Beautiful place. Wonderful platter. Nice crispy duck. The house cocktail was terrible. Person serving us would put his finger in his ear, then proceed to set the table cutlery. We ordered too much and when asked for package, they did a good job. Take note of the performances on particular nights which can be enjoyed while dining.

This is a true tourist place, and if it's your 1st time here & in Bali, everything will be awesome. The food is not too bad, but there's a lot of room for improvement. The ambience is nice, though, and the restaurant area is huge. This place used to be packed worth tour buses, but since the pandemic, things have changed. For me, it's a 'One-Time-Only' experience. Ordered the rice set for 2 persons, and there were a few repeat dishes in the platter. Price was almost 500k, including the surprising 21% service charge! Watch our for that. Location is also not in the main town area, so you need to take a taxi or GoJek there.

Nice and secluded restaurant close to Ubud Monkey Forest. Spacious outdoor seating overlooking the paddy field. Great crispy duck with a lot of assortments. It's much better than its competitors. There used to be a dance performance almost every day during dinnertime. I hope the situation will recover soon.

Outside the restaurant there were a lot of monkeys outside, be careful with your belonging. The place was huge, but not too crowded due to COVID. You could choose whether to sit in a chair or just sit with a sitting pillow. There were also areas where you could see huge trees, gardens, or rice fields. The duck was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. To complement it, they will also serve you with 3 types of sambal (chili paste) that goes very well with a warm rice. The shrimp cooked in curry was also delicious. The broth was not too thick but you could clearly taste the flavor.

A lovely restaurant which is uniquely located as a "hideaway". Pretty expansive as well with many tables available. The staff is experienced and courteous too. One minus point is that they don't have any AC rooms, so it could get uncomfortable during warm afternoons. We enjoyed the food here. The crispy duck (priced at R. 135k) is a must have. The different spices add a lot of flavour too.

the place located at the back of monkey forest and the atmosphere is homey with the paddy field. The flagship menu is the crispy duck. True to the name its crunchy and very crisp and sambal to accompany. For me, definitely love the drink consisting of ginger, lemongrass and lemon.

The atmosphere with semi-outdoor dining, rice fields in the backyard, shady trees, fish ponds, Balinese statues and carvings, makes dining at Laka Leke make the food even more delicious.

Had the best experience doing an Indonesian cooking class here (vegetarian) with some friends. We made so many dishes and had such fun learning about the ingredients and cooking together in such a beautiful environment! I can't wait to recreate this food at home for my family and friends. Can't recommend enough for 350,000Rp - best experience I have had during my travels in Bali!!

Experience dining in canopy, either sitting on platforms on chairs. The fried crispy duck was so good! It was crispy but not oily. My family loved the other dishes too. The toilets needs better maintenance.

This is a good alternative from “Bebek Tepi Sawah” Let me give a bit of review on the 3 things 1) Ambience (4/5) The place was great, full of many padi fields and outdoor air breeze is very refreshing. We sat at one of the “lesehan” seats, while sipping our coconut juice and orange juice. 2) Food (3.5/5) I personally think that the crispy duck are fried well, I think it can be less oily and bit crispier when it comes to the skin. I also think that they should provide a punchier condiment on the side, the sambah matah wasnt as tasty / spicy as I’d normally used to - comparing it to the balinese sambal like those in dobiel 3) Service (4.5/5) People are nice and helpful here, the waiter are able to pleasantly converse and have a s jokes with us, overall you will get those warm balinese services

Didn't expect the ambience of this restaurant to be that nice. We were walking along this road and was sweating like crazy plus we were so hungry. The other restaurants didn't have the food that were appetizing to us, so we kind of like taking a bet coming into this restaurant. Turn out it was the best decision. The restaurant has Balinese architecture and it has separate seating places throughout its compound. The staff are super friendly and the food has great taste. Had nasi campur and the taste is good!

When we’re in Bali, we usually go to Bebek Pinggir Sawah for a hearty, delicious deep fried duck. This time, our relatives took us to Laka Leke Restaurant. Well to be honest, it was 5 years ago we went to Bali and we kinda forgot how’s the Bebek Pinggir Sawah tasted like but we like the deep fried duck at Lake Leke. It’s not oily at all and very crispy. For people who has never tried Balinese deep fried duck, yes, it’s super crispy bordering dry, but that’s how Indonesians like it. Recommended!!!

The food is average,.. The fact that is facing rice field, I cant deny, I like it. If you come for the view, chilling out, is fine. Ooops,.. please pay attention with the monkeys, coz the location is behind Monkey forest Ubud, sort of.

Beautiful restaurant, soothing ambience in the midst of traditional Balinese rice fields, zen fish pools and lotus ponds. True to its name its hidden away, they have traditional live performances and such on alternate days. Option of dining in traditional Balinese style low set tables, food was good, you can definitely find better tasting fare for similar prices around the restaurant itself. Service was quick but not very hospitable. Would definitely recommend for ambience. P.S. place is open so there are plenty of mosquitoes and lizards, be advised to carry sprays.

Went there during lunch when it wasn't too busy, tucked away behind monkey forest and offers peaceful and tranquil ride field setting. Can definitely see this as a nice choice and a busy spot for dinner as they have Balinese dance performance. We tried Bebek goreng and it was delicious. Crispy, crunchy, big portion of meat with lots of flavours and perfectly balanced with the sauces. Great service by the team and a good warm place for food, cooking class and dance performance.

Coming in as part of organized luncheon. This one of the place to go if you are coming in groups. The area is very leafy and quite perfect for a resting moment after day discovering Ubud. Good crispy duck is a must try.

Contrary to the saying that there is nothing to eat at the famous feast, LakaLeke Restaurant mentions Nasi Campur as a signature dish in the menu description. So I ordered mango avocado salad and nasi Campur. And watermelon juice is included. Although some of the food I order is delicious and some are far from the same, LacaLeke here serves novel and delicious food even to me, who has the taste buds of an elementary school student. First of all, it is easy to associate mango avocado salad with sweetness, but the sour dressing sauce and lettuce combine to create a truly delicious salad with sweet mango and fresh avocado. Oh, and I highly recommend Nasi Campur. Rather than explaining the taste at length, it is like a buffet where five or six dishes of various flavors are served on a round plate with rice. Highly recommended.

The ambiance in this cafe is top notch. You have a beautiful view of the rice field while enjoying your food. The food is cheap and good. The nasi goreng and the bebek goreng (fried duck) are awesome. I ordered a cafe latte, but I found it to be a little bit disappointing so I do not recommend it. They don't froth the milk and just mix it in the coffee; kinda like the coffee you make at home. Maybe order a Balinese coffee if you really want to have a cup of joe. Service was slow, so was the WiFi. As with the staff, they are kind and polite. The lady who served us was very attentive and always approached us with a smile.

The Crispy Fried Bebek and the Grilled Snapper at Laka Leke was one of the highlights in my recent Bali trip. The duck was fried to a nice golden crisp on the outside and succulent and fragrant on the inside. The snapper was fresh and grilled to a nice texture, and served with a gravy that was both appetising and flavourful. The staff were also very polite and friendly. We had a wonderful evening enjoying our dinner with the golden hue of the sunset over the peaceful padi fields in the background. It was worth the journey from our hotel to the restaurant.

A hidden gem. It’s a beautiful big restaurant with rice fields on the side. The staff is wonderful and polite! One of the best meals we had in Ubud. We ordered the stuffed squid - divine!!!! Chicken curry- perfect! Highly recommend!

Came here to have a nice group dinner and watch the show. The place itself is amazing, full of nice little gardens with ponds and original styled architecture. Once we ordered the show began which was a great distraction from waiting. The show was brilliant, it was a little hard to follow at first but once the staff gave us a slip of paper with what the demonstration was about it made a lot more sense. The food was absolutely amazing I ordered the seafood mixed grill which was huge and at a great price. My girlfriend ordered the lamb chop which again was amazing, especially the garlic mash. I ordered the chocolate mousse for a desert. It was very rich with a thick ganache like texture, but overall quite refreshing to eat and was a nice addition the the meal. The toilets I also found to be fascinating as they had ponds in them that were full of fish. Would deffinately recommend this place to anyone who wishes to watch a traditional Balinese show and have some amazing food!

Lovely hospitality! The food and drinks are great, fair price, ambience are great. I went there when the paddy field is in best season, greeny and started to turn goldy. The weather is kinda hot when I arrived there (12 PM), the waitress saw us sweating and quickly turning on the fan, though we're still feelin a bit hot but we appreciate the kind gesture. Maybe you guys can visit this resto when it's raining season or avoid 11AM-2PM so the sun is not smokin hot. Recommended restaurant to go when you're in Bali!

Huge garden restaurant with some semi-indoor areas. Their crispy duck is their all time fave. Give their nasi campur a try also. Won't disappoint. Price is good, comparable to other restaurants in Ubud area.

Perhaps the best meal in Ubud. Honestly, as a family of four we sat at the "knelt down" tables in the late evening with beautiful lighting set in amazing grounds, away from the busy roads. The location alone was enough to justify a good review but the food was incredible. I'm so impressed. I've reviewed a lot of restaurants on Google in my time, and this is one of my all time favourites.

It’s a balinese authentic restaurant with bali natural ambience. Their specialty is crispy duck which costs 140k and LGH tea (looks like herbs tea). For the best dine in experience, take the ‘lesehan’ seat at the back and feel the breeze and the ricefield view.

  • 5/5 Thomas C. 11 months ago on Google
Delicious crispy duck in a lovely restaurant. I went quite early so there wasn't much of an atmosphere but I could see how that would change once it filled up. Only thing I will say is there is a 21% tax added to the price of your meal when paying.

Amazing restaurant almost all the way in the back of the street near monkey forest. The service is great as well as the food. The atmosphere is amazing. During the day you look over rice fields and they have an amazing garden out of which they also get a lot of fresh ingredients. We ate here 2 times and a 3rd time we got to eat the food we made ourselves as we did a cooking class. Since no one else applied we had a personal class. Again super friendly service and well worth the money. I can recommend all to take it. You also get a booklet with the ingredients and recipe in which you can take notes yourself. All in all I place I can highly recommend. Price of the food is also good.

The food here is delicious. I was recommended this place by a friend. The crispy duck is outstanding and the typical Bali food is delicious too. The meal is simple and yummy. They also organise cooking classes. The restaurant is huge and faces the rice fields. It’s beautiful, calm and you can enjoy the whole view with mouthwatering food. I actually was so involved in the food that didn’t end up taking any pictures of the food.
