My sister and I came here to check it out. I had never been to Nacagdoches before. We both love touring historical and old homes. This is a small village with several houses and places to look through. It shows how they lived back in that era. I absolutely loved finding this place. You can plan a tour with a guide for $20 or be on your own for $10.

This is the best place to volunteer at. They have so much going on. Things are changing like the new Woodwright shop and leather shop. Holiday events and demonstrations in addition to the new Barn available for parties..The staff is amazing and i cant wait for

A wonderful place to visit history. Well maintained and available for private events. Our concert was great and even more so at this venue.

I wish we had gotten here earlier! We had about 75 minutes, which was adequate, but we would have loved to have spent more time. We tried to go into the gift shop to buy some gifts at 4:53, but it was already closed and locked, so if you go, be mindful that they actually close before 5 pm! Otherwise, the facilities are so lovely. My kids (boys ages 1, 6, and 8) thoroughly enjoyed it and were engaged the entire time!

Great place to take a little walk and see some History. There's 3 old houses, a few cabins, a general store and much more. It's free to walk around and they do have guided tours. It was over 100 degrees today , but some of the buildings are air conditioned so we were able to cool down. The grandkids loved it.

My fiancée and I learned about the Historical Scavenger Hunt and wanted to see all the sites. We spent over an hour wondering the grounds and enjoying the sites. There are a number of hands on exhibits and many different types of buildings to visit. It was nice to see how things used to be. Thank you for keeping this open for everyone to enjoy!

This was our first time visiting Nacogdoches, Texas. Step into history when you visit the site. My children really appreciated the self tour. It was a great experience for the entire family.

We rented the reception house years ago when my son was married at the chapel there and we were satisfied with everything. However, 2 weeks ago we were extremely disappointed! The house was filthy!! There were literally cobwebs everywhere! We served food and cake so naturally I wiped off the tables first. The towel was black with grime! I knew the chairs were probably as dirty because that’s where most of the cobwebs were but I didn’t have time to wipe all of the chairs down. They also did not turn the air on for us, and it was hot!!

Self guided tour. Only about half the buildings were open for visits, the rest may only be viewed from the outside /peeking through windows. Staff were very friendly; payments for admission and purchased items were contactless. Jalapeño jelly that we bought at the general store is excellent! Our kids also enjoyed looking at the articles/objects/structures from the bygone years. Great family outing place!

I love the old fashioned charm of this village. Relaxed self tour let's you linger in the areas you like most. And, many of the items are out in the open so you can really see them, without all the formality of display cases.

Wonderful place, I learned so much about local history and people. Staff was more than friendly and very informative. Especially enjoyed their big orange cat.

Great place. Chris works there and is very knowledgeable. We stayed there and talked with Chris for quite a while. If you stop and take the tour, make sure you talk with Chris. Well worth your time.

So much fun. I took the baby for Halloween. She had the greatest time. We went on a hayride, petting zoo, rode a horse, and bouncy castle. There was a headless horseman walking around. The cabins were decorated to walk through. It was so magical.

Wonderful local museum and some buildings have AC! The people there were amazing and kind. We went on a weekday in the morning and were one of only two groups!
