I have been coming here on and off for almost 8 years. Living in Bali now for several years now I still come for breakfast if in the neighborhood. I was happy to see they made it through covid. The food nowadays is overpriced and just "good enough" compared to other breakfast spots in Ubud. The view is beautiful and the space is very chill which is what you are probably paying for. I have always appreciated that the owner seems to encourage feedback for his restaurants online and in person. That all being said this has to be one of the most disappointing breakfasts I have had in Ubud for a long time. 85k for a soggy burnt small waffle with freezer burned ice cream. Way overpriced for the size/quality of the meal. Getting past the bottom being burnt it wasn't crispy, ice cream was old and in the freezer way too long, and overall lacked flavor. Quite frankly it was just bad. I have enjoyed other meals on their breakfast menu like the zucchini omlette or coconut porridge but after this I wouldnt reconsider coming back when other places offer better quality in the same price range.

The food at this restaurant is all vegetarian- but it’s ideal if you have a vegetarian in your group, because even normal people will enjoy the food. The Vietnamese pancakes were delicious and the larb was absolutely outstanding. The dragonfruit smoothie was a unique taste, and very enjoyable. I didn’t like the beetroot juice ‘purple haze’, but the token vegetarian did! With a lovely view over the fields and friendly service, this is a great lunch spot for a day trip to Ubud.

We had the vegetarian bolognese. High recommendation: super tasty and flavorful. The side dishes have also all tasted really really good, fresh, well seasoned. It was possible to taste every single ingredient. During the day, the café also offers a great view over the city.

We really enjoyed our evening. The restaurant has a style, atmosphere and flair that most other places in Ubud seemed to lack. There seemed to be an Italian edge to the menu we both found refreshing, and although its a bit pricier it is certainly worth making a night of it. Ps gorgeous views of the Campuhan ridge walk from the restaurant, get there for sunset!

It was so delicious. I am still amazed how a simple salad can be so reach in flavours. Besides the lovely food the restaurant also looks very beautiful and offers a nice view. It is therefore not surprisingly that a few guest looked like they spent entire days in the Elephant.

The view. OMG the view.. great vegie/vegan restaraunt. They could be serving earwax on a stick and I'll still eat there just to see that amazing landscape.

The elephant has an elevated view overlooking the champuan ridge and a fresh breeze blowing through. The food is vegetarian and tasty enough. It's a bit expensive and portion size is a little small for my taste but the view is lovely.

I just had a lovely breakfast here! The staff was friendly, the food was good, the view was amazing, and the space was so cute. I will be back to try something new, and would definitely recommend this place to any vegetarian/vegan person looking for a breakfast/quick lunch.

The paradise porridge is so good, I can back two days in a row for it. Creamy and not too sweet with bits of fruit and coconut. Amazing. Would love to try lunch items but they only do lunch after 11:30am.

This was one of the most delicious and nutritious meals in Bali so far. The chocolate mousse is to die for! We got the Gorilla Salad, Buddha Bowl, and the gyozas. Atmosphere and view are great, very quiet spot with quality coffee.

I’ve been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner; and what an absolute treat! Everything was delicious and fresh (sorry no dinner photos), but my favourite part was sitting on the bench during the day overlooking the rice fields. The breeze comes through and it’s so quiet. Vietnamese pancakes and the Gorilla salad are the BEST! Also, smashed potatoes MMM.

Took my wife here for date night and it was ok. The view was amazing and the service was good. We got the gyoza and pumpkin soup as a starter and they were delicious. For the main meal we got the Tom Yum and Pad Thai and they were a bit disappointing. The flavors didn’t sit well with our taste buds, the Tom Yum soup was too heavy on tomatoes and didn’t taste right. Also don’t forget to bring your bug spray because the mosquitoes comes out to play at night.

The location is somehow not easily found because it's suitated in the new commical zone up of the hill. The parklot is only for motobikes. The kitchen is no doubt creative and savory which with world view and plus some addtional here and there, then the cuisine has becoming something rather interesting. Balinese service is usually kind, the green surrounding is pleasant but the seating arrangment is not well enough for clients to view the scenery down below. So we ordered the food which is both traditional and new vision of combination. Well, we found they are all fine but a few distance from delicious.

AMAZING! haven for vegans and vegetarians. Beautiful surroundings, great atmosphere and the food is to die for, not to mention the cocktails! Hands down our best meal in Bali and up there for one of our best meals ever just because of the surroundings and the context of our trip! Couldn't recommend enough.

The elephant is open all days for all meals. It serves earth-friendly food and drinks that are healthy and delicious. As an accredited member of the slow food movement, they use ethical, local and organic produce to make vegan and vegetarian food of the best quality. Their open-air restaurant has a tranquil environment and overlooks the picturesque ricefields, river and Campuhan Ridge. Their healthy breakfast and lunch will keep you fueled up while Antipasti and cocktails will be perfect after a long day of sightseeing. If you’re lucky enough to visit their restaurant during dinner, you’ll be swept away by their candlelit colonial decor and a special DJ-curated playlist. The average cost per person: Rp 100,000

Rösti Stack is alright. I asked to replace the eggs with tofu, they were really good with that. Still came with a side of feta, would've been nice to know about it while ordering. The most annoying thing is that I had a drink, main AND dessert. Still hungry. Went home and had a second lunch. Is it so difficult to offer a bigger potato? More sticky rice? Come on! It looks more sad if you get the original (with egg), since they put it on top. So half the plate is empty 😂

A great vegetarian restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Extensive menu, price reflected in quality. Amazing view of the Campuhan Ridge. Open veranda feeling with great views. Staff were friendly and helpful. Some cool seating options. It’s off the main road behind Dumbo and has off-street parking.

This place is not cheap, but I find the food really tasty. I'd rather come here again than to the hyped Sayan House which I find really overpriced. The Elephant has no live music, but the food portions are much bigger and the atmosphere is more relaxed (it was not crowded at all)

Beautiful cafe nestled away from the main road and with a lovely view across to the Campuhan walking ridge. Healthy, delicious food, lots of vegetarian/vegan options and hearty salads. Staff are super friendly. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended place to stop for food or a drink and to soak up the calm and the view. If you like chai, it's superb here.

This property is located in the middle of the jungle in Ubud. We booked for two night but as soon as we saw it couldn’t wait to extend for two more nights! Definitely recommend trying breakfasts and dinner at their restaurant! Worth every single penny!

So delicious and such a beautiful location! The view is amazing. Staff was incredibly friendly and the service was quick. The food was delicious. We ordered the Golden Dragon Smoothie which looks beautiful and tastes amazing. We also ordered garlic bread (the portion on this is huge), smashed potatoes (they’re crispy fried not smashed but still tasted amazing), and lumpia. 10/10 food and it’s all vegetarian, lots of vegan options too. They’re very accommodating. Will definitely be back.

I have been coming to this little, hidden gem for a few years and relieved to find it was still alive and open post pandemic on my recent visit. I always visit more than once while staying up the road in Ubud and always bring friends and suggest it and they too love it- I call it my cheap & cheerful place in Ubud where I can go alone or with company and perch on a stool facing the lush jungle and listen to tunes whilst eating one of their delicious, fresh salads. I love the no fuss, simple feel of it and need to mention two highlights , okay 3 ...1/ the staff ( I am sorry I cannot recall names) who are always sweet, smiling , welcoming and attentive and always remember me and my love for a particular salad ( the Gorilla) 2/ the salads, snacks and sweet potato fries/wedges -yum! 3/ the coffee is the best I had in Ubud and on my way out on my last visit I let the lovely barista know and he was so proud and chuffed to hear he had made my day. The owner was there on one visit and I overheard him chatting with customers & staff-he was genuinely present, warm & engaging and thats the type of authentic place I like to visit and support. Thank you and see you on my next visit. Cheers Penie ps how can I forget to mention THE best brownie ever -YUM!

Food: My wife ordered the big breakfast and the samosas which were terrible. The big breakfast came with canned beans and canned mushrooms, you can tell these werent freshly made. Also its a "vegan" dish that came with regular butter on the toast. This dish is way over priced. The samosas weren't even close to being what a samosas are supposed to be (see picture below) and weren't freshly made either. They came from a frozen package. The only thing that was good was my smoothie. Price: over priced for the quality of food Atmosphere: the view is beautiful Service: not the best... not the most friendly or helpful waitress Recommendation: I do not recommend going there, I am sure other restaurants have similar if not better view with better food.

Thanks so much for having us ! This place may look closed on the outside due to the dark lights and quietness (as we believed earlier in the week) but it is well and truly open ! Our favourites were the lychee cocktail and espresso martini and the vegan cheesecake was to die for ! We met the lovely owner Jonno and the beautiful waitress Julie. Couldn’t ask for better service Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian or otherwise - this is a must stop on your trip to ubud.

It really is a fabulous, cozy, place. It serves good comfort food with European price point, which I think is well deserved. I really like their coffee thing with ice cream. The view is lovely. The vibe is chill and quiet. I’m a regular and I wish for more places like this in Ubud.

Woweeee we have visited Ubud twice this past year, and love this place!! We chose to stay across the road this most recent trip and have eaten here for brekkie and lunch everyday. The smoothies are next level, we have tried all of them and each time we came back we couldn't decide which one to have again because they were sooooo good. The food is delicious too, big brekkie was my BF favourite and I liked to mix it up between the brekkie and lunch menu. Every meal was served fresh. The atmosphere is calming and peaceful. It's open plan overlooking the valley of Ubud, you can see people walking the Campuhan hike (which starts just down the road). Worth driving to, from anywhere!

Tom Yum truly disappointed. Very sweet, not sour. A lot of lemongrass sticks, which are hardly chewable. Not spicy at all. We ordered extra rice to make it a bit thicker. Salad the Gorilla has extremely bitter taste, overall not a good combination of greens and veggies and dressing. Also ordered smoothie Golden Dragon - it was okay (no mango though due to low mango season). It used to be such a wonderful place to eat three years ago. So sad it is not as good as it was anymore.

The restaurant is facing the forest and has a really comfortable and quiet settings. I went there around 10:40 and ordered a Pad Thai. Great spot to chill. Varied food and drinks menu. Good service. Lovely views. Recommend the gnocchi and pad Thai. Good prices. (Only criticism was Brownie was described on the menu as the best in Bali but we weren’t so sure… had a better one in Sanur. Still good though!)

Beautiful restaurant with a lot of healthy options. Prices are on the expensive side for Bali but the quality of the food totally deserves it. I had a Buddha bowl, coconut water and mango cheesecake and with the service and taxes came to 170, rp

Really tasty food. Pleasant atmosphere above a natural landscape and a very friendly and attentive staff. The corn fritters were excellent and also the lemon tart. Always great food. I've been here probably 15 times over almost 3 years and it is very consistent. My recommendation though: everyone wants to sit near the end with the good view. Rearrange the tables so that you don't have just 2 people taking up the whole end/corner view.

Good food. Vegetarian. Good mood. Nice views. An Ubud staple. It could do with some more comfortable seating tho, and the music needs a bit of a refresh. I don't mean to be picky about sound, but two stacked Technics speakers under a counter in a corner does not a great atmosphere make. Still, the view and food makes up for it.

Although we are living close to The Elephant, we hadn't really thought of going because it is vegetarian restaurant and we are meat eaters however a friend who is vegetarian took us over for dinner one night and all I can say is WOW! First off - the view of the ridge is fantastic! Thankfully we got there before it got too dark and got to take in the view. I ordered a frappe to drink and got the choice of three fruits. I went with banana, mango and orange (unfortunately they were out of strawberry). It was delicious. So smooth and refreshing. For my main course I had the sage gnocchi. It was incredible. One of the best gnocchi dishes I have every had. My husband chose the fettuccine with mushroom sauce. The dish was fantastic. The sauce smooth and rich and the noodles homemade. Service was exceptional! We will definitely be back to try more of their delicious dishes!

The view from the restaurant is amazing. But the food was not that great, just everage. They don't have many vegan options and only one vegan main dish. The staff was also not great, not paying attention and they didn't tell me that something was out, they just brought me something else without saying anything. The menus are confusing, the drink menu contains also food and the food menu also contains drinks, but different things... The cheese cake (declared as vegan) tastes like goat cheese. I'm sorry, but I cannot recommend this place for vegans. Maybe the vegetarian options are better.

Если есть желание созидать рядом с сомнительного рода личностями, то Вам сюда. Если хотите поесть, то найдите место по-лучше.

Food was great, but unfortunately their sweet potatoes fried is overpriced. For a small bowl of it you have to pay 50k :(

Great atmosphere with delicious vegan options. The Mango-Dragon Smoothie (made with coconut yogurt for vegan version) was amazing. If you sit towards the back you have a beautiful view overlooking the Campuhan Ridge Walk. A bit pricier than the average place in Indonesia but worth it IMO.

Nor the sauce / sambal nor the fish have any taste. It also would be better if they have soup in their menu to...
