Beautiful interpretive centre with a lovely cafe. Toilet facilities and a small exhibition. It’s about 300m walk from there to the cottage itself. Exposed to the elements but a pretty walk. OPW guide gave us a well informed tour of the three rooms.

What a treasure in the middle of Connemara! We hadn't heard of this place until an Irish relative from Spiddal took us here and I'm so glad he did! We got an excellent tour and learned so much about Ireland's history, "the troubles", the people and the rich Gaelic language and culture which still thrives. The interactive displays bring it all to life and share it in a dynamic way. Also loved seeing the Pearse cottage. Well done! Really enjoyed the centre and the tour!

I really enjoyed my visit here, the centre had lots of information about Pearse and Irish culture in both Irish and English, with many interactive screens which were all cleaned after use. I was also given a stylus ensuring I wasn't touching the screens. Incredible scenery surrounding the area, cottage is short walk from centre and its interior is recreated to match what it used to look like. The staff were friendly and very informative. Overall it's well worth a visit if in the area.

A lovely little museum, mostly in the Irish language, with a cottage in the back that can be toured. It was very interesting and informative! Staff there are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable.

The folks in here, at both the cafe and cultural center are lovely. While the Irish people are great souls throughout the country, the people in the cafe were especially nice and welcoming. The cafe has some great snacks and refreshments and the museum has some great history that’s worth a trip by locals and tourists alike.

The new visitor centre is excellent and well worth a visit. It's brand new (Summer 2017) , designed and built to the highest quality and houses a fascinating museum.
