designed and with a lot of fun and interesting facts in multiple languages (some even in Lithuanian), photo, video footage etc. Unfortunately some elements were out of order at the time, but it did not ruin the experience. Go there and see for yourself! Definitely worth 10 Eur

Beautiful Automobile Museum, not so famous as other museums in Riga but well worth a visit. The building is brand new, the collection is very interactive, with examples of engines, differentials etc. Superb collection of Soviet cars of any era and social class, from veteran cars to Stalin private bulletproof car. Also a collection of Latvian cars and trucks is displayed. But the most amazing is the Auto Union V16 race car discovered in a barn in Latvia in the 70’s (taken away from Germany by Ref Army as war prize) and beautifully restored to original condition.

Incredible selection of vehicles and some of the most informative information points I have seen in any motor museum. For those looking for supercars like Ferraris, Porsches and Bugattis etc you'll not find much (though the Porsche Museum at Stuttgart had an exhibition on loan when I visited) But what you will find is a varied and rare collection that is not only interesting, but also beautifully presented. The selection of Soviet era vehicles is essential to the history of the country and is a must see.

Excellent place to spend a couple of hours - great collection of classic cars, motorbikes and trucks. Also there are some side collections, like old radios and phones, which also adds to the vibe. And of course, don't miss the Auto union. This is a must see for any car enthusiast!

🤦Did NOT MEET MY EXPECTATIONS! But it's cheap... 🤷‍♂️ I was hoping for more!!! information, interactive screens. I would like to see more videos, graphics etc. Thankfully, I did not take my Boy (5 years) it's a bit boring for little kids. Only one display where you can listen a bit of story snout car... All the rest reading (but not a lot, just general info). Only three languages RUS, LAT & ENG. I heard about "big reconstruction" a couple of years ago... but it looks like more than half of the budgeting did not reach this museum...🫢 Worst one: even here... in museum!!!... Latvia is putting her political propaganda and russophobia 👎

If you have interest in mobility and it's history then you should visit this museum. Also included is telecommunication and radio, you could see some vintage radios from different years. There was also the local racing team members there to take pictures with fans. It was an interesting visit.

Great museum for those interested in old cars, beautifully restored vehicles and fun to go with children. I used to go there before museum was renovated when I was a child but the new building is really good and easy to navigate around. There’s interactive area for little kids as well. Nice display of old radios too! Thank you for preserving the history and not destroying it.

Probably the best museum I have ever been in. Very cool exhibit items, interactive sections, a lot of fun facts about the cars and motorcycles, not just boring technical facts. Race car simulator (paid extra). The ticket is valid for the entire day, so you can leave for a coffee or lunch and enter again.

Didn't expect such a well organised and varied selection of exhibits, far better than expected, which was a lovely surprise :-) Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lady on the bar even made us a lovely mulled wine which wasn't on the menu (mid February). From the first motorised vehicles ( bikes and cars) upto 1960's. Great for adults and children with quite a few interactive displays. Modern building kept in a very clean and tidy condition.

An outstanding collection of antique cars starting with 19th century motorized carriage, rare oldtimers, including a unique collection of Soviet leader luxury cars from 50-ties, all carefully restored. What started with the only legendary Auto Union Type C race car saved from scraping by the museum founder Viktors Kulbergs now have evolved into modern, interactive museum. Don't miss oldtimer trucks in the basement, accessible via elevator only. Definitely worth visiting to get excited by elegance and craftsmanship of early days of car production.

Hello, I will give you my French point of view on the motor museum in RIGA. First of all, I really liked this museum. Why is that? The light, the light in this museum is really good. The vehicles are really well exhibited. There is not a lot of information and we are not lost is this museum. We can see how the engine works with the starting handle. There are sovietic car, old car, importante car in the history. Do not hesitate, you will like this museum. The museum is not really big. You need 3 hours max to visit it but 2 hours will be really ok imo.

(Translated by Google) I first visited the museum in 1994 and since then has been many more times. In my opinion, perhaps, this is one of the most interesting museums in Riga. The exposition is very impressive, many of the exhibits are unique; after the reconstruction, interactive stands with information appeared. Also in the foyer of the museum you can buy models of Soviet and foreign cars at a scale of 1:43, souvenirs, thematic books. To top it all off, the museum has a cozy cafe. I recommend a must visit to anyone interested in automotive topics. (Translated by Google) In 2018 we made a big motorcycle tour around the Baltic Sea and also visited the car museum in Riga. We were enthusiastic and captivated, so that we were there for many hours unexpectedly. A great exhibition of many old cars and motorcycles with a special representation of the merging of engine and means of transport. Lovingly the multimedia presentations and e.g. a workshop from the early twentieth century. When we were getting ready to leave, a Latvian woman who lives in Bavaria spoke to us in the parking lot, and she still gave us a lot of details about the transition from the museum to the Soviet era, a very impressive visit! Liebevoll die multimedialen Darstellungen und z.B. eine Werkstatt aus dem frühen zwanzigsten Jahrhundert.
