How can a medical group stay in business with such horrible billing practices? Are they taking advantage of emergency patients that can not defend themselves? The bill I received did not have any information about what I received at St. Peters hospital in Olympia , or what doctor or what procedure they were billing me for. Worst of all, they didn't answer the phone or return emails. Then I read other google reviews that stated they will take you to collections quickly if you dont pay! Really this billing statement looks fraudulent and I have great insurance that would have paid my bill if they would only ask or answer their phone. Why does Providence work with these people, or why do these people have such bad billing??

After 6 months, I received a collection letter. After the initial stun (since I always pay my bills on time or early) I called the very RUDE collection agency - they informed me that the hospital bills separately from the provider - and this is a bill from the provider. A bill I never received, nor has been run through my insurance. I've made 3 attempts to call this place and it always goes to a voicemail and no one returns my call. So thanks for probably ruining my credit because you can't be bothered to tell people they even have a bill from you. Not once did you ever try to call me or mail me anything. BAD BUSINESS!

I agree with the reviews about poor billing practices. We received a collection notice for nearly $500 with no explanation of the bill. It turns out they never billed our primary insurance though that information was provided to them 4 months ago. Lazy? Poor business practices? Fraud? I am not impressed and am surprised Providence/St. Peter's continues to work with them.

I received a bill on 8/11 for a remainder bill after insurance paid. It ledt $1200. I noticed that hadn't charged my secondary insurance like they had before (VA, disabled veteran). I've sent 2 emails on 8/11 and 8/14, but no response. I've been on hold for 45 minutes now and Noone has picked up. They're threatening to send me to collections if I don't pay the entire bill by 8/22. All I want is for them to bill the VA, send me an updated statement and I'll pay whatever the true bill is then. Looks like I'm filing a BBB and AG complaint

I need to share this to explain this place. Yes, they are difficult to reach but if you stay on hold long enough (30 mins once) you can reach them. Also if you email them information make sure you send it to .org NOT .com!!! The email address is on the bill I don't think I can post it here. It took me a month of patience and perseverance and sending it to the wrong address, but I was able to get the info to them that they needed and had my bill reduced! Be sure to pay them $50 per month while you're working on getting this resolved. They won't send you to collections if you do that and will refund the money if you didn't owe it. Finally, if you were granted charity at the hospital ask about emailing them the approval letter for a bill reduction. Was very apprehensive after reading all these reviews but I was happy to find out that with a lot of patience and perseverance you can get it resolved!

Terrible service, be prepared for them not to work with the VA and to contract out debt to collection agency for garnishment without even working with you. Or contacting you directly...0/10 not recommend

I received a bill for an emergency department visit that indicated that I had no insurance. I have insurance. They collected that information after my visit. Also, the visit was a complete waste of time.

I saw the absolute worst provider that I have ever seen in my life, that's part of your group. He's rude, condescending, interrupts patients, talking over patients, doesn't listen to patient concerns, doesn't thoroughly read recent history, labs or imaging, doesn't consider known side effects and peer reviewed literature. He should probably go be an IME doc. He doesn't have a single positive review online. Do better. I don't know why you keep Arin Braseth. He's a lawsuit waiting to happen. I will be filing a complaint on how I was treated.
