Nice enough place. Rooms were clean. Staff was nice. Breakfast was fine. No frills but decent. One negative, coffee was cold.

Very nice hotel at a nice price for what you get. My wife and I liked it so much we picked this brand for our next stay the following night in LA. There were a couple small down sides. The location is near the highway and I could hear cars and trucks going by. The breakfast was good but not the best, I guess I expected a little nicer based on the rest of the hotel. Really small things though. Overall it was a nice stay and the staff were friendly and helpful. Being close to the highway is a positive and negative so pick your preference!

Rude staff. Computer systems are bad. They will throw you out due to there own old POS systems that can not properly charge customer. Always struggling with paying credit cards mostly not working here. Breakfast average you won’t like it. They have so many problems there staff don’t know what to do. They don’t want to change and throw away there loyal customers like trash.

Izak treated me with no respect. Room was to my satisfaction although. Izak...not so much. Deal with the Lovely Nice Lady on Days.

I stayed here for 8 nights. The room I originally stayed in needed a lot more attention to cleanliness. There were stains all over the carpet and couch. I thought my bed was clean until I woke up to earwigs in my bed. GROSS. Showers had mould and shower soap dispensers were practically empty. As expected, all the front desk staff were on point and were able to find me a new room, although the hotel was sold out - Thank you! The second room was much cleaner, but had a funny smell to it. Breakfast options are the same every day. Coffee/tea, oatmeal, cereal, turkey/pork sausage, cold breakfast sandwiches and eggs made from a bag. Weekends, they might have the waffle station available. Make sure you dont have any belongings in your car! On many occasions, I've caught random people walking through the parking lot scoping for valuables in cars. Overall, the hotel wasn't the worst, but didn't feel like a Marriott hotel. This place needs much more attention to cleanliness, more security, and better breakfast options.

I actually didn't stay there. But, I imagined if I did, my rating would be the same. We have stayed at several SpringHill/ Marriott locations over the years. We've had nothing but great stays and good experiences! My husband had contacted the hotel by phone in 2019 before Covid hit with an inquiry. He spoke with the front office manager "Reema Chandra." She was very informative with the questions he had. It is now 2023. We decided to stop by the hotel in Modesto to revisit the inquiry. Ironically, Reema was there at the desk. We were impressed that she remembered speaking with my husband. She went above and beyond to satisfy the question and fulfill our need. We drove away extremely appreciative!!! Reema has solidified our conclusions, that it's extremely difficult to choose anywhere else 😊 😴💤! We thank you Reema ❤️👍🏽!

The hotel and staff were very nice. The breakfast area managed by Yvonne was well organized and clean. She always tries to help her guests.

Stayed at the SpringHill Suites for 3 nights and everything went smoothly. The WIFI didn’t work the first night but that was fixed the next morning. The exercise room is small but plenty to keep you busy. It would be good if they had cleaning products in there so I can wipe off the machines before & after use. Each day the breakfast had plenty of options. If a runner, I made a 3.1 mile course from the hotel on Garmin. Give it a try!

My fiance and I stayed here on a business trip in the area. This hotel is EXCELLENT! Exceptionally clean and smells fresh from the moment you walk in. The continental breakfast is hot and fresh and taste delicious, and the staff are all very nice and accommodating. The rooms are also very large and spacious and provide a refrigerator and microwave which was very convenient, as well as, the tv offers all the best channels, with todays tv services its hard to find affordable channels both myself and fiance enjoy to watch. Very nice and relaxing stay, we will be back!

In 27 years of traveling I have never had a staff as nice and accommodating on every aspect of my stay. Great rooms, great prices, great location and even better staff. Won’t even consider any other hotel in the Stockton/Modesto area.

My experience at this location has been awesome. Here on business for the week and I love the great customer service Sequoia has to offer. Pleasant on the phone and in person. Breakfast is on time daily and always clean. Room is decent, bed may be a bit on the uncomfortable side but because of Sequoia, I’ll continue to return to this location.

I'm impressed with this place considering the decent price. We got a one bed with a sofa couch since my kid came with us. Most rooms are just one large room however this one came with a partial partition which offered some privacy between us. Most hotels have small bottles of body wash/shampoo/conditioner but this one offered full size and their conditioner left my hair feeling soft. The extra blankets and pillows are in the room so I didn't need to request them. The vaulted ceiling made the room not feel claustrophobic. The bed was comfortable, even the sofa bed. I'm glad it came with a hair dryer since I forgot mine. The staff was friendly. They serve a full free breakfast of waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Over all I would highly recommend this place and also stay here again if needed.

Hello Holly: Not sure if you're aware that the maximum allowable rate for Federal Government employees staying in hotels in Merced, CA is currently $113.00 per night. That amount is a bit lower than what your property in Merced charges per night. Is this something that can be addressed for those Federal employees who currently work in and near Merced on an extended basis (3-6 months +) and would like to stay at your property for that time? Thank you.

Have stayed here twice now and on both occasions we were satisfied all the way around. Great stay, great people.

Good hotel overall. Not the cleanest but that’s to be expected, not absurdly filthy either. Only drawback is breakfast doesn’t open until 6:30.

A good location, right off the highway. The staff is great, the rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is decent and the coffee is good. I'll stay here again.

We stay here quite often. It's location is handy to downtown, highways and major thoroughfares. Staff is friendly, welcoming and attentive.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. No issues with the staff. The rooms need some attention though. The bed was six inches away from the wall. Don’t like climbing over my wife if I have to I use the bathroom at 2am. No USB ports in the room except for the two in the alarm clock and one didn’t work. And the television was sitting on a 30 inch dresser, lower than the bed, which made it very difficult to watch a movie while laying down. No deal breakers, I would stay here again but not for more than a night or two.

Terrific location with lots of shops & restaurants around and the service was great. Rooms are big and comfy but could use a little attention to the furniture.. chairs and tables were scuffed and the couch had a stain on it. Overall a definite strong option for Modesto.

This place is nice and great stay. The food was good, and staff was very friendly. The hotel was nice and cozy, no issues really. Except I feel bad for the hotel to waste money on a security guard who sleeps all shift long. Walked the parking lot and found the guard sleeping with his window down and holding a cigarette. He was also parked in his patrol car in the red zone. Guess the laws do not apply to security guards who sleeps. Other than that great place to bring family and friends, security is as good as a car alarm.
