I travel to bali for nearly two decades. Every year i try new restaurants and locations. Friends told about this hidden place named VELVET in ubud, so we went there. We had nachos filled chicken and a fish meal. Honestl y i forgot the name, but i still remember the taste. I know a few mexican restaurants around kuta, seminyak and canggu, but this one is best. Great taste and attention to details. Higly recommended.

Our favorite restaurant in Bali as a couple. Actually, this is probably our favorite restaurant that we've tried in the world. They treat you like royalty. The food isn't anything like what we are while living in Mexico, it's so much better! The flavors are uniquely fantastic and every dish each time we've eaten here (we've tried most of the menu) has been a pleasant surprise. We try to go at least a couple times a month.

Interesting place. Open space with a somewhat decadent decor. The food was good with a great presentation, but we felt that it was a bit basic in taste. The pork belly was crisp but lukewarm and the mash was bland. It fills the eyes more than your taste buds. Perhaps the Mexican dishes are better since it was a Mexican place and we went with not so Mexican dishes.

This is becoming one of our favorite restaurants in Ubud! Soothing and luxurious atmosphere, very delicious food, decent prices, and top notch service. We just keep coming back.

EXCELLENT FOOD IN A BEAUTIFUL PLACE WITH GREAT ATMOSPHERE!!! This hidden gem is truly a must-go!! The food and cocktails are fantastic - some of the best weโ€˜ve ever had. To be honest, I usually donโ€™t like mexican food that much.. But I had no clue that mexican (or Balexican as I learned from the mexican chef:) dishes can be so yummy and not heavy at all!! The innovative food was presented super nicely and tasted just excellent. We loved the tacos!! But also the mains were awesome.. I had โ€žStarcrush Loversโ€œ with prawns and fresh herbs, my man had a Sirloin Steak and a chocolate cake from heaven:))) I highly recommend it to all who like delicious, fresh food with very attentive service in a unique beautiful place with great atmosphere. On top of all, very reasonable prices for very high quality!!

Food was an interesting take on Mexican & Peruvian. We tried the ceviche and fish tacos. Vibe is plush and unique, a cool place to grab a margarita or two (which we did, of course).

So far, one of the greatest hosts in Ubud. Everyone was super friendly and made the dining experience wonderful. The decor, design and aesthetic are very opulent, yet the venue still manages to extend a sense of welcoming and comfort. The menu is easy to navigate and the food choices are authentic and appropriate to what you'd expect. We were very pleased with the taste, but could have done with a little more on the side of quantity. The dessert we ordered did wonders for one of us and left the other unimpressed - take that as you will. We were brought two complimentary hors d'oeuvres and we think they were trying to win us over. They did.

Lovely friendly owners and staff. Quality ingredients, fresh avocado, real buffalo mozzarella. Excellent local Bali organic wine too.
