The food was yummy our waitress was super nice and helpful. One of the people didn't like their food unfortunately but they took it back without any issue. Would go back again for sure.

This is a very lively spot in Orange County for a night club/restaurant. One long bar and a lots of tables for bottle service. I’m too old for bottle service but this spot looks fun for that type of yolo’ing. I went on a Friday and it’s a younger 20’s to 30’s crowd. It can get pretty crowded but still walkable. Lots of security and bar tenders too, definitely a spot I’d recommend to go check out in the OC for night life. I’d definitely come back and I would love to visit this spot for their food in the future.

Parking is difficult, but the food, service, and ambiance was great. They make their own ginger beer for cocktails that is strong and tastes more natural. Some of the seats were torn and I hope they replace those. Otherwise, it is a really nice place.

I have to say this is a very bad restaurant. The food was average and very poorly served. They did not think it was a problem to bring my fellow diners food to the table cool and 15 minutes before mine. Even the attitude of the servers did not reflect any care for the customer. Won’t be back.

Love this place. Great service by the entire staff. Great drinks and most importantly a great atmosphere to enjoy a night out full of drinks and dancing. Bottle service available but you’ll want to book ahead. Lots of celebrations so they’re tables are usually reserved beforehand. Have fun!

Came to Mesa for couple of drinks and had fun. It does get pretty crowded after 10pm which makes it hard to get a drink or use the restroom. But you're there to socialize with beautiful people so enjoy that part and have fun.🎉😎 Jason at the bar was the #BEST. Will come back to see you again for sure. 😉😘

Overall: 4.5/5 Came on a Thursday night but it was still packed. They have a nice lounge set-up but the paths of travel are narrow so we got stuck a lot. This is especially true by the DJ since they didn't put in any extra space for a dance floor so there were people dancing in front, blocking the way. The music and drinks were good. We had a great time and would come back as it's a great place to chill with friends.

I used to go here every weekend...This place became trash when they started enforcing a "dress code" for Friday's and Saturdays. Makes no sense. THEY DONT ALLOW HATS ANYMORE on Fridays and Saturdays, but it's OK on Thursday? Whoever management is needs to make it make sense. In any rate, they're trying to be upscale, was a good environment after a long week of work to go out for a drink and mingle.

Don't wear your caps any day other than Wednesdays. Apparently that is dress code as they are trying to thwart gang violence. Apparently Wednesdays there is no threat of that. Servers were all very personable and food was decent. The cocktails - very expensive.

Nice and elegant lounge. The wait at the bar can be a little long sometimes, but it is worth to wait for Diego's cocktails. The music selection is very good.

In summary, our bottle service experience at Mesa is 2 stars; -2 stars for not meeting expectations, -1 star for inflated tip by waitress without consent. Full Review: I had a friend visiting so I decided to get a few of my friends to pitch in on a table at Mesa for a Saturday night. I've been told by a few people (who have not been there since COVID) that this is a place to dress up for, and it's pretty "high end," so I told the guys to go smart casual. We (4M1F) got there at 11PM, and we instantly noticed we were over dressed. Almost everyone was casual, some guys were wearing hoodies and some girls were wearing shorts and a tank top. At the table, we got our bottle pretty quick, but we were the last table to arrive so I supposed that would be expected. Nevertheless, within 15 minutes, a few from the group wanted to go to another place so we ended up pounding our bottle and left the place by midnight. Upon receiving the bill, there was a 20% tip inclusive by default, so I put $0 in the tip section (we were there for an hour and I knew I would never come back). Before we left, I noticed the waitress saw the receipt and did not hide her discontent. On the next day, since I have my card linked to my Apple Wallet, I saw the HOLD amount and the FINAL amount had a difference of 10%. When the transaction came through into my statement, it is evident the waitress added an extra 10% onto the bill without my consent. Lesson learned. It was our first and will be our last time there. There are better places in Newport and on 18th.

A fine variety of humanbeings, stiff drinks and bangers all night. Solid spot for the 21-35 yr crowd

The ambiance is awesome! Really cool decor. They look like they are trying to be Vegas with the way the waitresses dress 🙈. The charcuterie boards are big and pretty. Quite a bit of food, enough for 4 I’d say. The Diavola pizza had a good flavor (good cheese!) but the spiciest diavola I’ve ever had. Crust was good but the base dough was floppy. Wine was way too expensive for the brands. Overall I’d probably come back but would choose cocktails and maybe try the mushroom pizza. If the base dough is not good again then maybe try something different.

Food was ok, but they were very disrespectful. The kicked us out after ordering a drink without notice of the 2 hour table limit. We asked one of the waitress Stephanie if she was kicking us out, she responded yes and didn’t even give us an option to go to the bar. They rushed us as the other party was waiting for the table. I even fell leaving the table because of the amount of rush I felt causing me to drop my cake. Not recommended if you want to have a good time.

Mesa, is the type of place where you can enjoy a wonderful meal, with great customer service. Then after 9pm, dance the night away. The DJ, was outstanding, playing a mix of new and old school Hip Hop & R&B. I'm looking forward to going again real soon.

Chef Abad gave us an experience we won't forget. Every bite was amazing and unique. Each plate was well thought out and perfect portions. My favorite item on the menu was the scallop and aged beef! They melt in your mouth.

Stopped by with friends for food and drinks. The menu is small, the atmosphere is nice but very, very dark - we needed a flashlight to see the menu. It can get a little loud inside when it gets busy. The front staff was nice and seated us in a nice booth. We had a reservation we had made earlier. We ordered the charcuterie board - very minimal spread for $24, we would not order it again. We added a side of Brussel Sprouts and they were heavenly. We also celebrated a birthday and had the creme brûlée $8. It’s a small portion for one. Great Presentation on a serving board! Our waitress was very nice and would check on us. And as others mentioned parking is crazy busy.

We just came here for our valentines dinner and let me tell you....We were not disappointed! The experience we had was beyond great, phenomenal actually. Mostly because our server (Mika) was so attentive and super great to us the entire time. She checked in on us at the perfect times throughout the dinner experience. We also noticed a couple next to us being difficult with her and she handled it with so much grace and professionalism. Also- the food was so amazing! Thank you Mika for making our valentines dinner so special! We will be back very soon!

Always love kicking it here with friends. It was nice of them to take me out for some birthday drinks. A great lounge to be at in OC.

They think they’re something special. Peeped my head out not even past security sensors. “No reentry”. Trash establishment and bouncers. Y’all are low tier. Dj and crowd are boring anyway. Save your money and time. Spot and people are outdated.

Bought a table here for my birthday. Live in LA, but spoke to Alexa to get more info and see what I was able to do 3 weeks before the day. I was informed for the amount of people coming, that I would be able to seat 10 ppl for 1k. I was also informed that due to the amount of people, getting drinks and not bottles would be best. I was up for it. The week of I reached back out to Alexa, and ask if I can bring some decor to decorate the table, and she said of course! Just not balloons. I thought we were ready to go! The day of, I drove to the resort that I was having my birthday celebration, and emailed Alexa around 8-9am, about when can I drop off some decorations (birthday banner and some paper pom moms) and I was told I couldn't anymore. I was very confused as to why I couldn't anymore, but let it go. I get to the club around 10:30pm, and was on the table list, but was told our table wasn't ready. I was perplexed as I thought we had a resy, but was ok to wait- however after 15-20 min, I asked what's the hold up, and they said they are waiting for a table to pay. At this point, I couldn't wait any longer since the club would close shortly due to the time change. I asked what else was available and I was shown this smaller table, a slightly smaller quota, and I was fine with it. Again- confirmed the drinks quota, and not to do bottles and order drinks only. However, our server spoke to others at the table telling them if we didn't order bottles, I couldn't have the table, and the celebrations to come with it. I caught on to it, and corrected her, and the table service host, but still indiscreetly this cocktail waitress discussed with my other friends bottles needed to be ordered. At the end, I payed more than the table quota, and the waitress kept inserting a high tip for me to swipe, just disgusting. Lastly to make matters worse, my phone fell in between a bar sofa, that for some reason was unattainable for me to retrieve. It was a deep insert that my hand almost got caught in. I begged the staff to help me get my cell in this hole behind their sofa, and was told that they couldn't do anything until the cleaning crew came. I have reached out to the staff that night, the next day, and Alexa twice, and still no response, however my phone is still there (Find My iPhone). At this time, I may have to contact legal enforcement since they are not taking seriously. However I never need to go to Mesa again.

A perfect spot to meet up and hang out with friends. Ambience is energetically chill. Waitresses are gorgeous. Drinks are plenty. Service is spot on. Classy place that’s for sure. Highly recommended. I.

I had the pleasure of dining at Mesa in Costa Mesa and I cannot recommend it enough! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but our server Brandi made the experience even more memorable. She was incredibly sweet and attentive, and went above and beyond to recommend some amazing dishes for us to try - especially since it was our first time there. We were celebrating my mother's birthday and Brandi made sure to make it extra special for her. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and comfortable. She took the time to explain the menu and even made some great drink recommendations. The food was outstanding! Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavors were incredible. We were blown away by the quality and presentation of every dish we ordered. It was clear that the kitchen staff takes great pride in their work. Overall, our experience at this restaurant was amazing, and I can't thank Brandi enough for making it so special. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal and great service. Don't hesitate to visit - you won't be disappointed!

Security was stalking me but outside of that this is a very cool spot with 5 fireplaces and lots of seating. Drinks didnt taste the best but looked pretty.

Classy and chill ambience with attentive servers and craft drinks. Great music contributes to the experience, at a volume where conversation is still comfortable. Reservations are recommended, but full menu is available in the spacious bar area which is open seating.

Hip, modern bar/restaurant full of good looking people. Tables fill up fast so best make reservations if you want to eat. Drinks are really good and not weak. The old fashion is bomb! Staff is just as good looking as the guests :)

Just moved here from Vegas. Decided to checkout Mesa. Friday night went out with my cousin for a few drinks and food. Our bartender left all of a sudden and we had nobody waiting on us. I called the manager named Sabrina and she placed our drink and food order and handled everything with at utmost professionalism. Drink came out right away and food was served thereafter. She comped the entire meal. Very grateful for this kind of gesture and definitely recommend Mesa. Thanks again for amazing customer service.

Almost perfect place, bottle service needs improvement of attitude from the servers. The restroom needs to be modified, because waiting times are too much. Waiting 20 minutes to use the restroom is not up scale place.

  • 2/5 Sebastian S. 2 years ago on Google
The front desk person was literally giving you the attitude, so I wasn’t sure maybe she was the customer, I was the host instead? The bartender was actually quite annoyed. He kept coming back to ask us if we need anything or okay. Lately, he came back like at least 5 times in the past 10 minutes. It’s like in the middle of I was talking with friends or anything. By the time we put the card on the check, he took long time to get there. I really have no idea what he was thinking or doing.

Super fun crowd, bartenders and great music! I gave three stars because there is no room to dance and the lighting in the bathroom is terrible. Second, it makes no sense to have an attendant with cosmetics in bathroom bc you can't see your face.

Great food with great presentation. This is a restaurant/lounge/ night club. They have plenty of appetizers abs entrees to choose from. The food is delicious and it comes with great presentation. This is a more upscale place. You can have dinner there and stay there after four the night club atmosphere later at night.
