I haven't been to this location in ages, I used to live a short driving distance from it. I was in the area on an errand and decided to stop in. The bookstore is in the corner you could almost miss it. I managed to find some comics for myself even tho I told myself I was there Xmas shopping. They have expanded on what they sell in their store, I came across so many Harry Potter items. I was in a rush as I was running errands, but I really hope to make my way back again soon.

Love the selection here, it's always got gems that you cannot find in some of the other branches. -3 stars because I was looking for a book about cakes for my kid. The guy in the picture said none of the Half Price Books had it in stock. On a whim, I doublechecked the HPB online marketplace about 10 minutes later. Found it available for in store pickup at Half Price about 20 minutes north from Southcenter. So yeah. Great place. It's a shame this clerk lied to me.

Great place to sell books/cds/games/puzzles I don't use anymore. Cash offer is decent for used books and they value the books fast. Their books are in good shape at this store and they sell games and journals and music.

Friendly staff and great prices. Large selection of books as well as tabletop games. I ended up with a huge stack of items by the time I left.

It's a bookstore and you can't go wrong with books. Also please leave your dog (pet) at home or in the car parked in the shade. The isles are narrow and I saw a lot of people nervous because one person's dog.

I love going to Half Price Books, it’s so nostalgic. It is a hidden treasure chest of stories! This little bookshop is a bookworm's dream come true. First of all, the ambiance is so charming. The moment you step inside, you're enveloped by that delightful, comforting scent of old and new books. The warm lighting and comfy reading nooks make it hard to leave. But it's not just the cozy atmosphere that won me over. The selection here is surprisingly extensive. From vintage classics to the latest bestsellers, they've got it all. I ended up discovering a few titles I'd been hunting for a while. And here's the practical part – the prices are unbelievably reasonable, hence their name, Half Price Books! LOL. You can fill up your reading list without emptying your wallet. Plus, they offer a nifty little loyalty program for frequent visitors. The staff is a group of book enthusiasts who know their stuff. They're friendly and full of great recommendations. If you're not sure what to read next, they've got your back. I also, enjoy selling my previous books back to them for others to enjoy. Overall, Half Price Books is a gem of a store for anyone who loves to get lost in the pages of a good book. It's a delightful escape from our virtual world and you might just find your new favorite novel here. Highly recommended!

I love their clearance section! The rest of the store is great to shop in as well. My family and I have been patrons of Half Price Books for about 13+ years and always find great items (music CDs, movie DVDs, bookmarks, journals, graphic novels, collectibles and more). If you can't find what you're looking for in-store, you can check online and find what you want at Half Price's website. Their customer service has always been great for any and all questions. If you're looking to sell/get rid of your gently used books, Half Price can provide an offer to buy. (I have yet to use this service myself as of thiss post). With Christmas right around the corner, they also offer gift certificates for your favorite bibliophile. :) Happy shopping!

Oh honey yeah I've been coming here quite a bit I usually come like twice a month or it's pretty good I think they kind of phone it in you know that they leave a lot on the field but it's okay it's you got a hunt-and-peck for something cheap you know they always want to charge you 10 or 15 bucks for it you know an ancient book I mean I don't mind paying you no 10 bucks for a good book but if it's like 30 years old I don't think so other than that though it's extremely convenient it's right by you know I live in Burien so I'm really close to it so it's really not a bother to get there especially when I don't cuz I don't work so I don't have to worry about the traffic I just go the other way.

Sold them a signed collectable they told me they would maybe be able to sell for 100 despite my telling them the value Took the 20 they offered and now I see it on the shelf for 250!?! I will never bring them anything of value ever again I have been to pawn shops that are more honest Have to say I am disgusted and disappointed

So much to choose from. If they don't have what you're looking for on the shelf, ask a member of staff and they can look it up. Even old issues of defunct magazines have been located for me. In lean times we have had to sell books, games and such, HPB will do their best to give you a decent price. Staff are friendly and approachable.

For a store that is basically dealy with historic artifacts of actual paper books, it was great, and the staff is friendly. If you have not visited I'd suggest a visit. If you like music instead of books, there is a music section also. Spend a few minutes wandering around exploring their shelves of actual books and music selections. Relax, slow down and enjoy.

I was totally shocked when I heard my cash offer for 52+ manga books + an unopened sealed jigsaw puzzle + some random entertainment stuff. It's almost like 20 cents or less per book to buy back. (Not even count everything else) I get it, it's third party and most people don't do much reading compared to decades ago, but still. The cash offer can't even afford for a lunch meal. ...I guess I will bring my business somewhere else for the future.

I LOVE this store. Stopped in when I drove past one day…I had recently decided to start reading a multi-book series and figured I might as well see if they had the first book in stock. Not only did I find the first three books in the series (it’s quite popular and I was not expecting to find even one, let alone three!) but the price was excellent and everyone who works there is very friendly and knowledgeable. I’ll be back for sure. What a treasure!

An absolute gem! Used bookstore with expansive collection. My favorite is the cookbook, gardening, guide section - can definitely snag some great deals here. They also have a book buy back program, which is super convenient. I always leave here with way more books than intended!

half priced books this is not. They're doing scalper rates on various books that are just out of stock. Looking for a manga that's in between reprints? Don't buy it here, you'll pay 4 times at least what it's worth.

Such a great experience! Books were organized in a neat, easy way; it was super easy to find things. My partner and I went in not expecting to get anything and walked out with seven books!

I purposely take my cards out of my wallet before I go here. I need more shelf space in my home because of this business. Great prices, eclectic, ever-changing selection, friendly, funny staff. Four great restaurants in walking distance.

This is one of my favorite local HPB locations. Great selections of every book genre you can think of, and the inventory of new and used is regularly refreshed. Staff here is helpful and respectful.

It's a great place to find books in other media. They have new and used items. My son likes to go there to check out their stock of retro gaming gear. We both enjoy the store as a place to take a break while having an adventure in the stacks. You never know what you might find. Also the stop has been consistently amazing with all of the esoteric questions that both my son and I are prone to having.

One of my favorite places to spend a half day anytime. Great selections of books, audio books, cds and vinyls. The place greets anyone with the wonderful smell of old paper and the staff are always so friendly and knowledgeable. Something more particular with this location is that it's surrounded with many great food options. If you love books or just have some time to kill. You could give this wonderful shop a try. You won't be disappointed.
