We just moved to the area so we wanted to try some local restaurants. Browns Point Diner was at the top of the list and I'm glad we camr here because thr food was delicious. Thr eggs benedict was perfectly cooked and the waffles were delicious. It's a smaller diner but has a very friendly and attentive staff.

Went today after being away for a couple years. What a great change! Customer service was 5 star. It was a simple order but the cooking and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. We will be back soon.

This is a rare gem, tucked away in the Brown Point area. I had a Monte Cristo on bread from a local bakery. Incredible! My wife had the Maple Chicken Salad. Again all made in-house fresh. If you are from this area and you’re not eating here then you are depriving your palate. This little diner is big in flavor and hospitality.

Friendly staff, homely atmosphere. I got the 1/2 sandwich and chowder for just $11 and was not disappointed. My wife had the French dip with chips that were homemade! They sell chowder on Fridays and boy was it my lucky day to try this place. If you're ever in the area and not sure what to try but want something new, this diner is a must!

Great little diner for lunch on a chilly, drizzly Saturday afternoon. Wait staff was super friendly and helpful, chefs were accommodating with our request to turn the breakfast special Chile verde omelette into loaded cheese fries. The 11yo proclaimed the grilled cheese to be perfect.

Great food but the greeter yelled when we came in and was very rude when we asked for another table where the sun was in our eyes and directly facing the door with constant wind. It was freezing. She might have been the cook. She was overweight with blonde hair done up in a bun and tattoos on her neck. Description given only for management to determine employee involved. Our waiter was great though.

This place can get pretty packed but the servers keep it fun and your drinks full. I really loved our pancakes and hash browns, I would not recommend the breakfast meats as much. They tasted pretty bland or off and I didn't like the texture. Sandwiches and things came out great!

I hate to leave bad reviews for small businesses. I really do. This feedback is not for anyone else that works there, rather the young woman who greets and seats people. I came in to pickup my take out order at 10 am on Sunday July 24th and instructed this young woman as such. For starters, no smile, no customer engagement, nothing. After I told her my reason for being there, she turned her back on me and walked away without a word spoken. I waited there very patiently for 10 - 15 minutes waiting for her or anyone working there to at least acknowledge me or follow up. Nope. Not happening. I had to walk up to her and ask for a status check on my take out food. She looked befuddled and told me, "I don't know" and seemed content to leave it at that. Not helpful 😒 My food was ready to go on the take out counter before I ever stepped through the door and for a customer facing employee that has no sense connecting the dots was something I was not expecting. Her non verbal communication spoke volumes. I hope this young woman understands that small business are solely dependent on repeat customers and good reviews. Everyone there was very busy but this person either does not like her job or doesn't care. Either way, not good for business. The team is only as strong as the weakest link. I get it, people are busy and humans make mistakes. I think the mistake here was having this person greeting customers with no eye contact or welcoming gestures of any kind. Not her strong suite. It could be lack of training or contributing towards the greater good. Everyone's time is valuable. Please respect it. The food? Omelets were great, potatoes were cooked on the outside, raw on the inside. I am hopeful to return back again as the service here on previous visits has always been great.

The service was good. My chicken fried steak was good… hash browns were good. Eggs a little under done. My ladies steak was too rare and her eggs were under cooked. 70 bucks for 2 breakfasts and a drink each is crazy to me. Probably won’t go back… but they were super nice.

My brother and I were in the mood for something different and decided to take a chance at this Diner and it did not disappoint! The decor is simple, yet charming and the service is great! The waitress was fast to take care of our needs and the food we got (burgers, fries, and onion rings) were just perfect! Never have my brother and I ate somewhere where we were 100% satisfied. Do yourself a favor and experience the welcoming and delicious diner, you won’t be disappointed!

This is one of the best diners I’ve been to in a long time. Incredible staff, delicious food, and great seating. Stop by if you’re in the area!

Cute place for an early weekend morning breakfast. Very hometown vibe. It's a comfortable place, not an adventurous place. Food was good but a little pricy. Service was excellent.

Good food! Slow to take our order. Probably waited 10-15 minutes although seated quickly for Saturday brunch, no wait to be seated. Pancakes are melt in your mouth, Hash browns are done nice and crisp, everything was cooked well not salty which is always a plus. The place is a little rundown but they try to keep what they have clean.

Great little dinner, staff was really friendly and helpful. I'm in a wheelchair and I had no problems getting in and around. They got us a table really quickly and the food was really good. Definitely will go back again.

Fun local spot. We came in with a group of 8 and had a great lunch.. The Black bean burger was decent but the secret sauce is amazing!!!! Lots of lunch choices.

Our visit was delicious. Kids menu is excellent. Relaxed, fun atmosphere where no one minded if we laughed loudly. Would go again happily.

I'm a big fan of these types of diners. I've previously gotten taken out from here, but this is my first time dining in. It was busy when we arrived, lots of people waiting to be seated. There was a sign on the door which asked for applicants to fill two or three different positions, including cook, so I expected we might be waiting a bit, but we were invited to a table reasonably quickly. Each of the staff were friendly and polite, and the food arrived quickly. I had ordered a patty melt, which came on quality bread and with a delightful amount of toppings. The burger patty itself was a bit too done for my liking, but I admittedly didn't ask for it to be prepared any special way. I'll do that next time. On the surface, the interior of the diner was welcoming and comfortable, though once seated, you'll find torn booths and some pretty apparent cracks in the walls. The glowing health inspection review on the window confirms there's nothing to be concerned about, though, and the food is quality. Three stars for this visit, but I originally leaned towards four. For some reason, the building maintenance issues bothered me more than they should have, admittedly, and the burger patty being too done was a touch disappointing, but I see the appeal to Browns Point Diner and will definitely be back. I would say on a normal day, this is probably a solid four star place.

Cozy 50s style diner with great food, outstanding, friendly service, cool jazz. I fully intend to return the next time I'm in the neighbourhood. I definitely recommend this place.

I’d say this is more of a 4.5 star than a solid 4. The waitstaff was AMAZING, and very attentive and friendly even when things got busy. The atmosphere is great, super charming and warm. The breakfast food definitely screams classic diner, which is also where it falls a little short. Some items lacked flavor and felt a little bland, and the the French toast seemed to be slightly undercooked. But that didn’t steer us away, definitely look forward to coming back at trying other menu items!

Found hair in food and they seemed to not care. When I showed it to the staff they just ignored me and didn’t even bother to to care. The cool staff does not wear hair nets I would really consider checking food before ever eating here. I will never return to this cut rate business again. And the price of food for the portion size is unreasonable.

I would give zero stars if that was a choice. Waited 40 minutes for breakfast this morning. Ordered Eggs Benedict with eggs cooked HARD. They came soft. The waitress had a major attitude when I asked to have it redone so I could eat it. She said it would be an additional 30 minutes then just walked away without letting me speak further. She was rude and unprofessional and a person shouldn't have to wait over an hour to eat. Small portions, over priced, rude people. I left hungry. Total waste of my time and energy. I am a cancer patient and my window of time to eat is limited due to how I feel physically. I will never go back here.

Had a delicious brunch and a great experience the other day - the perfect follow-up to a hike through Dash Point State Park. Browns Point has an unpretentious, low-key diner vibe that's hard to find these days for us Seattlites, and I loved it. Everyone was super friendly, food and coffee were served quickly, and the food was delicious and exactly what we hoped for from a diner brunch. I had the "Mom's Mess" scramble, which had a great balance of sausage, bacon, hash browns, onions, and other ingredients. My brother said the "Dad's Omelette" was the best omelette he's had in a long time - he commented that it had ample amounts of three different kinds of cheeses, which held everything together like an egg quesadilla, so probably a good choice for cheese-lovers. My sister enjoyed her corned beef hash, and we all loved the fluffy half-stack of pancakes that we shared. While we probably negated all of the fitness benefits of our 4-mile walk through Dash Point, this brunch was totally worth it. So glad we happened to find this place on our short visit to the Tacoma area. Thanks for the great food and warm welcome!

Always great food, patty melt being my personal favorite. Have also enjoyed their breakfast items over the years. Great location, pleasant and friendly staff. It’s always a nice escape from Tacoma to Brown’s Point for breakfast at the diner. Been meaning to try out the bar they have on a weekend night some time, haven’t had the chance yet.

Really tasty diner food. We had the 2-eggs-your-way breakfast and a veggie omelette. The bacon was crisped to perfection, the side toast (wheat bread and an english muffin) had a delicious dollop of butter, and the omelette was very flavorful with a large topping of parmesan. The staff was very friendly and on top of our table (constant fresh coffee and water being topped off). We will be coming back!

Rock solid all around diner. My daughter usually wants me to take her there. Good food and service. Nice atmosphere and decent view. I haven't witnessed it personally, but my friends tell me karaoke here is fun on Thursdays and Fridays. Come eat here.
