Native Son in DTSA is a great, central rooftop location. There is a great selection of craft brews on tap. The rooftop space is predominately outdoors. It can be nearly standing room only Friday and Saturday nights. They serve a couple of awesome big burgers here. I highly recommend the "Santa Ana Burger". There are a range of vibes at Native Son, depending on the day, time, event, DJ, or band. I most enjoy a beer and burger with a view during off-peak times -- afternoons (especially for sunsets with a full moonrise).

Don’t freely give 5star great reviews - but my family and I love this rooftop bar and restaurant. They have delicious craft cocktails, 20+ craft beer rotating handles and they brew their own beer, brewery is in DTLA! Try their Mexican lager El dojo or IPA circle boy! They have monthly food specials with pasta, burgers, chicken sandwiches, cheese plates, crab cakes, BLT’s, grilled cheese, and burritos with “pig sauce”! Their kitchen is full of creative items. Their Saturday and Sunday brunch is fire and open around 10am. Attentive staff, friendly and knowledgeable. Bottomless mimosas and brunch cocktails. Friendly chill vibes during the week and lively community on Friday and Saturday evenings. They also have fun events and all you can eat BBQs during the holidays: Labor Day, 4th of July and Memorial Day. Safe, family friendly, and enjoyable. Live music and DJ’s on weekends. Don’t walk, run! Love this bar.

Overlooking the downtown area, this rooftop bar is probably gunna be a favorite spot of mine for happy hours. They have a lot of brewskis to choose from although it's only 1-2 bucks off, happy hour from 4-6 is always a vibe. So come hang out, enjoy the views, order some fries while you're at it. Fries: Get! For $7, they give you A LOT. However, it's loaded with seasoning and salt so... be prepared to order some more beers and stay awhile lol. Parking is over at a nearby structure and after hanging out for a few hours I only had to pay like a dollar so it was 100% worth it. On colder days there's heat lamps outside too so that's nice but you'll still wanna bring a jacket.

Great rooftop patio area and indoor seating as well. The bar even wraps from inside to our so on busy nights there’s multiple places to order. They have some very interesting drinks on tap, I got a mint chocolate seltzer which was amazing and a Baja blast seltzer which tastes just like Baja blast! Also very friendly service from the security guard to the bartenders so i would highly recommend and would definitely come back

Great restaurant. Great patio. Perfect setting to highlight both the Orange County beer culture and the gentrification of Santa Ana. There is a wide selection of interesting beers on tap. Most are from Southern California. Another interesting feature is the attached BBQ -- famous for its smoked wings. Sweet patio -- with benches that appear to have been made from recycled stadium bleachers -- overlooks the downtown area . It's well-heated for those cold nights. We will return here.

Came by on a Sunday to hang out and have some brunch. The apple cider mimosas were delicious and definitely worth $10/bottle. The maple french toast was amazing!! I'm not a huge fan of maple but these were perfectly balanced in flavor! Highly recommend stopping by for brunch!

The place is nice but bartender (Desirae Jaime) communication is bad. I asked for $10 happy hour pitcher and she said let me find out if it's available. Then she came back with a pitcher a few minutes later and didn't tell me the price. I gave her my credit card to charge but she said let me find out the price and she went back. A few minutes later, she came back and charge me pitcher for $27. I was like, isn't it $10. She said this is a different one. She shouldn't told me $10 pitcher wasn't available anymore before bringing the $27 pitcher.

Rooftop bar located in downtown Santa ana. I like the location but I'm not much a fan of the beer here, maybe have not found the one I like. The mixed drinks are delicious and strong. Only have been here twice, It does get full on a Fri, Sat or sun night

Need to caveat I was there on a Thurs early evening so may not be the same experience at peak times. Was fairly empty and service was fast, helpful, and friendly. Good beer selection, especially the guest beers. Music was a little loud but I'm not young and cool so people probably like that

The beer selection is always great. They have seating with a nice view over 4th Street in downtown Santa Ana. If you happen to be up there near sunset you're in for some beautiful views. Can't go wrong with this place for some brews.

Went on a Friday night with the bro after the original club we were supposed to go to didn’t allow “cargo shorts”. We cruised the sidewalks until we finally heard some decent music playing from Native Son. Really chill atmosphere; great place for mature folks to lounge & crack a cold one, or get their step on. Sweet view from the outside 2nd deck patio. DJ LexaKhan was a SOLID DJ. Played a variety of different genres of music instead of the same old overused songs that the other bars and clubs were playing. If you’re looking for a spot to chill & vibe out amongst the grown folk, this place is it.

Cool rooftop bar in Downtown Santa Ana. The bartender, Beverly, was awesome! The drinks were good too 😊

Visitor from Cen Cal. Family took us out there for some breakfast and beers and it was a good time. Great atmosphere! Was only bummed out that they didn't have some hazy's on deck to take a 6 pack home, but other than that definitely recommend!!

Great outdoor venue for brunches and the like, as well as a covered eating area and bar if sun isn't your thing. Drink list is varied ranging from bottomless mimosas to high end mixed drinks. Had the corpse reviver with the breakfast burrito. No complaints save that when it gets busy food orders tend to take a little longer.

Visited last week on an early Wednesday afternoon for a super-late lunch… Great Caesar Grilled Chicken salad. I was suggested to wash it down with an “Idaho aerobics IPA” (For the sake of eating healthy, if you get my drift); and it all worked out deliciously… Great ambiance, great service, VP and General Manager Lacy Allen greeted me in person, not an everyday thing at least in my own, humble experience . Serious kudos to Mr. Sanchez and his crew on what I’m sure will also be a huge success!!!

Just stuck around long enough to have a few beers while passing through the area. The place seemed very spacious and the staff were very friendly. Great beer too!

Awesome rooftop patio. Great vibe, everyone seemed to be having a good time. It wasn't uncomfortably crowded but some groups did need to wait a few minutes to get tables, if you don't mind standing with your beer or pulling up a bench with no table, there's really no problem. Or you can wait a few minutes for one to open up. There was indoor seating with large, open patio doors and outdoor seating. There were 20+ taps with lots of tasty choices. I was stoked to get Pliny the Elder on draft! Nice and cold. Very laid back place, staff were around running food and beers to people, grabbing trash and empties. Will definitely return, I'd suggest anyone looking for a nice beer selection to come check this place out!

My go-to spot when I'm in downtown but notworking. I love to show this place to everyone who hasn't been. It's such a good time with good drinks and great beer selection.

I came here for brunch and bottomless mimosas. Was not expecting much of the food quality since it is a bar, but the food was amazing, as was the service and vibe. This will definitely be my go to breakfast spot from now on. Portions are nice too!

01/19/24 PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE TO THIS BAR!!! IF YOURE PLANNING TO HAVE A GOOD TIME. I would like to start off that I have often been going to this bar for years never had problems with the employees till… This male or female filled tattoos on his or her arms brunette hair wearing glasses trying to impress his or her co-workers having a misbehavior attitude. I only had a few drinks he or she assume I was VERY DRUNK when he or she mention I was “yelling and falling over the place” when I wasn’t. I have many witnesses to prove my point and couple friends asking for drinks for themselves and the bartender rejected them when they had no action towards myself. Another is what I found odd about the bartender decision was he excluded myself and my latino friends to purchase more drinks except my asian friend and assume he had few drinks when we all had same amount order of drinks. The majority of the bartenders were upset of his or her actions and were disturb of his or her decision. Not to mention most of the bartenders were drinking on the job.
