My husband and I had a very delicious lunch here during our honeymoon in Bali. At the beginning, the menu doesn't attract me much. The dishes look very ordinary. After my first bite, I just wanna have more. The crab cake is delicious, and the salad under it is so tasteful. My fish is tender, and so is the chicken in the curry. My drink is good, and the combination of dried jack fruit and basil leave is just amazing and wonderful. The spices in Bali are excellent. So strong and flavorful. I love the food. And the service is good. They change our utensils after every dish. I feel like having a fine dining. LOVE the place. Thank you.

Not probably, by far the best food experience we had in Ubud. We stopped here after completing the Campuhan Ridge Walk right on time for lunch. For starter we had the crispy chicken with the Indonesian salad and spicy & sweet sauce, taste to perfection. The flavors came together so nicely, speechless. For main dish I had the fish with nuts and pesto. The dish in the menu sounds pretty simple, like nothing would stand out but honestly I have never tried a better dish than this in my life. To finish off well, I took the one and only, extremely refreshing passion fruit dessert. I highly recommend it, is not too sweet, not too sour, really really really good. If I would live in Ubud I would most probably go there every day. I am not sure how they are managing to combine flavors so well, but way to go guys. The staff is really friendly, always asking if everything is okay with the food and if we are enjoying it, really high class service.

While higher priced than many of the warungs that line the streets of Ubud, Spice provides some casual fine dining with well prepared courses and dishes at a good value for what you get. We ordered both the signature and popular set course menus and were very happy with the offerings. The food was a good fusion of local indonesian ingredients and flavors to more international dishes. We also mentioned that we were there for our honeymoon and received a free desert and round og champagne which was very appreciated. Service was top notch and all the servers were very knowledgeable of the restaurant's offerings.

Excellent, excellent food at Spice! Honestly, THE best food I’ve had in Bali, thus far. By a LONG shot. Prices are on the higher end, but if you’re from the US, prices are pretty reasonable. FYI, a 4-course set menu is ~$15USD. Fish atop the curry was perfectly crispy and moist. The salad had a good kick to it, without being overwhelmingly spicy. The staff was well trained and knowledgeable. Would definitelyyyy return, when in the area again!

This restaurant is a must go to when you are in Ubud. Firstly the staff are super friendly, very attentive, the place is clean and has a very nice vibe. The prices of the food and drinks are very affordable. What will eventually leave a lasting memory of this place is the food. The food is very delicious. We ordered two different entrees, two different mains and one dessert. Not one piece food or crumb was left on any plate. What I loved most were the spiced fruit with the dishes which I believe included mangoes and guava to complement the flavour of the main dish. I loved it. I would recommend for anyone visiting Ubud to come and eat at this restaurant.

We are here 3 times in 3 days. We had the pork belly, pork ribs, tempura crab laksa, beef sliders, lamb rump, and the beef brisket. All delicious, but our favorites were the pork ribs and lamb rump. Great service but not a lot of seating - go early for dinner or book ahead. We'll be back the next time we are in Ubud! Not sure why other reviews complain about the prices - they are comparable to other casual eateries in the area. Maybe other reviewers are confusing with Mozaic?

When arriving at the location I didn’t expect the food to be this good. Service was great, people are very friendly and the food was excellent. The combinations are great and everything is well balanced. If your in Ubud I can highly recommend going here!

We ordered the, tempura crab, the chicken curry, the beef rendang and the apple pie. Everything was amazing. The chicken was maybe the best chicken I've ever had and the beef rendeng melts in your mouth! Its a tad more expensive compared to other restaurants in Bali (€40 for what we ordered + drinks) but the quality makes it more undoubtedly worth it!

I had the lobster with the tempe topping which was quite disappointing, very little lobster, lots of frisee and the tempe had also not much flavour. We had the crab cake, barramundi and the noodles with the roasted pork ribs which where delicious. Mocktails are nice but way too small of a portion. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, atmosphere is casual. Value for money; perhaps more in the pricier side but quality doesn’t come cheap in the restaurant business

Amazing restraunt! Delicious food, wonderful service, and drinks unlike anywhere else! Their mojito is possibly my new favorite cocktail ever, I ordered way too many for sure. If you are in Ubud I cannot recommend Spice highly enough!

Overhyped, food wasn't thaaat good.

One of my favorite meals I've had in 2+ months of traveling. Not only was the entire wait staff incredible nice going over every single detail of each of the four courses, but the food looked incredible and tasted even better. I would have expected to pay 5x the cost back home in San Francisco, but instead it was a bargain. I cannot recommend this place enough! Be sure to get the coconut pudding + cookie fingers dessert. I didn't think I would have room for it, but I almost ordered an extra when I finished... So tasty.

Was very excited to try this considering all the great reviews and hype. Food was so disappointing and one of the worst (yet one of the more expensive) we've gone to in Bali. The root fries were really hard and curry very bland. Also, the waiter was trying to clear our friend's plate from under her, while she was still clearly eating!

Staff were lovely however found the food a bit lacklustre for the price, one of more expensive meals while here in Bali. If I got the chance would like to go again and order one of the set menus but were a little strapped for time.

A true gem just a short walk from Ubud palace. I tried the Ubud jungle cocktail paired with the Bangkuang dumplings and Pork belly turmeric. My wife had the fish curry (barramundi). While our entrees were delicious, I was left speechless by the spiced pineapple cake. Our server, Kadek Indah, was also lovely. She powered through a short power outage and issues with the POS system with a great sense of calm and hospitality.

Excellent food (but in small quantity) the environment is nice and the stuff very kind. Don't forget to eat the apple dessert 🍰🍎😜

I wanted to vote this restaurant 1 star long time ago for our worst experience in Bali. Me and my mom went in, right after a white westerner couple. Guess what? The waiter only held the door for the white people. He greeted them and introduced them to their table. We were left standing at the door with no one. Eventually we found a table by ourselves and sat down ready to order. Many waiters was standing there glanced at us quickly and pretended we didn’t exist, while 2 waiters were “taking care of” the white couple. I’d like mention that we dressed nicely as we know this is a nice restaurant, we didn’t do anything inappropriately or being annoying. We are simply just Asian. Being racist in a land of another asian country. What an irony. My mom eventually was mad because no one came around, we left and found another great restaurant nearby. If you see this review. There are many other great and not overpriced restaurants around the street. You don’t have to stop at this one and being discriminated by having something they don’t like.

I wish one day Chef Salans will establish a fine dining restaurant in Perth Western Australia. We are craving for excellent fine dining experience. Please come to Perth 🙏
