I was in town for a quick overnight stay and found this gem!!! Killer food, killer customer service, killer atmosphere! The people were so friendly and the food was everything you want in a BBQ joint!! If you’re in the area do yourself a favor and pay them a visit!

Will return without hesitation next time we're nearby. Exactly what we wanted. Hand cut fries. Great pickles. Dinner plate has three large pieces of perfectly seasoned + fried catfish. Po' Boy was a little weird (cheddar slices?), but only Louisiana really knows how to do those. Fried okra was good. Cole slaw was good. Tartar sauce was good, and unique. Would get everything again except the po' Boy. The spicy BBQ sauce wasn't spicy enough for me (but I like spicy). BBQ sauce was a little too sweet for me overall. Our server was perfect. Regret not getting her name to give her a shout out. Quaint, spacious outdoor seating at picnic tables. Comfy indoor seating with a lovely spot for two in front of the window. Only the other clientele left something to be desired (cops, bikers with racist patches on their jackets).

The catfish came out hot and they were nice thick pieces, had great flavor and was cooked perfect. The fries and okra came out cold. The ribs were bigger than expected and they had the best flavor. The smoke was thick and flavorful. The spicy bbq sauce was better than the regular.

We drive 25 miles to eat here. There are closer places to eat, fancier places but nothing that tastes this good. My husband LOVES his bbq and is very picky. They do have another restaurant closer to us but it is just not the same. We tried the other location twice and just can’t do it. This is a must try!

Stopped on the way through town. They had their loaded baked potato as the daily special, so I jumped at it. Fantastic meal and it's huge, big enough to split with your date. Well worth stopping for!

Maybe I'm spoiled to actual good food, I've traveled a bit and have a lot of experience with food. I ordered the sliced beef with smoked chicken on a baked potato, they brought the food out less than 5 mins later after the order was placed it was all cold, I asked the waitress why it was cold and she told me it shouldn't be and that they had just cooked it, I said there's no way this was just cooked, and I mean it was ice cold, I never took a bite and returned it and just got a refund. If you want an actual good barbecue experience don't come to okmulgee.

Average. I was really looking forward to this as I love bbq joints. Catfish po boy was decent but the cole slaw on it wasn’t great. Cat fish was cooked great. The slaw was the problem. Too much onion. Not a lot of flavor. The pulled pork was ok but nothing to scream about. Service was not so great. We got there late and they made us feel like they could care less we were there and wanted us to leave. Won’t go back. Can’t hang with great bbq.

I've dined in and had takeout a few times. I love their BBQ. I love all their meats and sauces. Their okra is good. I don't understand the plain white bread, but okay. Portions can be a lot, but it is good as leftovers as well. Wait times are good for takeout or dining in. The only complaint I would have is when dining in, It feels cramped.

I had to treat a friend to Daddy B's BbQ Okmulgee. What a delight! Two loaded potatoes, and we split a rib dinner with two sides! It must have been my lucky day, The special today loaded potato and drink 11 and some change! 😋. Upbeat oldies, calm welcoming environment, Such a heart warming, satisfying to the inversely, what a nice visit we had. I HOPE THIS SPECIAL RUNS FOR THE WEEKEND, JUST MAY HAVE TO CIRCLE BACK AROUND... CANT GET ENOUGH OF THAT BANANA PUDDING.. A CRUNCH OF COOKIE WITH EVERY BITE.
