Love this bar! Service was great from the moment we arrived to when we eventually left… Even the rain couldn’t dampen the mood! Great margaritas, delicious food and love the wine menu…. Can’t go wrong!

We had an awesome dinner on Saturday night with the chefs tasting menu. Phil the owner is very nice and takes time to make your meal a memorable one. The truffle arancini were a highlight, as well as the steak and lamb ragu. To top it off you had a very thick and tasty chocolate mousse. Thanks for the great dinner!

Spent Valentine’s Day with my beautiful wife of 18 years there. $65 each for 3 exceptional courses was just brilliant! Great food and service with a smile.

My family took me here for father's day lunch, very happy with the food and customer service. I had the roast pork , it was delicious! Recommended!

Nice restaurant to visit when you are in lane cove. Very good modern food, gourmet cocktails and not that expensive. I will highlight that the best we had that night were the starters, both the chicken and cauliflower were amazing!

Fantastic food & wonderful Service. The guys on deck on Tuesday night were very attentive and we really enjoyed our appetizers, mains and dessert! Drinks were on point and we can't wait to visit again!

Four of us enjoyed a lovely evening at Shorties. Front of house staff were friendly and professional, food very good quality and good value. Good to see vegetarian & vegan options. There were some unfamiliar wines too, which we liked and have now ordered for home! Would recommend and will go back.

Pleasant little restaurant & bar. Just moved to the neighbourhood and feel I will probably go here a lot. We shared the ravioli, beef rib and crispy potatoes. All delicious. Cocktails and wine were on point too. Beer selection was a bit mainstream but this is a suburban place, not an inner city hipster joint. Look forward to going back.

We visited for a friend's birthday and the food was fantastic - it was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed cocktails as well.

We love going to Shorties. The food is always exceptionally good - especially the steaks. Most difficult task is deciding what to order! Staff always very friendly and helpful.

We all had the rump capo. The meat was cooked to our liking and all the accompaniments on the plate went well with the meat. Wonderful flavours. We would have like some extra steamed greens with our meal. There wasn’t any on the menu. Mulled wine was amazing. A bit noisy inside as there were many large groups. I will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Super delicious food. I had the gnocchi, which was amazing! I also had a delicious, refreshing cocktail. Really lovely wine bar vibes and great, friendly service.

The ambiance hits you as soon as you walk in the door, perfect lighting and greeting from all staff, they were very friendly, professional and attentive to our needs. Our meals were cooked to perfection and the cocktails were sublime. The only thing I was disappointed in was the very ordinary water that was placed on the table 😕 for the price and elegance of this establishment I thought a nice premium bottled water would of completed the experience (I won't take a star off for that) Highly recommend for everyone to dine here 😃👍

Exceptional food. We ordered the sirloin steak. Immaculate flavours that blend well together. Jason described it as arguably the best steak of his life. Flavour palette reminded us of French cuisine. Cheesecake was delightful with a more lumpy texture than usual and bright flavour. We are definitely coming back

Amazing food and cocktail! We went there for the special bistecca night tho week. The steak was cooked to perfection and the duck fat potato was so crispy on the outside. And the service was really good and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Definitely 5 star experience!

Love Shorties. Been living in Lane Cove for several years and use to go to Shorties with my then girlfriend often. Since then we are married and have a 1 year old daughter. Was treated by my wife to a Father's day dinner... Really good stuff. Highly Recommended!

Fantastic staff who make it feel super homely, warm and welcoming ☺️ we have made a weekly date night routine just to visit this little gem. The cocktails are delectable, well balanced yet tease the senses. It's rare to find a bar that puts as much ingenuity in their food menu as they do in their drinks - this place does! And as a bonus, they have delicious vegan/vegetarian options on the menu! Highly recommend!!!!!

Wow! Incredible food - I’m so glad we found this local gem! The short ribs and gnocchi literally melt in your mouth. The cocktails were also amazing. We will definitely be returning over and over again! EDIT - 2nd visit we returned for the Sunday Roast (we just returned from living in the UK so it was a must to try!) and it was perfect! Including the Yorkshire puddings (which we call yorkies). We took our friends and they loved it too.

Amazing food, mulled wine and cocktails! We've been getting the 3 course cook at home packs weekly to help us get through this latest lockdown and the food has been phenomenal! The manager, Phil, is a legend too!

We have been really enjoying our heat-at-home 3 course meals in this lockdown We look forward to it every weekend. The menu changes weekly. As an added extra, there is a wide range of takeaway cocktails. We were fans of Shorties before lockdown (love the atmosphere) and will be back inside the moment we are allowed. Thanks Phil

Beautiful place hidded in Lane Cove. I passed a really great time with a friend drinking and eating lovely food. I like to go and order small dishes in order to test all the flavours. Love the music and it is in the correct volume to can talk and enjoy the music at the same time.

Small menu but what we had was very tasty and well executed! The poke salad bowl was wholesome and the salmon yuzu apple starter was light and full of flavour. Mains were well sized and the jus for the ribs and steak was really silky and tasty! A wee bit noisy but hey, great to have some noise in restaurants!!!
