Came here with very lil expectations as the previous encounter with local food was quiet bad and replisive. How ever heard about this place through some online searching and reviews. Heard it was close to it's authentic taste. How ever the place managed to impress us with both the aspects of good food experience. 1. Good food , local spring rolls , rindang and surprisingly even the burger all of them were good and nothing failed to impress. The apple pie was lovely and nothing was over powering in the dessert .Loved the food. The fresh coconut water was a good touch. Over all a lil toward pricey side but worth the experience. 2. Ambience, the view from the restaurant into the valley was absolutely indulging and incredible. The place had lots of seating options in different floors and very active staff. Over all, Murni's warung had impressed in all ways and made the experience quiet good, with it. Halal options available. Must try spot in Ubud ,Bali as of 2022.

A Balinese restaurant that is worth visiting. We went there for an early dinner at 5:30pm. We could pick and choose table since the crowd was not there yet. We ordered Nasi Campur (IDR 50K), Bebek Betut (IDR 90K), Beef Rendang (IDR65K - we requested for no rice) and Sata Lilit (IDR 35K for 6 sticks). To be frank, we over ordered but we finished all the food as it was so delicious that we just could not resist it. A trip to Ubud will not be complete without such yummy food. Thumbs up.

An old favourite with a nice setting and relaxed atmosphere on the gorge and river. The menu is quite extensive and the food is very good quality, well cooked Indonesian fair, really nice and very well priced.

Everything is great. My family visit this place even back when I was a baby. Nice food. (normally portioned). Using local materials and animals. Those village chicken or duck. I love this place. Is a classic can't go wrong type of restaurant

A historical Ubud establishment where food is prepared fresh and slowly. The shaded riverside location offers a cool ambiance even on hot days. This beautiful restaurant, together with its seasoned, experienced servers, has withstood the test of time, consistently delivering great food.

Been here many times, but I never make review about it because I always forget take pictures. But not this time. This time I had Ayam Betutu, Lumpia, Sate Lilit, and Apple Pie. The chicken in Ayam Betutu is soft and tender. The herbs have been marinated well. Combined with yellow aromatic rice. I cannot describe further, how can you describe food taste so well beyond YUMMY? Make sure you order sate lilit, I ordered 6 of that. The apple pie, this was the first time I ordered the pie. It was amazing. The sourness of apple in this pie blend very well with vanilla ice cream. The perfect dessert.

Great place and amazing service. Staff is really friendly and very much impressed with their authentic way of draping sarong. Very neatly draped. They have kept the true authentic feel of bali with its interiors. Food is amazing and reasonably price. Beef randang is a must try.

This is definitely worth a visit if you're up for a lovely meal that is off a beautiful vista and very reasonably priced ($5 for Aussies!). They have 3 levels with a valley view, good wifi, and (this is worth noting!) great toilets. There is also an adjoining shop that has finer items and jewelry undercover that you should take your time to peruse and perhaps make an offer. Give it a go!

My family and I were looking for authentic Balinese food experience. This restaurant 100% delivered Fusion of Balinese and Indonesian . Great food services, awesome authentic fusion flavours and relaxing ambience For sure, my new spot for local food One negative comment: the restaurant should have local sweets. Every thing they offer were western

If I can give 7 stars, this is it. If I can only pick 1 restaurant in Ubud, this is it. Amazing food and good service, the menu shows how serious this owner cares about their food and customers. It details everything you need to know about the dish, in both Indonesian and plain English. The menu includes classic Balinese and popular Westerns considering this is a tourist town with lots of Caucasians. The most impressive order was the pork belly, while the skin is still crispy and crunchy, the rest simply melts in your mouth, such a succulent meal! Warning that this might shock some people who cannot take fat, unlike usual 5:5 pork belly, it's 1:9 lean meat and fat, this ain't for fainted hearts. The serving portion is just perfect as each piece is generous in size, to have more than 4 or 5pcs might sicken/upsetting your tummy. Sate lilit, Murni fish & Bakso ayam are also very delicious and I won't hesitate to recommend these to anyone. I've been eating food from the street stalls, morning local market food and other restaurants, though admitting that street stalls still surprise me each time, I still think this is a fairly priced restaurant for the sake of their food quality, it definitely puts some "popular" restaurants sit in the Ubud central area to shame. A must in Ubud!

Love the drinks and dessert, especially the cendol (best in Bali so far for me). For me food is good but not so special. If you do not like hot and strong food, it's a right place to eat. If you like authentic taste with strong spices, probably this place is not gonna satisfy you. Service is good. Place is pretty peaceful

I wanted to experience this popular place today, especially since I was craving local food. The fact that it was raining added a special beauty to the ambiance. I ordered two different dishes to experience different tastes and they were both very nice. If you want to experience local food, I definitely recommend this place. The interior ambiance is also very stylish and transportation to this place is very easy.

Great variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The vegetarian gado-gado was surprisingly good (even though I don't like peanut sauce on anything). The chicken curry was very flavourful. The only downside - it was more like soup instead of curry and not enough rice to curry/soup ratio. Nasi Goreng (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian) dish were delicious. The meat one came with chicken satay and three dipping sauce. Prices were reasonable and all seats were filled.

We have been for dinner and we selected the spare ribs and nasi ayam. Finally we have taken also desserts as pecan nut cake and banana crepe. What we selected is all fully recommendable and tasty. The spare ribs are so soft you don't need a knife. If you have no reservation in the evening than take a little time for waiting it is worth.

Lovely restaurant in a dramatic green setting with the rivet cascading by. Delicious home made peanut and ginger crackers. Their Balinese Duck is rightly famous. I can also highly recommend the banana and cinnamon crepes.

We came here looking for some local Balinese cuisine and we certainly found it. The place has a nice view onto a small valley and river below. It's also connected to a fun shop. The ladies working here are very nice. We both really enjoyed the nasi campur. There was such a variety and the sambal was nice and spicy. The different veggies and tempeh and tofu were delicious. Everything together was a great combination. I would definitely get this again! Tipat Cantok - It was very fun to try this local dish. It was a mixture of vegetables with tofu and tempe in a peanut sauce. The peanut sauce was rich and pretty sweet. It was a large portion and kind of difficult to finish. The addition of the cracker added a nice texture, but I'm not sure I'd order it again. We will be back to try more dishes!

Local food restaurant, I went here for lunch with my family, all the local food were really delicious and worth the try. If you're looking for great food with green looking view, clean places and also not too crowded this is the right place. I had bebek betutu (duck baliness food) really good and not too spicy. (I don't like spicy food) My kid had Beef Rendang, this food got appreciation award from CNN which is really good and different from any rendang I have ever had. Your really must try if you're at this resto. Some other food is nasi campur, this is good too, it's boneless fried chicken, which some vegetables and super complete & complex. The last ayam bakar (roasted chicken) it tatse decent but still good. The best part was the sambal matah my wife likes it so much... suited for sambal lovers... Overall it's a good and recommended local restaurant.

Great food, friendly service, good location. Away from the noise, head to the lower level if you want to experience the river and its sounds. Why 4 stars? I feel the portions are pretty small and the people from the shop are not very welcoming...

Murni’s cousine will be a great memory of our holidays in Indonesia. There is a wide choice of traditional dishes, with high-quality ingredients. A special mention is due to the home made cakes. Despite being close to the main street, the location is stunning as you feel deep immersed in the nature. Professional service and reasonable prices makes it a very good option for a pleasant dinner in Ubud.

Great warung. But being in touristy Ubud it's a tiny bit more expensive than other local warungs. It is worth it though. The food is great, so I had to come back. The portions are generous as well. I felt sated. Furthermore I was able to order just the dessert of the Christmas menu which was nice.

We came here after from Ayung Dewata Rafting. After around 2 hours of adrenalin and physical activity. It was really nice to sit down and enjoyed amazing scenery while indulging in one of the authentic and tasty Bali's culinary. It was presented beautiful yet taste great to your tongue. The parking lot was full, but there was a tip from a local to park near a hotel not far from there. You could go down to a public parking area for hiking. We ordered Bebek Betutu, Nasi Goreng, and Nasi Campur. Nothing was left behind :).

6 of us went for a dinner to experience the local Balinese food . Overall experience was mixed Firstly the food took a long time to come . Some of the food that came was cold by the time it arrived on the table. The place has a nice view of the river flowing below and the staff is courteous .

Very tasty and well priced Indonesian food. Best nasi campur I've had so far! The views over campuhan river valley are very relaxing and make you forget you're on a busy road. Good mix of refreshing drinks, traditional food and more Western food for all tastes and preferences.

We were here two times with 4 adults(good mix of European and Asian) and 1 infant. We enjoyed the vegetarian nasi campur, gado gado, banana cake with caramel glazing, etc. staffs were friendly. One of my favourite restaurant in Ubud. Quite a few low star review and don’t understand why 😅 we will come back for sure and even did a Gojek delivery 😄

Ordered the duck, it was so soft and tatsy. Went at night, the feel of the wall of jungle was a great asset. The advertised beef rated from CNN seemed over rated though. There traditional sati chicken on a skewer was good with the sauce. There are 2 versions, I got the one "lite" one. Good Price

First rate menu in a stunning romantic setting. Beautiful decor of Balinese art and antiques. Murni the owner is always there for a good part of the day. She founded the restaurant in 1974 making it the oldest restaurant in Ubud in the days when there was no electricity. The food and service are excellent. Bakso Ayam, Tipat Cantok and the Rendang are authentic and outstanding. Very reasonable prices and all Covid precautions followed. Highly recommended and I will certainly be back often.
