A traditional warung with excellent Balinese food. The staff was so kind and welcoming and helped us understand their dishes easily. We had ordered a nasi campur. The meal was so filling and delicious and to be able to experience it in a local Balinese compound was the icing on the cake. Super affordable and amazing taste. Do try it out if you're ever in Ubud.

This was the first restaurant I ate at in Ubud that was recommended by a friend and I can only say that it's one the best authentic Indonesian restaurants in the area. Food was legit, presented really well, tasted really great and sufficient enough you will definitely leave full and satisfied. Highly recommended especially their dessert!

Beautiful place that takes you back in time. Low seating and decor is aesthetically designed. The food was good but not great. Surprisingly most of the food we had was slightly bland and we needed lots of the sambal on the table to spice it up.

Stopped by Sunseonwaryong, not too far from the accommodation. Arrived around 2 PM and had to wait about 20 minutes outside before being seated. Ordered the Nasi Goreng and Nasi campur as mains, along with fried chicken and corn fritters as sides. Waited for over 40 minutes after ordering... except for the delay in food, everything was fine. Initially thought the portions might be small, but ended up being really full haha. If you avoid lunch hours, you might be able to eat without waiting!

This is a lovely experience. The food was great! It just wasn't bursting with flavour like some recent ones I've had but was very very good. The seating was really cool and setting is lovely. Would definitely recommend going just to even experience the atmosphere. Then we finished off with a takeaway ice cream which was LOVELY.

Very nice restaurant. Typical Balinese ambience. Be prepared to take off your shoes to go to the table. Possibility to sit on cushions on the floor or on chairs. Practically outdoors. Typical Balinese menu, well served and tasty. Very friendly staff.

My favourite restaurant in Ubud! We loved it so much that we came back every day during our stay. The atmosphere is serene and peaceful, especially with the soft music and birds chirping. The staff are wonderful! Very friendly, helpful, and personable. The food is amazing! We usually ordered one of the packages, which is great value for the money spent (but if you get a package, come hungry because it's a lot of food and we definitely left stuffed a couple of times). Everything we ordered tasted fresh and flavourful. Our favourite dishes are the Nasi Campur, Nasi Goreng and rice pudding (but again, everything we ate was delicious). If you're in Ubud, you must go to Sun Sun Warung!

The restaurant has a typical Bali style interior with green lush and seating on the table and floor as well. The food is fabulous with ample portions. The waitresses are very nice and quick to serve. Prices are affordable as well. The authentic warung vibe is always enticing for me. We would like to give it a try again

Sun Sun Warung is a hidden gem! Their Balinese food is absolutely delicious, and the prices won't break the bank. The atmosphere is great too. I highly recommend their Nasi Campur – the way they arrange the food on the plate is something special. And don't miss out on the fresh and pure dragon fruit – it's a delight. The staff here are top-notch – polite and professional. If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience that won't empty your wallet, Sun Sun Warung is the place to be.

The experience begins from when you walk into this restaurant, feeling like you are walking into a traditional temple. The food is delicious, well presented, generous portions, fresh and bursting with flavour. This place was super busy, try and get there early to avoid waiting in a line, although the wait was not too long! For the experience you get the pricing is very fair, highly recommend visiting.

Food was affordable, tasty and aesthetically pleasing! Staff were also very friendly They do not take reservations, so be sure to be there early. There is a small, sheltered waiting area inside with some drinks available while waiting too. They are planning to open a sister restaurant (Moon), though not too certain when and where it will be. Not wheelchair accessible. As it is in the centre of Ubud, traffic is always congested, so be prepared if you are coming here by car. Will still strongly recommend that you visit this place.

Probably the best place to eat in Ubud. The moment you enter the restaurant there is an amazing atmosphere, quiet and peaceful. You probably have to queue but it doesn’t take more than 20min to get a table. The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly. We had also dessert which again was just perfect. And if you think it can’t get better, well it can, it is also very affordable.

Just had lunch at sun sun today. Fantastic well flavoured food. Excellent presentation and service from attentive staff. Constant stream of people coming in to eat, they must also know how good this place is and so reasonably priced also. We will go back in the next few days to sample more of the great food 10/10

We got takeaway on grab eats, and the food was amazing. Excellent value. Strongly recommend. Food in the photo was 120k delivered which was excellent value. The entrees are quite large. Only downside is we needed to wait a bit, which isn't a surprise given how popular this place is and was worth the wait.

I stayed a week in ubud and tried Sun Sun 3 times! Dinner once and lunch takeouts twice. The food is amazing with the great taste, great price, nice ambiance and everything you can possibly think of. Tried all their vegetarian food and love them! Will definitely come back!

We had dinner at Sun Sun Warung last night and ordered Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian Nasi Campur with drinks. All three courses of food were delicious. However, if you happen to dine in there make sure you get the seating downstairs as there is not enough ventilation upstairs. There are only two ceiling fans covering only one section of the floor. The restaurant should consider installing more fans for the diners.

Beware of Bali-Belly! We chose to eat here based on reviews. As we entered the restaurant, we walked up stairs that had coconut carvings and flowers on the stairs, all of which were artistically beautiful. We arrived at 6:15, and I would not recommend arriving any later, as people were streaming in and there was a wait shortly after we arrived. The food was tasty and presented in a beautiful manner, however about 18 hours later…Bali-belly. I had to stay in my hotel room for the entire day and be near the bathroom. If you choose to eat here, use caution. We had eaten in multiple other Warns and local places without problem. We will not eat here again.

Absolutely fabulous. The staff, food, taste, how it looks, all was really amazing. On top of that the price is very fair. the menu has good number of items so the cook can focus on the quality instead of quantity. Wish i could stay in Ubud longer.

A hidden gem in one of the alleys of central Ubud. I was curious about the blue rice set. Nice taste. Balinese ambiance of the eatery. Gets full easily during busy hours.

A large warung with lots of tables! Very friendly and attentive staff who promptly direct you to your table. The food was absolutely delicious, packed full of flavour and the portions were large. Beautifully decorated warung garden and a relaxing atmosphere.

Great Indonesian food and good price. They have many vegetarian and non-vegetarian selections. My favourite dish was Gado-Gado and Nasi Campur with blue rice. I tried their deep fried duck as well and it was excellent and I could eat them all day. The staff were friendly and attentive. At the end, they also gifted us the lucky bracelet which was a great memory for me and my friend! This place can be busy and I suggest you coming early to secure a table. Highly recommended.

Amazing local restaurant with an affordable price in Ubud. I like how they set up a restaurant in a traditional Balinese house. The food was awesome. I think this is a Moslem friendly restaurant, they don't have pork in the menu.

One of the best warungs from Bali. Very nice atmosphere, kind staff and delicious food. Great value for the money. We really recommend to try the Indonesian food, it is very tasty, maybe one of the best from our one month trip in Bali. Totally worth the experience!!

Beautiful decor. A truly authentic local feel. There are choices of seats at tables with chairs or on cushions on the floor. Lovely staff, and SPECTACULAR food at extremely reasonable prices. We had the Nasi Campur, Chicken Satay, and two other dishes, and it turned out to be quite a lot of food for 2 people, as the portions were generous and the quality of it all was fantastic. We've been twice already and plan to return again soon once back in Ubud. Highly recommended!

The best place to indulge in the delectable flavors of Indonesian cuisine is undoubtedly in Ubud. During our four-day stay in this enchanting town, we found ourselves returning to one particular restaurant three times. The combination of its mouthwatering dishes, affordable prices, and serene ambiance made it an irresistible choice. Stepping into this hidden gem, we were immediately captivated by its peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. The restaurant exuded a sense of calmness, creating the perfect setting for an enjoyable dining experience. The soft, soothing background music added an extra layer of relaxation to the already serene ambiance. Now, let's talk about the food. Each visit to the restaurant was a delightful culinary adventure. The menu showcased a wide array of authentic Indonesian dishes, prepared with utmost care and attention to detail. The tantalizing aromas wafting from the kitchen ignited our appetites, and we eagerly sampled a variety of mouthwatering delicacies. From fragrant nasi goreng to succulent satay skewers, every dish we tried was bursting with flavors that transported us to the vibrant streets of Indonesia. The traditional spices and fresh ingredients used in their preparations elevated the taste to another level. It was evident that the chefs put their heart and soul into each plate, ensuring an unforgettable gastronomic experience. In addition to the impeccable taste, what truly impressed us was the affordability of the meals. Despite the extraordinary quality and generous portions, the prices remained incredibly reasonable. This made it all the more appealing for us to indulge in the delicious Indonesian fare without worrying about breaking the bank. To sum it up, this restaurant in Ubud is undoubtedly the best place to savor authentic Indonesian cuisine. With its tranquil atmosphere, delightful flavors, and budget-friendly prices, it provided us with an unforgettable dining experience. If you find yourself in Ubud, be sure to visit this culinary haven to embark on a gastronomic journey that will leave you craving for more.

Interior of the place really gives a Bali / local vibes. There’s a good amount of platform seats where customers just sit on a cushion and eat. Great place to get local food, very beautifully plated / displayed, there’s a huge variety of types of food in a single dish too! Queue can be long but it was definitely worth it :)

Came here because of high reviews. Food and drinks were sub-par but ambiance was interesting as you could sit on the floor or a regular table. Toilets didn’t allow shoes but it didn’t feel clean enough for my to comfortably use the restroom. Drinks: ordered some fresh pineapple juices and it tasted like water. Overall I’d recommend to eat somewhere else.

This place is perfect. We ordered our first food home, it was beautifully served, so we went to the restaurant. I am delighted with this place. Delicious food and polite service. I recommend.

Probably one of the best, traditional food experiences we had in Ubud so far. Amazing food (many vegetarian options as well), great service, wonderful location and surrounding. For dinner, plan to go early as the waiting times can be long. They don’t take reservations, so you need to wait in line. Totally worth it though.

This place is awesome! We were a bit later to the restaurant but they were very welcoming (recommend for 6 or 7pm). Setting is in this temple/courtyard area which is cool and lots of floor seats with cushions which was a bit different. Food was unreal, we shared loads of small plates. Lovely woman served us :)
