I love the old school bakery idea and you make great treats and desserts, the lady was really kind and helpful and other then it costing a little more then I would of liked cause just thinking that one chocolate chip cookie for 2 bucks is a little speedy but then I just think that you got to make a profit somewhere and I support you little by little!!

What a delightful bakery! I'd focus more on the sweet treats here than the coffee (while good, it's definitely not their best feature). Pricing is fair and staff was friendly. The iced sugar cookie I got was soft and delicious with a still fresh buttercream icing. The lemon cake slice my friend got was perfectly light. Nothing tasted dried out and the flavors were right. Wide variety of treats (cakes, cookies, macaroons) and they even had take home sugar cookie decorating kits. I'm looking forward to going back here to try out more things!

I came in and made a order for a Spongebob cake. I wanted something really special . He happens to be Autistic. He just adores theses characters. Especially, Patrick. When I arrived i was greeted with open arms. When she pulled out his own special cake with Patrick on top. It brought a tear to my eyes knowing how much it would mean to him. I had heard great things about Sweet Themes Bakery so I decided to stop in while I was in the area. Oh boy, they did not disappoint! They had an excellent selection and everything looked so amazing! The staff was very kind and courteous and I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner and her husband. I look forward to bringing my wife there next time we are in the area. For now we will feast on the treats.

I’ve walked passed Sweet Themes so many times & wish I visited sooner!! There were so many different types of pastries & sweets— it was hard to choose. We ended up getting 2 Samoa cookies & it is my new favorite cookie. My only recommendation is to put it in the fridge for a little bit to harden as it was a little bit on the soft side for me.

Great tasting red velvet cake. Super nice selection of all sweets. Custom work. Friendly staff. The only big downside is that their hours are very limited due to the city of Kent incentivizing bums and drug addicts to loiter around the business creeping customers out. obviously, the businesses and the business goers being loose and tolerant also contributes to the problems not going away, but I guess people will feel it when it gets really bad and businesses have to shut down, completely or move.

I hate that it took me forever to write this review. I had actually waited to get a good pic to add to this review. But this was the only one I got 😞 I cannot even explain how Amazing this place is. The communication between myself and the owner as well as the young ladies working there was beyond impressive. Now for the cake itself! I mean a year later and we're still talking about how tasty, moist and delicious it was. We had the red velvet and lemon flavors for the wedding and it was definitely a hit with all the guests especially the picky ones. Definitely will recommend this place for any bakery needs. I wish I had more pics esp of the star war cake because they hit it out of the park!!! I can't say enough how great this shop is. The price too for the cake and cakes we ordered you cannot beat! They have a lifetime customer in me and my family! Thanks ladies! Edit: I was able to find more pics of the wedding cakes.

BEST BAKERY in the Northwest! Friendly staff, flesh pastries with a huge selection. My all-time favorite is the carrot cake!

This is a lovely bakery with a lot of baked goods - cookies, cakes, cupcakes, pastries, etc. They have really good coffee - not the best, but it does what it needs to do. If you are looking for fantastic coffee drinks, this is not where you would go. I look forward to returning and trying more of their baked goods!!

I have been meaning to write a review for a long time. This place is by far our favorite bakery in the Seattle/Tacoma area. More impressive than their delicious baked goods is how incredibly welcoming and wonderful the staff, and in particular, Alison is. They go out of their way to provide the best service to their customers, and also offer a military discount! I ordered a wonderful cake for my spouse's birthday and they surprised both of us by putting an edible photo of our dog on top of the cake! Just one example of their superb service. If you are in the area you HAVE to swing by for some of their baked goods!

Picked up a premade 6" vanilla cake with american buttercream. It was excellent and decorated beautifully. I was skeptical that it would make 14 servings, but as tall as it is and as rich and delicious as the buttercream was, it definitely has. So much better than Costco. Thank you!

I purchased Cupcakes for my sons Birthday, (using my husband's account since I already left a 5 star review years ago with pix of 2 of my kids eating cupcakes inside their place). I ordered cupcakes from another place and they canceled 24hours before the party due to something and refunded my money. I went here and let them know my issue. The owners are amazing. I asked my husband to pick them up since I was handling all the kids. He grabbed them but forgot 1 box. Not the places fault. In no time they had some delivered and went above and beyond. Everyone at our party was amazed. It all comes down to customer service. (The Cupcakes are always amazing though!!!) But a business that has the owners around and still give you the old school service, I couldnt recommend them enough.

First time visiting Sweet Themes Bakery and they’re just as sweet as the name suggests. Place has a wonderful selection of sweets from cupcakes,cookies,cakes, and other baked goods. The staff was incredibly sweet to my niece. The place was also punctual as we got there a bit before opening. Overall amazing!

I gave Alison some general instructions about a cake for my son's 1st birthday, and a theme, and she did an AMAZING job! The finished product was fun and creative and was a delightful interpretation of my theme. Probably the best experience I have had with a custom cake order.

first time ordering, in the past they have been super responsive to emails and with providing quotes. I ordered a cake and the ordering experience was easy, they called to ask questions and gave me exactly what I asked for. the cake was good but It was heavy on the frosting. we all just ate the cake and left the frosting ( we meaning my family of 7 people)

Called Sweet Themes Bakery for a last minute birthday cake request, even though it's a 7 to 10 day lead time, they squeezed it in! They also asked all the right questions to ensure the cake is decorated accordingly. A big thank you to Sweet Themes Bakery!!

I bought a premade cake and some sugar cookies. The cookies were beautiful and delicious. The cake is fantastic!!! Great shopping experience. Glad the shop isn't super close to my house or the staff would get to know my name. Make sure to check the website for special closures--they don't update their Google listing for those.

Not allowed to sit to enjoy my coffee and $ 20 worth of baked goods. Online orders only for everything. Quick to let me know all the things and options that weren't going to happen versus what could happen. Was told 2 times I couldn't sit to enjoy. The pandemic is over. If I spend 20 on coffee and goods I'd like to chill in the bakery for a moment. Not in my car. The mention of short staffed was 4 times. Ya. I get it. Do you want my business or are you chasing me out??? I was graciously accommodated at another 2 bakeries.

The girl who helped me was nice. I enjoyed the mint chocolate chip cookie, the snickerdoodle was good and soft(love a soft snickerdoodle), and the orange cupcake. That being said, I wanted to get a frosted sugar cookie as well but couldn't justify the price tag of 3 dollars for a small cookie. The cupcake was small too for 4 bucks. Again enjoyed the flavors, but it'll probably be only a rare treat.

I truly can not say enough amazing things about this bakery! I have ordered several cakes for various occasions and each one has been unique and delicious. From the delicate frosting to the balanced flavors of the rich, moist and flavorful cake they are a treat that is always a fan favorite. I have also picked up last minute cakes from the cake case and the friendly staff always offers to customize them for me and always make me feel that that cake was just waiting for me. They have many other assorted treats that I have picked up for dinner parties and other events. I have never had a bite I didn't like from this wonderful bakery. Please do yourself a favor and give them a try, you will not be disappointed!

Extremely friendly owners and staff, constant rotation of sweets, treats, and flavors for different seasons and holidays. Truly a treasure of downtown Kent! Great prices and better than Trophy or Cupcake Royale. Call a few days ahead if you want a specific flavor so they can make it or let you know if it will be in rotation. They also do custom cookies! This is our family’s new go-to spot for birthday and holiday treats!

I came on a Saturday during the farmers market so parking was crazy! They were able to get me a dozen cupcakes ro surprise my husband at work. The staff is super friendly & welcoming. They have a variety of tasty cupcakes as well as espresso. The peanut butter chocolate cupcakes were delicious.
