This amazing vegan eatery in Canggu easily deserves a 5-star! Everything on their menu is delicious (Favourites include Raw Cannelloni, Beetroot Ravioli and Vegan Avocado Toast). Not forgetting to mention they serve awesome coffee with homemade plant-based milk options (cashew & oat) for free! The ambience here also makes you want to linger all day. Definitely can’t miss this place when you’re in Bali! 🤩

Came at a time where we were the only one there. I ordered a food and a dessert crepes. My company ordered a dessert crepes. I received both my crepes at the same time (would expect the food first and the dessert after I'm done with the first). I got the complete for main dinner, I would not call it crepes as that is usually crunchy at the edge. This was totally soft ( thin pancake), and didn't taste of much. The dessert crepes was also very soft, no crunch to it and bland crepes, the chocolate on top did taste good though. All in all a very underwhelming experience.

Take off your shoes and relax on pillows while feasting on the most amazing crepes! We struck up a conversation with another patron who was there for her second day in a row. The crepes have fresh fruits, chocolate, nuts and are divine. Perfect mid-day snack when you’re strolling around Ubud.

What a delicious place to eat! If you are in Ubud and are craving crepes this is definitely the best place to eat! There are plenty of options both sweet and savory and it is a really nice place too!

Such a cute little cafe! They have plenty of vegan options and even Paleo-friendly options. There is a vegan lunch set consisting of a savoury crepe + a sweet crepe + fruit juice for 110.000rp. It was really delicious and I can 100% recommend it!

Went here after a morning run with my partner. My partner was delighted that they offered us free water, he said this is what a good restaurant should do, like in the states/other western countries lol. We enjoyed our drinks, he liked his blueberry muffin, but I was so-so with the banana bread, just nothing special about it.

Absolutely amazing ✨ were not even vegan, but with food like this - it sure would be easy to become vegan. Flavors perfectly balaced, the menu is full of different types of meals so anyone can find something. Atmosphere is beautiful and tidy. Cant wait to come back! 💕🙏🏻

What a lovely place. We tried everything you can read in our bill and it was good, fresh and tasty. It is in a nice part of Bali and the interior of this cafe restaurant is inspiring, cool and cozy. Highly recommended to those seeking for vegan options but it can cater to everyone’s choice in my opinion.

Edible food, although tasteless, and amateur staff makes for a lackluster experience. food was tasteless and needed seasoning, unfortunately salt and pepper did not help much. Vegan/vegetarian food here also did not taste of much unfortunately. Although we were only the second table, service was painfully slow (40 minutes for 2 crepes) because they ran out of butane gas, took them a while to set it up while gigging and joking around, maybe have fun if your customers are not waiting for food?? Needs more professional attitude, in the middle of my service i asked for a drink and the waitress just looked me in the eye and decided to ignore me and start chatting with her friend. 2 Stars because the food is edible and did not make us sick.

I got the amazing-looking smoothie bowl but it looked 100x better than it tasted unfortunately. However, the service and vibe were great. The staff seemed to enjoy working there and the menu was very creative.

We ordered the crepes and a couple of Kingdom of Avalon bowls. You have to appreciate their spin on the smoothie bowl. Recommend that you order the Rise and Shine combo as you'll get a better deal on the combination of juice, coffee and either crepes or one of two smoothie bowl selections. The staff was incredibly friendly and hard working. Don't hesitate to tip them. Our server not only took our order but also was assisting the cook with food prep. You'll feel good after coming here.

The staff is very kind and available to accommodate requests. There are many vegan (so also dairy free) and gluten free options available! The crepe was really good 😊👍

A very cute spot a few steps away from the busy main roads of Ubud, which I love for less noise and pollution. This spot offers quite a wide range of regular, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. You can have a savoury or sweet crepe, adding any extra toppings as you like! I really appreciated the Gluten Free options as that can be really hard especially for something like a crepe. So I was just thrilled to get to have a vegan GF crepe (I had the Rhiannon). I would say it could have been more flavourful, needing some spices or perhaps salt and pepper (however that could just be my tastebuds). I wasn’t blown away, yet it was good enough that I would return to try some other items. They also give you a little paper heart to write a wish in and hang in their wishing tree, which was a nice touch:) (see photo) As an Ubudian (someone who lives here) I’d recommend giving this place a shot for breakfast or lunch.

This restaurant is by far the best restaurant in Canggu, and I've tried pretty much all of them in my almost two decades of visiting this island. Coming from a family that has a history of 3 generations of culinary cooks and food tasting conosours, to say the least that I'm a very strict critic when it comes to food and reviews. This is my first 5 star review in over 3 years here on google, and Manggis has earned it. The service was super friendly and they went above and beyond in making sure I was taken care of and comfortable. The food not only looks amazing but tastes amazing. I've eaten at 5 star resorts that cater with the best professional chefs in western europe, and the dish I had (Katsu Curry) is one that almost had me on the floor when I tasted it. My partner had the (House Salad Bowl) and if that Salad was able to provide for a family of 4 then I'm almost certain she would have left me for it. Stop reading this. Open up your google maps, type in Manggis in Canggu, and go. Every minute that you're reading this review and trying to figure out if this place is worth going to, is another moment that you're missing out on everything and anything Bali has to offer for your tastebuds.

I love the vibes and everything about this restaurant. A perfect (and less touristy) brunch place in Canggu Berawa! Located next to soccer field, the restaurant had great air circulations and outdoor seatings. They served great selections of plant-based foods with reasonable prices (extra 20% discount using the Manggis' Instagram filters - creative way to do marketing!). I had the pancake and avocado toast - great taste. I'll definitely come back!

wow ! ! ! 🔥 Manggis is one of me favourite places in Canggu. Not only is the staff the best, no.. they also make you feel like part of the family. Your visit at Manggis - be it breakfast, lunch or dinner - comes with a 111% Satisfaction + Happiness Garanty. 🙏🏼✨ Highly recommend their vegan croissants 🤤 and don't even get me started on their pasta-weekend special 😵

An absolutely amazing place. Firstly, the food is outstanding — jackfruit sliders, tofu scramble, pancakes, meatball pasta, ramen, nachos, croissants, the list goes on... The service and general vibe is also fantastic and the prices are better than other similar (and in my opinion, not as good) places. Keep up the good work 💚

Really went to town in this original themed creperie. The hot chocolate drink with orange blossom and chocolate ice cream was quite nice, although lacking in any orange flavour. The cheese and ham crepe was also tasty enough. But "The Secret" crepe with salted caramel, caramelised apple, walnuts and coconut cream (plus I added extra chocolate sauce) was sensational. If you're upstairs, which I recommend if you prefer to sit at tables instead of on the floor downstairs, you are given a little bell to ring for service. Very Downton Abbey. The menu is like something out of heaven! So creative. Just reading it makes me happy! I have never seen coffee with salted caramel sauce for example. The wish tree is a thoughtful touch too. There are little paper wish hearts from all over the world.

One with vegan chocolate sauce, banana, almond, grated coconut and another with peanut butter cream, banana, mango, cashews and fruit compote, both topped with ice cream. Portion sizes are decent and flavour combinations good. Quality vs. price, it's reasonable. Recommended!

When we got there it wasn't busy. So we assumed we would have our orders relatively quick. Unfortunately we had to wait over 45 minutes to get our pancakes (and as far as I know, pancakes take aa couple minutes to cook). When we finally got our pancakes they were cold. After asking for new ones we only had the option they would be reheated. Since we still wanted the pancakes we chose to let them be reheated. That also took about 10-15 minutes. When we got our pancakes for the second time, they were folded and messy. The taste was okay but the service was just bad. When I payed on the way out the cashier gave me (I still think on purpose) not enough change. Held back 10k. And when I said that it wasn't enough change you could tell she was acting like she didn't knew. All in all, would never go there again.

Good crepes. Sweet and savory available and also palettes. Good coffee also. Prices reasonable about 25,000 for a basic crepe

  • 4/5 Deea J. 5 years ago on Google
Cute and cozy place to enjoy a crepe either sweet or salty. The menu in vaste and the service was good and fast. We had 2 vegan chocolate crepes and thet were good and nice looking also. I give the place 4 stars as a good review, but not excelent. Why? Because the taste was noy WOW, the vegan chocolate filling was too little and the coconut whipped cream was also very very little (but tasty). I think that for a crepe in a plate (not to go) there should be a little more ingredients to make the whole experience a memorable one, as people are looking for treats and joys. 😁

Place is cosy but the pancakes are nothing special. I was also confused with toppings and just had sugar on it, though I thought banana and dragon fruits are included. But that was the price per the topping. So a whole pancake was destroyed by sugar on it. Cause I though they use it to cook it. Also tried tea, nothing special. Place is a good atmosphere though

I love crepes, ordered two different variations, both left me wondering why is so tasteless. Maybe my judgment was affected by the awfully bed herbal tea, it was like hot water from the sink. If you don’t know how to prepare tea, don’t offer it. The apple juice was ok. I feel sorry for the bad review but also feel sorry for waisting my money and time on this place.

Such a nice and cosy place for a coffee and food. The galette was amazing. I was able to charge my phone etc. and peacefully work for some hours. Please just be aware that you sit on the floor. Overall I had a great half day at the spell creperie! Especially because of my waiter Ayu! She was incredible to talk to and a really kind person who also did an amazing job.

The food is amazing. The staff was very friendly and nice. On the top of this, the restaurant follows very good ethics avoiding palm oil products, plastics etc.

Got a Crepe last night after looking at how good the pictures were, the crepe cost IDR46k and only had around a spoon of nutella on it and no other toppings as shown in the picture, please be aware before buying that you do not get what is in the write up on the menu. It is really over priced for what u get… other than that the crepe was cooked well but definitely not worth it.

The most expensive places to have a crep! That’s way is always empty. It costed us almost 100k for 2 Nutella crepes. Just down the street you can find an amazing Creperie with local jams for just 22K each same size and you can also choose between 2 toppings.

As a real crepe amateur I was very excited about coming to the Spell. But my enthousiasm fell down quite quickly. The crepe or I should say the shoe sole was a hard OK with very little flavour. The service was NOT OK. Finally, to top up your crepe they charge you an incredible 15%. THANK YOU, I'll not come back to the WORST creperie in Ubud, most probably Bali and even Indonesia (maybe).

A lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. The crepes are a welcomed and unique option in Ubud. I love that there are many vegan options- it made it hard to choose! I had the Golden ring with vegan lemon curd and it was very flavorful. I hope to come back to try more :)

First time in The Spell Creperie and really enjoyed it! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food, perfect for breakfast and brunch. The service we received was also nice and we will definitely be back again if ever back in Ubud.
