Can't believe we've slept on this for so long. We've been wanting to come here for a while now, but only got to do so now. We enjoyed it very much. Everything we had was delicious, there's a lot if things going on in terms of flavors, but all the dishes were well balanced. Should have come here sooner.

What an absolutely terrible restaurant. A group had dinner there last night with a disgustingly rude chef/owner. We had ordered in advance informing Monica that one of our party has severe nuts allergies and we didn’t eat chicken. One of the dishes (which we specifically asked about) had nuts in it causing one of us to have to rush home to to get medication. When asked about this the chef/owner first said he didn’t know who Monica was (turns out it’s his wife and co-owner) and hadn’t heard about the just allergies. When we showed him the correspondence with Monica about the booking, pre ordering all the food detailing the allergies and dietary requirements he said he hadn’t heard anything about the this and quote ‘didn’t care about allergies’. The next course to come out was chicken, which we specifically requested we didn’t want. Some of the party left out of disgust, others stayed; over the course of the next hour as we observed the chef/owner we noticed he drank 3 beers and shouted at his Balinese chefs to do everything. As we went to pay we asked the chef/owner again about the nuts in the food and why he hadn't apologised for his mistake. He said that although he had been informed of the requests/allergies by Monica before tonight at the time of preparing the food (getting other to prepare the food that is) he had forgotten and therefore didn’t see why he should apologise. I asked him how he can consider himself a chef/owner and he said ‘man just pay and get out of my restaurant, I have bookings every night I don’t care about you’. In case you’re reading this and wondering how the food actually is: for that price you can and we have eaten much better food elsewhere in Ubud.

Ah-may-zing! A brilliant experience of a South American delicacy. All of food we tried are good with a great variety of flavors on each plate. Started with a Goat Cheese Soufflé with a sourdough crumble on top making each bite creamy and crispy at the same time, not too strong of a flavor but just right. The pork belly dish is a must! With date jus snd chorizo the crispy and fatty pork melt in your mouth with the right tartness from the jus. The chicken breast was so well done it’s lean and soft at the same time. The paella brings out the sea flavor to the max. The mix is superb, no wonder it’s sold out right after we ordered ours. Bravo 👏🏻

For an avid and serious seafood lover, here is heaven on earth. "Approachable everyday dishes in refinement" Started with ceviche of seabass. Ceviche is sashimi of Mediterranean cuisine, which can be very simple. But perfection is hidden in absolute simplicity, the chef nailed it. I could've just drunk sauce: tangy with slight kick. Then this beautiful barbecued octopus Great! Soft and smokey leg on quinoa blanket Creamy #scallops was also equally good! But the star is Peruvian paella garnish is a bit messy, but I guess that's the concept. Seafood sensation. Rich flavour of Bali in your mouth and #fennel on top refreshes your palate. I'm pretty sure tomorrow my eyes and lips will be chapped - crustacean allergy, but despite the anticipated pain, gobbled ladle-full portions. Probably drink part can be revamped. I ordered strawberry mojito and cucumber margarita. Neither of it wasnt nice. Ratio was off. My very first to order sprite to be preemptive from hangover on the next day. Luckily I'm fine now.

balanced, scallops were nicely cooked and flavourful. Then we had pork belly and half portion paella as our mains. Pork belly was delicious, thin crispy skin, melt in your mouth meat. Paella was well cooked, tasty, perfect doneness of the fish. Food was all wonderful, perfectly seasoned. Service were great as well! We didnt make a reservation but the waitress kindly prepare a table for us, she even helped us with our car parking. Definitely will come back, although the prices were on the pricier side.

Found this place by random. We are lucky to get a table just by walk in. It’s quite a small restaurant, I believed that to make reservation will be better. The food was good, especially the grilled octopus, it was nicely grilled with nice presentation. Roasted pork was highly recommended by the staff, I think not bad, but I have tried many better one. Surprisingly, the fish was quite good. They have quite a service charges here. Worth a visit.

A cute lovely restaurant in the heart of Ubud, they have the most amazing Japanese oysters I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The menu is a bit limited but the staff is wonderful and the food is great.

Beautiful little restaurant. Delicious ceviche. The pork belly was top notch. Tres leches cake with just the right amount of passion fruit was a tasty ending.

The food is very tasty and the people are very nice. I recommend the glass of white wine too ( New Zealand) and the desert ( tres leches). We just reserved a table for today evening 😁

Absolutely amazing. Best food I had in Bali. Had the special oysters, goats cheese soufflé, scallops and regular ceviche. Everything was so tasty and a glass of white wine and a amaretto sour. Amaretto sour was probably one of the best I’ve had in my life

This place is a must try when in Ubud. Get yourself ready for one mouth watering experience with every bite of these delicious dishes. One of the best food I had in a really long time, everything was so fresh and tender and ugh I cannot even describe my experience here.

Yes, yes and yes! I might be a bit biased since Peruvuan food is my absolute favourite, but second to just across-the-street Locavore this was one of the best restaurants we tried in all of Bali. Every single detail with this meail was perfection and every taste well balanced. While all the classicly Peruvian dishes were there on the menu, the restaurant still takes liberties at innovating and making them personal - which was really nice and fun for somebody who has already tried them before (me) - and still an amazing tastebud trip for somebody who hasn't (my fiancee). You can book a table online on their website to make sure you get a seat, but really, don't miss this place when in Ubud - you will not be disappointed! Enjoy. 😁

I don’t really know where to begin here. The place was up there with one of the best I’ve eaten in during my 6 month stay in Bali. For me, hands down the best food, experience, service and atmosphere. The table service was Michelin star quality along with the amazing food with a perfect balance of flavours.

I am Peruvian food lover and whenever travel I take the opportunity to try Peruvian food. I must say that the ceviche was really nice and tasty the only downside was there was not canchita or “toasted corn” instead the used can corn and also no sweet potato. I tried Causa Del Mar and it was delicious...highly recommended. And also the Pisco Sour...was amazing. Overall highly recommended although for some can be overpriced as the portions are small.

6/5 stars if possible! Small intimate restaurant with superb food. Our party of 2 ordered scallops, duck ravioli, ceviche, the 16hr pork belly, 2 desserts and 4 cocktails between us, all for about $150-180usd. Service was also excellent. Quality of food and cocktails were simply excellent. Easily the most enjoyable meal in Bali we had. Definitely worth coming down to try this place out, even if you're not in Ubud, make a trip for dinner!

Great food, truly good. The only issue is that their peruvian food felt more like their interpretation of peruvian food rather than true peruvian cuisine. Still highly recommended

(Translated by Google) Really delicious South American / Peruvian food. The ceviche was totally delicious. The entrees of grilled pulpo and asparagus are also highly recommended. The empanadas with cheese are really recommended. The waitresses are very nice. The only catch is the high price. Do not do it every day :) it's worth it. Outside there are only a few tables overall very manageable but sweet restaurant!

Celebrated my birthday with a lovely dining experience, our first time eating Peruvian style food. Lovely venue, intimate and relaxed atmosphere. Food was delicious. We had the corn empanada and artichoke empanada for starter followed by the paella which looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Very different from Spanish paella we have tasted back home. Dessert was tres leche, also something new to us and such a delicate flavour and smooth texture.

If you visit Ubud for sure you want to taste the food in this restaurant, really nice menu, open kitchen, in the center and so proffesional staff. The only problem is the capacity, only a few tables so if you plan to go make reservation in advance. The prices are a little higher that what they should be but is understandable.

I came alone for dinner, cocktail menu is simple and only has traditional combination. I had the strawberry mojito it was done quite well. Appetizer bbq prawn was excellent, super tasty and fresh. However the main dish Caucan was disappointing- catch of the day was red snapper but the whole chunk of meat was so bland, slightly over cooked, the asparagus, fish and the sauce was not cohesive as a whole but rather on its own together even worse…. The sauce itself was not bad. Whole bill was about 600K I don’t think I will come back again

A hidden gem! Excelente food, loved the Japanese style oysters. You do have to order several dishes as they are more of a size of degustación but so so tasty. Even the choice of music was just perfect, chilled and gave a nice atmosphere to the place.

Ceviche was a bit bland. Goat cheese parfait is delicious. Chicken and fish of the day are tasty but nothing special. We didn’t drink any alcohol but the bill for 2 still was 1.3m.

A must go to restaurant when you are in Ubud. I adore all of their food by my favorite are the scallop and goat cheese soufflé. You cannot really get this kind of soufflé anywhere else in Indonesia. I tried the roast chicken this time and surprisingly it was very juicy and tasty. Empanadas here are always great- crispy and savory inside. One of the thing I wish is more dessert selection.

Authentic latin food. The tres leches cake was excellent. We payed 9€ for 0,1l glass of wine which is very steep. The service could be a bit friendlier

This is the best meal we had in Ubud, by far, and the rest weren't bad. In fact, one of the best anywhere in recent memory! It is more South American inspired which isn't local admittedly but was so good. From lovely sourdough bread with fresh parsley based spread to start it set the standard high and kept it up. Had a beautiful goat's cheese soufflé starter. Alongside empenadas that were superb also. Then a sublime pork belly with vibrant vegetable rice. All balanced flavours with subtle cooking on sweet potato, carrot and an intense chorizo that may have been breaded. The chocolate tart was the cherry on top! Red wine as a lovely Spanish variety alongside San Miguel beer. If we had this in Spain would have raved also. Expensive by local prices, but worth it. Only reason for detracting on atmosphere was a worry Tuesday eve in off season.

Very good representation of Latin and western cuisine. My boyfriend is from South America and he loved Ceviche mixto, the crispy pork belly is to die for. Octopus was super tender. Caipirinha was outstanding. The place is small but the food was really high end!

  • 5/5 Yanai Z. 5 months ago on Google
Delicious food, unpretentious but perfectly executed cocktails, and service is impeccable. Why not 5 stars, for the food ? Honestly, in most other locales I'd have given Pica 5 stars, but the bar in Ubud is really high, and a few spots DO manage to surpass this. The octopus and pork belly were very nice. The ceviche was a home run.

The most expensive yet the most disappointing dining experience we’ve had here. Expect to spend $60 usd for a meal for 2. Sad to say that it was not a good experience at all… we have eaten at all sorts of places as we’ve been in Bali for a month. We’ve eaten at way cheaper places that taste way fresher. So, we expected better for such a highly rated place. They gave us really slow, unfriendly service even on an empty, raining night. It took a long time to get our starters and then the staff mixed up the orders so others that arrived way after us got food way before us. The food we received was either too bland (ceviche tasted not fresh perhaps frozen? and it was flavorless in the sauce super bland and the paella was so crazy salty with some kind of unpalatable clam juice). None of the dishes tasted good which hasn’t happened for us before. It was excruciatingly slow and took over an hour to get our dishes. If you have all the time to spare and are in the mood for a slow glass of wine and slowly lounging with your SO on a first date vibe then this could work for you. For many people who are wanting to enjoy a dinner and not spend all night on a dinner, this just isn’t a great spot in terms of the high cost of dishes and the low quality service. For me I just don’t want to waste my Bali holiday experience on such time consuming and uninspiring meals / food.

I dunno why, I'm not lucky enough as if I read the other giving good review to this resto. The waitress giving us good service, they're lovely.. Love the Mixto ceviche (even tho the portion was way too small). Then I surprised by the Mains! My friend ordered Caucau and the broth was too salty!! I had Pollo Peruano, they served it with yellow rice and it was salty too! The chicken itself was good until I cut the middle part and it was raw and still bleeding. It's a big NO!! Waitress took our food back to the kitchen and apologize, she remove that from our bills, but still it wasn't good experience over all.. Hope the chefs can improve as I saw there were so many people working inside the kitchen but the quality of the foods was horrible..

Mains were the risotto and the best pork belly I've ever had. 10/10 would totally recommend

The BBQ prawns are unreal.. A must-try as an appetizer if you're into shellfish. I haven't had a truly memorable food experience in a while, and this was absolutely it 😍👌🏼 Had the Peruvian chicken as a main, and while it doesn't compare to the Peruvian rotisserie chickens that im used to which are typically accompanied by ají sauce and tacu tacu, is still very, very good. The meat itself was juicy all the way through unlike most restaurants where it comes out partly dry. Prices are fairly above average for Bali but you certainly get what you pay for. Overall a fantastic non-vegetarian option in Ubud and one of the better culinary experiences I've had in Bali. Lovely staff and attentive service to boot, and a cozy streetside ambiance. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended.. It was hard to book a table even during this pandemic time. Will definitely be back.
