It is small but enough to understand a little more about this musical instrument and its importance in the state. There are many very interesting specimens, as well as photographs.

A museum where it describes how the Marimba instrument was born, the evolution it has had over the years and who were the first teachers to teach the music of said instrument, also those who have come from Japan and other countries especially to learn to play the instrument. Maestro Faustino Velazquez delighted me with several musical pieces on the Marimba, it is the plus that the museum has... ⭐️😉👏💯 On the other hand, Mrs. Verónica Hernández, who is at the museum reception, is a kind person, she makes the visitor interested in visiting the museum, she recommends the surroundings, that you should try and/or eat the traditional things of Chiapas. .. 👏⭐️👌💯 There is no entrance fee, easy access to special people, 👨‍🦼👨‍🦽 there is no parking... The museum is located in front of the Marimba Park... Visit, learn and enjoy the Marimba music that maestro Faustino gives us on every visit...☺️🎶👏🙂😎

Though the lots of marimba types in display are nice, you should come for the marimba guys! They we're great and gave a little private show, and I even got to try play the marimba myself, at least tried to ;) If you in the area of marimba park you should check it, and even try to be at the park at 6pm for the shows in the park

If you go to Tuxtla you can't miss it, the history about the instrument and the different musicians and groups is amazing. It has many types of marimbas from the beginning to the current ones. He recommended that you visit it, it is something about the history of the people of the municipality, of Mexico and of the world that you should not miss knowing Additionally, there is NO COST for entry.

It is a small place, the conferences given there are always entertaining and you can also admire the evolution of this wooden instrument over time...

It's open! I'd read online that the museum was closed but happened to pass by and see the door open. My Spanish is limited, but the guided tour was still very informative and I learned so much about how the instrument has evolved and is constructed. At the end, you are treated to a private performance. This was my favorite experience in Tuxtla.

It is a very interesting museum about the origin and evolution of marimbas until today. They have many examples of marimbas and photos of their main musicians. They also teach classes there. 😄

👍👍 Love this park. So pretty with all the palm trees and greenery. We think it’s the prettiest park in the entire Tuxtla and San Cristóbal area. Also love the ponds - there’s lot of fish to feed and occasionally a few ducks. Very tranquil place. Very clean. Nice vibe.
