Hotel is ok. Staff was ok. Breakfast ok. Worst experience in a hotel I’ve ever had! Multiple families staying in single rooms, congregating on the walkway in front of our room. Partying outside our room. Music playing. BBQing out of the back of a truck. Drinking alcohol in the parking lot. All of this is fine…except at 10:30 at night when we had to get up at 5am is not cool. Front desk did little to nothing about it. One guest at this party stated, “This is a hotel, not your house!” This was two nights of bullying and outright disrespect from other guests. Couldn’t pay me to stay again.

Hotel is clean and staff looks like they are constantly cleaning. On 9/27 The customer service however, is absolutely terrible. The Lady from the front desk called our room screaming checkout was 30 minutes ago! We were confused thinking we had the room for one more day. We were staying there, because my spouse just had surgery and was staying there for recovery. We were going to stay there a whole week, but after receiving terrible customer service I will not give them my money and never will again. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where they didn’t ask me for a late checkout or to extend my stay. I have never been yelled at to leave my room.

On Oct. 20, 2022, I registered and paid for one night ($130 through Priceline) at the Best Western Motel (Palm Court Inn) in Modesto, CA. I registered my Ford van including the license plate number with the front desk. While my friend was in the motel room, I had to do some business elsewhere (around 9:00 PM) and I went to my van to use my smartphone. It was a warm night and my van was very hot. I removed my shirt in the van in order to stay cool. I don't have A/C in my van. Shortly thereafter, I dozed off. I'm 68 years old. At around 10:45 PM, I was suddenly woken up by someone who was yelling, "Get Out! Get Out Mr. Turner!" I saw bright lights shining into my van and there was loud pounding on my vehicle. Someone was also yelling, "We know you're in there, Mr. Turner. Get Out! Get Out!" I nearly had a heart attack. A short while later, I heard, "If we have to, we'll break into your vehicle." I have no warrants or wants. I'm not on probation or parole. I then exited my van and saw two Modesto, CA policemen. They asked me what I was doing, and I explained that while working with my smartphone I dozed off. They told me they had a report of someone sleeping in a van. They didn't specify who that person was. (Later, the manager told me it was probably the security guard who called the police.) The police told me I couldn't sleep in my van. They told me "This is private property." I explained to them I was a registered guest and I did nothing wrong. The police told me I couldn't go back to my van. I then told the police I would return to my room. After leaving the police, I was so upset that I went to the motel's fitness center thinking that some brief exercise would help me to calm down and relieve some stress. After about 10 minutes, I decided to leave the motel to look for a restaurant. I drove to a local truck stop and due to the severe stress I had experienced and my tiredness I quickly fell asleep. I awoke the next morning with a headache and feeling very groggy. I then returned to the motel to check out. The police never had any probable cause regarding any type of criminal activity, and they never checked my ID. I consider this police harassment. Moreover, the motel should never have called the police on me. There should be police body cam footage of this incident to corroborate my report and to show a jury. I also discovered this hotel illegally/fraudulently double billed me. Maybe we should call this hotel Worst Western Hotel!

Very nice place to stay as they accommodate for single women and put them inside the Courtyard area to be better protected. I love that consideration

Had to kill a bunch of mosquitoes that were in my room, and the door wouldn't latch unless it was slammed or push/pulled with force to lock. It was quiet and clean for the most part, could use an upgrade.

Beds are a bit hard and they don’t seem to use comforters. Only a fleece blanket wrapped in two top sheets. But I love pillows!

Dirty. Didn’t have right room and though I was given a suite, they had to place blowup mattress in our room for our kid. Room smelled like old cigarettes, not enough towels, soiled old mattress and had multiple bug bites on arm in morning. Didn’t help matters that someone took out a power pole across from hotel and we lost power. This is a glorified Motel-let’s be clear. Forfeiting my second night and will never stay again. Images of gross mattress and bug bites.

Everything you would expect from a Best Western at a price which is usually among the cheapest BW's you will ever find. Good room Good layout Good breakfast Good staff. Good freeway on/off. If you're thinking of the nearby M6, you might be surprised by how much more you can get for how little more money.

The is a great place to stay. Close to many eating places some even within walking distance. Rooms are clean and they service a continental breakfast and they have good wifi which is what I needed besides a good bed to sleep in.

My car broke down passing through Modesto. Kim was exceptional!!! However there was a creepy guy hanging around the property that didn’t have a room!!! The day shift guest services rep had the nerve to ask if the creep was a guest of mine!!!! Whyyyyy would he be?!!! I’m not from Modesto and I don’t know anyone! The only reason I stayed there was because it’s close to the dealership where my car was being serviced. It was a weird and uncomfortable experience. I definitely won’t be back.

Live out of town.. Needed a place for my wife (who was having surgery in Modesto) where I could park in front of the room for easy access. Front desk accommodated us with a room in a quieter area, away from the normal hotel traffic and noise. Breakfast was pretty good and provided good options.

The service was good and the rooms were serviceable, but let's be real, this is a decent MOTEL, not a 3 star hotel. The room was small but clean and adequate, the beds were hard, the noise level was higher them I like because of the exterior entrances, and the "continental breakfast" was minimal but it was fine. Cost is was more than this place is worth, however, and if you're expecting a 3 star hotel you're going to be disappointed.

Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean but uncomfortable. The mattress on the main bed was much too firm, and the one on the fold-out sofa felt like being directly on springs. Room was cold when we arrived, and heater was noisy and drying while trying to sleep. Will look for more comfortable accommodations next time.

This is the place where I prefer to stay when I'm in town. It's close to the shopping centers. Rooms are always clean. I had an issue with the entrance door and they came to fix it within two minutes. The staff are nice. Breakfast bar is good. Price is reasonable.

Room was VERY clean & tidy; breakfast was ok; but pretty limited in selections; could be improved for the high cost of the rooms! And the "no smoking" ban needs to be inforced; had rude guests smoking right outside the room!it Check in desk clerk was VERY friendly & helpful!

I booked a room with a friend. In the evening I went to my van which was very hot I took my shirt off and I was starting to work on my smartphone. I fell asleep and about an hour later someone was pounding on the van yelling get out get out. It was the Modesto Police and they said they had a complaint someone was sleeping in the van. I told him I'm a paid guest at this motel and I just happened to fall asleep. I did nothing wrong. The police were harassing me. I told them I'm going to my room. I contacted customer service. This is outrageous. I'm not going to pay for the room. I'm going to get a lawyer because I think my rights were violated.

Great place to rest after sleeping in my car on a two week long road trip. Everything was clean, breakfast was good. Side not: If you need to go anywhere, dont walk. There are homeless people everywhere who all kept asking for money. One followed me into the grocery store.

I don't think I've ever met nicer staff at a hotel. Everyone bent over backwards to make my stay pleasant & comfortable. When there was a problem with the air conditioning, they had maintenance there practically before I hung up the phone. It was quickly determined the AC could not be immediately fixed. The next thing I know the head of housekeeping and the gentleman doing maintenance were there with new keys and assisted moving me into a new room, where they'd already turned on the AC. KUDOS esp to Lily & Gilbert. The only thing I wish is that the inn didn't use cleaning products with such heavy fragrance. Definitely recommend the Palm Court.

Grand rooms, maid service, front desk customer service is one that's quality and very hospitable. The only thing that might need improved is getting some better tv stations but the staff, rooms and the jacuzzi, pool, gym and laundry rooms were very outstanding and clean.

Very professional place, employees are nice and very helpful. Front desk staff was great and had great customer service. The rooms were great and very clean. Outside and parking lot areas were ok. Great security staff, spoke with a Polynesian security officer and had a good laugh. The place was very well protected I'll tell you that is for sure.
