This place is MAGICAL! You need to walk a bit or ride with your scooter as there is no car access, but that walk/ride is a big part of the experience as it’s in the middle of rice fields and local sellers. The food is spectacular and healthy (they use red rice and organic ingredients). The owners are so humble and happy to share their restaurant story. They have local honey and gave us some to taste … delicious. Highly recommend!!

One of the best Soto ayam that I tried in Indonesia! It tastes like I'm eating a while fresh garden in one soup!!! The garden is so beautiful which ever seat you choose. Their coffee and juice are also fresh and nice. It's shame that I only found this place on my last day in Ubud. Will definitely come back on my future trip😍

This is absolutely a hidden gem. If you want to go away from the business of ubud, take a stroll towards this restaurant, through the rice fields. The location is absolutely perfect, very affordable prices and amazing food. The black rice pudding and the banana pancake are a must to try!

Great food at a great price! This restaurant sits in the middle of some rice fields in a very tranquil setting. You could spend hours just hanging out here. It is off the main road and may be difficult to find. You ll have to follow a path and the signs for the restaurant which will take you through a path in the fields until you reach the shack like restaurant. Both our dishes were stellar and only cost 85k/$8 CAD!

An old favourite over the years. I come here every time I’m in Bali and it hasn’t change, it just drips with positive energy and atmosphere, one of those rare places that just feels so good to be around. The staff are lovely and It’s just a bonus that the food and drinks are really good as well.

Breathtaking view (and even path to go there). Super friendly stuff and a really cozy environment to dine in. A little bit harder to get there but they are collecting money to improve the path. (If you donate more than 300.000 you get your own part of path with your name on it).

Amazing place. Amazing food and even better view. You can ride your bike here but I'd recommend walking to take in the great views of the rice terraces all around. Food is great and a great price.

What a wonderful experience having lunch at this beautiful restaurant in the rice fields. We walked up the Sweet Orange Trail from Central Ubud until we found the restaurant. We were greeted with friendly smiles and seated overlooking the rice fields. The fresh blended juices were amazing. I opted for the chicken curry lunch, which was incredibly delicious. We will be back.

What a great find! Half way round the Kajeng Rice Field walk we came across Sweet Orange Warung sitting right on the path, surrounded by rice fields. It was the perfect place for a short rest and a cold drink, but they also did hot drinks and a full menu if you needed more. The setting was sublime, the drinks excellent, fast service, and a decent bathroom.

From a nice rice field walk (some hairy moments walking planks over big drops!) you happen across the Sweet Orange Warung. It's very peaceful here and you can enjoy a nice meal. Not sure about all the weird coconut faces, but I'm sure the kids will like them.

This hidden away place was one we just stumbled upon by accident. Its location is fantastic amongst rice fields and local farm homes. Sweet Orange Warung is beautifully laid out for a relaxing stop for a juice, drink, or meal. The service was friendly and quick.

We spent fantastic time with my wife here. They offered us pickup from the airport (even though we arrived late). The staff is incredibly friendly, they helped us organizing travel to the east of the island with great and fair price. The food and drinks were delicious. The view from the restaurant is majestic - it's located in the rice field. Ubud is just roughly 20 minutes walk through the rice fields. Oh, and they have a pool too! All I can do is to recommend sweet orange for stay.

This place is set like a movie scene on the steps of the local rice terraces. The food is simply amazing, as well as their delicious juices and other drinks. Access to Sweet Orange Warung from the main road is a little decrepit, but it doesn't hinder the experience at all as within seconds you are on rice fields. I love that they have programs in place to make the road that they are on better for the farmers, and you can donate to help them with it.

It’s definitely a bit remote and the way to the restaurant can only be accessed by foot or bike, definitely wear comfortable shoes, preferably something that covers your toes because the route can be quite muddy. Best to come here during day time (the restaurant closes at 7pm anyways). If you come at night, make sure you bring a torch. Food was great and the view is amazing, price is very affordable as well.

When you're doing the Kajeng Rice Field short hike, this is the midpoint rest stop in the middle of the rice fields. The food & drinks are not bad but the view is spectacular (let's admit it, you're not here for gourmet food, you're here for the view and experience). Especially useful if you're doing the hike with kids or elderly relatives. The trek is accessible by both walking and motorcycle.

I come here for breakfast often and it’s a very nice place. Peaceful and quiet. More serene music is recommended… pop music probably isn’t the best choice. Reason for the review: Everyone is very nice except one female staff. I feel very upset and uncomfortable because of her attitude. Either her attitude has to be changed or her job needs to be changed.

What a cute cafe!! It is in such a beautiful location. It feels off the beaten track enough that it is quiet and serene, but a very short walk from the main town. Our favourite stop in Ubud by far! Food and drinks were also great and service was fantastic. Wish we had found it sooner!

(Translated by Google) Recommended place. Love all the surrounding. Food cheap and delicious. In this shop, the concept is environmentally friendly. I chat a lot with this friendly owner. The coconut in the shape of a human head is sold for 100 thousand. The funds will be made social for local residents who collect garbage from the coconut in the fields. So as not to pollute the environment. You will not be disappointed with this place even though it is a bit away from the crowd. This place is very comfortable (Original) Recomnded place .

Great food, great location, great relaxed atmosphere and people. We arrived around 21h, and didn't know that they took their last order half an hour ago (somehow we missed they close at 21h). They went out of their way and made one of the best nasi goreng I've had in Bali. Would definitely recommend going here. Also a French guy helped us who's a regular there. He's going to open a tapas restaurant in the main street of Ubud. If you read this: check if he's opened it already.

After we sat down we literally had to get up and get our own menus. After more than 20 minutes we had to go up to the counter and ask to actually order since no one came to the table. Following that we waited for more than 40 minutes for literally fried rice and noodles with chicken ( idk if they were harvesting the rice or catching the chickens). The wait was most definitely not worth it. The food was mid at most. Honestly would recommend you walk 2 more minutes up the street and sit down at the nice restaurant there.

Great spot that's well worth the beautiful walk through the rice paddies! Beautiful little warung in the river fields that you could easily miss unless you go out looking for it. We had two Indonesian soups and a sweet & sour prawn dish, with 3 fresh juices. All were excellent. Food is lovely, local fare, and well priced. A slice of heaven that you should experience if you're nearby in Ubud.

I have stayed in over 15 hotels in Bali, ranging from $20 to $2,000 and I can confidently say Sweet Orange is the best value of them all! I stayed over 10 nights here over several stays in both the deluxe villa and the Joglo style (traditional Javanese). The cleanliness is 10/10 (compared to even more expensive places in Bali!) and the service is so fabulous. Everyone there is very nice and welcoming and have great communication in person and over WhatsApp. The location is sublime, feeling peaceful in nature in the rice field, but so close to the city only about 10 minutes walk. I definitely got my steps in and felt like I could have both options easily! Plus I saved a lot of money from not having to take a taxi all the time. The WiFi is super strong in the rooms and in the restaurant, and I was able to get work done and stream Netflix :) Also the FOOD: oh my gosh, the food! You will not find tastier food in Ubud! It’s so fresh and colorful, just look at the photos! It’s so convenient if you don’t wanna stray too far from home, especially in wet season. I also love that Sweet Orange is owned and operated by Balinese, so you know that your money is going back into the community instead of foreign property owners. Finally, here’s some things to keep in mind depending on what type of traveler you are: - you will have to walk. The only way to access the hotel is by walking a trail that requires a sturdy 10 minute walk, usually in the heat. - the hotel is in nature, blessed with the sounds of birds, geckos, frogs, and buzzing wildlife. Keep this in mind if you’re a very light sleeper - all of the rooms have stairs. Didn’t bother me at all but if you have mobility issues, it might be a tough one

What an amazing gem! I was traveling here with friends, and we visited twice during our four days in the area. My friend has been here previously and wanted to introduce the two of us to it and we were both so happy that he did. The family that owns it is very friendly, and they provide such good service and such a high quality of products. They have a great juice selection, and the food is fresh and amazing. The entire establishment is extremely clean and well taken care of. Eating breakfast in the middle of the gorgeous scenery and surroundings is an experience you’ll never forget. Visiting this place was one of the highlights of my entire trip and I cannot wait to recommend it to friends and family as well as visiting it every time I’m in town. The walk to get there is breathtaking as well and it’s a beautiful way to spend your morning.

A great find while walking around the rice fields, very beautiful setting. However, local food looks nice but overpriced and food was cold. I have definitely eaten at much better Warungs with fantastic food. You are paying for the view only here.

A very nice little place for a non alcoholic drink, good view on the sunset. It is a bit far from the city center, take a scooter if you can. Great decorations, very nice waiters and oh god the juices are wonderful!! Surrounded by the rice fields you'll get a peaceful moment, gazing at the carved coconuts.

Lovely little stop on the walk through the rice paddies. Food was standard Indonesian fare but made well. Nothing flash with recipes but done really well. Tasty. We stayed for an hour or so, because it was so peaceful.

Beautiful treat to stop at as you walk through the rice paddies. So close to Ubud central yet feels so far away from everything. We had desserts - black rice pudding, banana and cheese lumpia and fruit salad. All were good but the lumpia was our favourite, that was incredibly tasty. Good drinks too, definitely would recommend coming here.

Lovely spot, probably the most unique location of any Warung I've visited so far. The staff are super friendly too! The food was good and fairly priced. I'm not rating 5 as the food and options didn't stand out, but it's a good little spot for a chilled atmosphere in a lovely location with good food.

Really great spot! Super friendly and welcoming staff with a smile. Food and drinks are very yummy and fresh. They have put in a lot of effort to make it relaxing and it truly is. Highly recommend the chicken and peanut sauce, as well as the pancake and taster platter! We could’ve stayed here all day. It was our first meal of the day and we took the advantage of the scenic views and enjoyed every second. Highly recommend a stop on your walk.

I read reviews about this place and perhaps since the location is great, they received great reviews. But I thought that there was very limited seating that had a nice view while you’re eating and the food is subpar. I would have preferred to save my money, ordered only a tea and went back to the city for chicken that wasn’t dry and overcooked, a salad that wasn’t a basic one I could make and chicken satay that was lukewarm upon receiving. For the amount of tourists that were here while I was, they can afford to hire better chefs.

So we had a week in ubud,we had two excursions booked, which meant we only had 5 options for dinner. We went here on the first day as I'd seen people visit on YouTube. We were not disappointed, and once we had eaten, we both agreed we would come back. The food is amazing... from presentation to taste. I had a different meal every time (5), and there was nothing I didn't like or, more importantly, enjoy. The price in the menu includes the tax so what you see is what you pay...its so cheap and 10/10 for value over taste. And the atmosphere and views of the rice fields around are just so relaxing. You must visit this place. Good food, good prices, such a fantastic place to sit and eat or drink. Meal for two ranged from £7.50 to £11 including drinks.. Honestly, I could not say enough good things about the sweet orange warung.go go go...

Hidden Gem in Ubud’s Padi Fields! I absolutely loved my stay at Sweet Orange. It really was everything I hoped it would be — delicious and wholesome food, warm hospitality, and all the fixtures we could want in a traditional Balinese home away from home, set amidst expansive rice padi fields just a 10 minute walk away from the heart of Ubud. “Off the beaten path” is the best description of that route. It’s imperfect and roughly hewn in places. I’d be wary to tackle it when wet or raining. While that may not be for everyone, To folks like me, that adds to the distinctive and immeasurable charm of the place. And on that path, on a moonless night, if you’re lucky, you might encounter the namesake of many things in the area — fireflies! Many many fireflies! It was positively magical to the city dweller I am. I’ve noticed several reviews talking about how the food was slow to come out, or that service itself was also slow. All I can say is that wasn’t the case for me. I’m clearly a fan. I came here 5 years ago when it was just only a Warung, and the soul and heart of the place is still there. You can’t beat the distinctive combination of wholesomeness, location, and genuine soul that won me over. It’s not for everyone, but for folks like me, this is a place you will be calling a second home for years to come. Thank you Putu and family! Please keep it up :)

Note if you are driving: do NOT get in to Jalan Kajeng. This place is not accessible by car. Instead park at Museum Puri Lukisan, then walk through the small alley right beside it, just follow the foot path for ~10 minutes. Enjoy the scenery along the path, and in the Warung itself of course!

Finally a good recommendation from Lonely planet! This little cafe among the rice fields is worth the walk. Starting from Ubud the initial part is not great as it seems you are crossing a dump, but in just 10 minutes walk the chaos of the city appears far and you enter a beautiful rural dimension. Then you reach the cafe and it’s nice architecture and tasty offers, a beautiful garden overlooking the fields and if you are lucky mount angung. Nice idea also to create faces out of the holed coconuts and sell them to support the local community, I’m only upset they didn’t hung it when we were still there

Hidden gem of ubud. Beautiful warung with the nicest owner right in the middle of serene rice fields. Walk from the main road in Ubud for a cool experience. Incredible coffee we had the Vietnamese drip. Ask for the donuts that aren't on the menu!

Got here almost accidentally, and it was so good that we returned again and again. We were fortunate to try their amazing pork ribs special, but other dishes are also of top quality. Outstanding coffee

Wow! In a stunning location a little walk from the heart of Ibud. What a wonderful quiet place we found. Great food; good quiet ambiance; lovely people. We had a chance to speak to the owner and she was such an amazing soul. Thank you for sharing your stories with us and teaching us about your culture. Your food was wonderful. If in doubt, stop by this place. The walk to the restaurant is amazing. We left with happy hearts and bellies full. 🙏🏽

Come here if you have time! It’s probably the loveliest restaurant I’ve ever been at. The view is amazing, it’s at a quiet place and the food is amazing!! I had the vegetable curry- it was incredible. The tofu was so good and the sauce/soup was GREAT!!

Literally ate here everyday when I stayed In Ubud. Also it’s truly my favorite restaurant I’ve been to in the 2 months I’ve been traveling Bali. The staff is unbeatable, full of spirit, love, and generosity. The food is fresh, good serving size, and absolutely delicious. The Bakwan is a must for appetizers. Their soups are insanely good If your a soup fan, I simply rotated through all three. Their tuna and chicken dishes are superb. Cooked in coconut oil which makes everything sit in my belly easier :) Then we come to the ambiance, you’re seated In the heart of the rice fields making for a beautiful view, sunsets, and bird viewing. If you’re a cat fan they have some very loving and friendly kitty spirits

Beautiful Warung with a thoughtful and friendly owner. The food was fresh and delicious. We'll definitely return. Special thanks to the kind young man for helping my wife (broken leg) return to our car.

(Translated by Google) Oasis in the middle of the rice fields not far from the hustle and bustle of the road. Delicious food and drinks. Is the only warning in the green stripe - prices are still normal and everything is clean and tidy (Original) Oase in mitten der Reisfelder nicht weit vom Straßentrubel entfernt. Leckeres Essen und Getränke. Ist der einzige Warung in dem grünen Streifen - Preise dennoch normal und alles sauber und ordentlich

You have to walk through a rice field to get there, but it has a very nice view. It is a nice change of scenery from the noisy street of Ubud. The food there is also quite good and reasonably priced. However if you are walking, probably finish before it gets dark, as the way back through darkness is quite scary.

👍 Ordinary food in a spectacular location, in the middle of rice paddy. The crispy duck is really crispy, a bit too dry. The sate lilit is delicious. The gurami goreng bit bland / tasteless. Nor the sauce / sambal nor the fish have any taste. It also would be better if they have soup in their menu to...
