It was an amazing experience to visit this monument to one of the bloodiest battles for the Independence of the Americas. The flags, the sculptures, the views. Simply superb.

I really liked this place, despite being a bit shocking for the people that took me there that they started to charge per car. It seems that it used to be free and now there’s a 15000 COL pesos fee. The place is quite wide to explore, there a monument to bolivar, the bridge and great views from the top. Also there are toilets, some merchants if you want a drink or something to eat and around the area there are other highlights. This is one of the most important places to visit in Colombia, I believe, here took place the last battle that would grant Colombia its independence.

Enjoyed the landmark and its history. To be able to walk the same ground that was once walked on by Simon Bolivar was a special moment for me. I recommend all go and experience the emotions of the moment while you are there. You may not enjoy it if you are not into history.

The most impressive and important battle for Colombia's independence happened here and the place has been renovated recently. There are restaurant and coffee option. Parking is quite big and the monuments are a true delight to watch and study. The walk is not easy however worth a visit.

if you want to experience a mixture between nature and history, then this is the right place. Surrounded by the beautiful boyacense landscape, and located via Bogotá-tunja in a Little town called "Tierra Negra", you find the important monument "puente de Boyacá" that tells the story of Colombia's victory over the independence Battle back in 1819. The place has a beautiful view and there's no entrance fee. You have The option to pay for a guide that shows you around or explore the place on your own. There's a tiny little café that sells typical thing from the region. And the coffee is very tasty 😋.

This is spot where the colonial forces finally defeated the Spanish and Colombia with the surrounding countries gained their independence. A small monument but well maintained and worth a stop if only to appreciate the terrain in which the forces had to fight.

Historic place where the battle that won Colombia's independence was fought. Very well preserved and maintained... better to visit on a week day to avoid the crowds. The small convenience store in site was nice and the attendant very helpful and knowledgeable... great place for a good photo opportunity.

Awesome stop at this historical set. The place is big and beautiful, full of history. There is a gentleman who usually gets near the always lit torch and gives an explanation of the events that took place here. Highly recommend it.

A bit chilly first of all so bring a jacket. How anti-climatic! When one pictures the Bridge where the last big battle for independence was for New Granada, one does not think of a small bridge like this one haha! In any case, the area was super interesting and is very recommended for anyone looking to interact with Colombian history. The monument to Bolivar offers a sensational view and is very beautiful, as well as the monument to General Santander. My only complaint is that the highway very obviously cuts off what used to be one park dedicated the independence. While I didn't walk around the other side, I saw it through the car window and I must say that some of the monuments are in a lamentable state. Hopefully, the government does something about it

I learned a lot about the history of the Grand Colombia. The grounds are kept very nice, bathrooms and a small cafe are available. A great place to visit. Weekdays are better.

Puente de Bogota is a very interesting place to visit, especially if you like the history of a nation seeking independence. I only gave it 4 stars because there are very few interpretation signs explaining what happened.

Historical place with monuments, restaurants and cafeterias. Peaceful with prairies and beautiful trees. A good place to stop with your family and friends before arriving Tunja. Some monuments have been vandalized.
