Pro's The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Location is perfect for walking around Ubud & only 10 mins away from Monkey Forest or the Palace. There's loads of restaurants & coffee shops within 2 mins in every direction. There's even a Starbucks directly across the road if you prefer it. Beds were super comfortable & the sheets were clean. Breakfast was good, particularly the omelette, which my wife said was as good as she'd had in any hotel. There are three different options 1) American Breakfast (bacon, eggs & toast) 2) Local Breakfast - rice or noodles & vegetables 3) Choice of pancake. We had the American & Local on the first day & then had the banana pancake. The pancake was tasty - but a bit doughy /underdone. Con's Rooms & stairs needs to be cleaned better. As you can see from our pictures - there were multiple spider webs, bugs & bagworms (moths) that just needed to be hoovered up, but were not cleaned throughout. There was also a mouse head and accompanying insects on the stairs on the 1st day that was not swept away throughout our stay. WiFi is pretty poor. The electricity went once and the water twice during our 4 night stay and we saw mice/rats around the pool area on 2 separate occasions. The Aircon is pretty loud. The pro for the location means you will hear music/noise from surrounding restaurants/bars, but nothing is open late, so it shouldn't disturb your sleep unless you go to bed super early. Overall, I think the rooms need some TLC, so I don't think I would stay here again. It wasn't worth what we paid for it.

Nice and clean rooms. Hotel is little small, but well managed. Rooms/cottages are well maintained and provide village hut view. They provide all amenities like water bottle, hair dryer, refrigerator bath robes etc.. This hotel has excellent bathroom with bath tub. They can provide mire indian veg options for breakfast. Overall experience 4/5

No fuss property with great location. The staff tries to sell you taxi rides at exorbitant prices though, donโ€™t take it from them. breakfast included with stay is below average. For the money paid itโ€™s worth it simply because of location.

Beautiful place to stay. Pool is deep (7feet-ish). Staff is nice and welcoming. Toilet is big, with a nice bathtub. However the bidet sucks. Water is spread thin, couple that with high pressure, it could bruise your privates.

Great location halfway between monkey forest and centre of town. Everything you want in Ubud close by just a few minutes walk. Nice little sanctuary with pool and gardens and great value. Room had a kettle, TV, fridge, with breakfast included. Would stay again for sure.

Me with my husband and child recently stayed at this hotel for two nights, and unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. The only positive aspect we can mention is its convenient location. However, the drawbacks we encountered greatly overshadowed any benefits. First and foremost, the exorbitant price we paid for a single night's stay was utterly unjustifiable. For a staggering 1.4 million IDR, per night i.e. 2.8 million for two nights stay, we expected top-notch service and amenities. Regrettably, the reality was quite the opposite. Basic services, like an intercom in the room, were glaringly absent, forcing us to make countless trips to the reception for even the simplest requests. This lack of convenience was an inconvenience we hadn't anticipated. The condition of the rooms was another significant letdown. Dampness permeated the atmosphere, leaving a musty odor that made the stay uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the pool was far from inviting, with murky water that made it seem neglected and unsanitary. Our interactions with the hotel staff, particularly the manager, further soured our stay. They displayed a complete lack of manners and were unhelpful when we needed assistance, especially during our initial confusion with the Balinese currency. Comparing our experience with other hotels in Ubud, it became evident that the exorbitant charges did not match the quality of service provided. We even spent a night at Jati Cottage, a much better property, which highlighted the stark contrast between a well-managed hotel and the disappointment we faced here. Overall, our stay was a disheartening and frustrating experience. We cannot recommend this hotel beyond a single star, solely due to its convenient location. If you seek a pleasant stay in Ubud, there are plenty of far superior options available that offer better services at more reasonable prices.

SUPERB HOTEL & STAFF! The hotel is beautiful. It is very clean & tidy & the staff are all wonderful, very friendly & helpful. The room we had (Room 92) was excellent. Everything worked as it should, there was always lots of hot water available & the room was cleaned very well every day. The hotel is small & boutique style & that's why we chose it. The gardens & pool areas are well maintained, cleaned, swept & tidied throughout the day. The hotel has free wifi which worked really well throughout the hotel, the only black spot for wifi was in the bathroom area of our room. Breakfast is very, very good with lots to choose from each day & fresh eggs cooked to your liking. The reception staff sorted out everything we needed from collection at Denpasar Airport upon arrival, motorcycle hire, tour recommendations & transport back to Denpasar for our flight home. There is nothing to fault here & if I was to stay in Ubud again this would be my first choice hotel! Thank you to all the staff at Lumbung Sari Hotel for making our stay so pleasant.

A great value as we got last minute for less than 50E. Large rooms in authentic buildings, with traditional painted doors! Comfy bed and linen, clean, hudge bathroom with thub & shower, large tv selection and very quiet! The Breakfast was very tasty, both European &local selection, on the pool side! Helpfull staff everywhere. Only one downgrade: I appreciate the traditional door, but there is on market some insulation band to stop mosquitos to go into the room.

Nice , calm and cozy hotel. Had a very comfortable stay. Staff is very polite and friendly. Rooms are super clean and spacious, attached with a huge bathroom. Small pool in their premises. They serve nice variety breakfast.Very convenient to walk till Ubud market, Sacred monkey forest, Saraswati temple, Ubud palace, all of them at walking distance. Note--If requested, the hotel arranges for bikes, cabs, trips and speed boat tickets, but I felt they were all priced high. I got some decent deals from the tourist help shops located just walking distance from the hotel.

We received a complimentary upgrade to a more spacious room with a pool view. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The bed was very large, which was great! However, the bathroom was not very clean in my opinion. There was lime and there was no steam vent. There were some towels missing (floor and for hands). We did not try the breakfast because there was not enough space and there was no staff on site. The breakfast place was not inviting.

A Hidden Gem. Room 4* Staff 5* (true baliness) Location 5* Pool 4* Beware no parking available if you coming with car. You have to park on road. Hotel staff was great, very hospitable and friendly Walk to minimart 2 min Walk to pharmacy 2 min Walk to monkey forest 15-20 min. Walk to saraswati temple 10-15 min. Walk to ubud market 10 min. Walk to Ganesha Indian food 10 min Walk to Bollywood Indian food 10 min Prime location. Everything is at stone throwaway distance. Nearby minimart, cafe, pharmacy, shopping, and many restaurants. I stayed in Superior and standard both rooms. The floor could be bit slippery. The bed of standard room is not so great. The bed in superior room is comfortable and good. Standard room have big bathroom. Superior room have awkward bathroom. I really did not like how the commode was placed. It was bit awkward. Since it is in heart of nature expect mosquitoes and spiders. Although they do provide mosquito killer. They also provide day trip taxi service like any other Hotel. Overall I would highly recommend this place.

The best place to stay in Ubud! We stayed in a standard room for two nights and then moved to a deluxe room to stay longer for three nights. The rooms are clean and very well maintained. The hotel is very central but quiet, breakfast is good and what makes this place so special is the people that work here. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating, they make you feel right at home. What an amazing time, weโ€™ll be back!

Staff is nice and willing to help. Location while not being in the middle of Uluwatu, it's still a 20min motorbike from everything. The traditional balinese style for the rooms is cute. The rooms are very basic and rustic. The rooms could use a bit more love and attention. Since the bathroom is outdoor, there are many bugs and spiders. Which is understandable considering it is an open bathroom. However, there were many many big spider nets that indicated that they did not clean it in many weeks. It could have been mitigated in a better way if the cleaning was a bit more thorough. No safety box, no small towels (only big shower towels), etc.

Amazing place! Comfortable bed, clean, beautiful pool, tasty breakfast and 5-star staff! Everyone was extremely nice! Juliana, Putu and everybody. I booked initially for 2 days and ended up staying for 1 week. Great location, close to the Monkey Forest. Internet is pretty good to work as well.

This is beautiful place to stay. Very near to monkey forest, ubud palace, ubud market, ridge walk. But outside the hotel is a narrow lane with lots of traffic in day time. Otherwise this property is in prime location. I loved this.๐Ÿ‘โค๏ธ Rooms are beautiful and amenities also are good๐Ÿ‘ And the hotel staff there is very helpful and smiling all the time. Nice people๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘Œโค๏ธ

Would recommend this hotel to explore Ubud for a few days, the hotel helped organise transport from the airport, to the ferry & a tour for the day which was all reliable. All of the staff were friendly & super helpful. The bed was very comfortable in the room & the freshly cooked breakfast was lovely!

My room has no working TV. The toilet for whatever reason was sit up high on the ceramic but there was not space for my feet to rest on while I am sitting on the toilet so my feet just dangled. I got upgraded to supposedly better room instead I feel like it was more of a downgrade. The steps up to my rooms was extra steep and it always wet from the dripping air conditioner unit so I have to be extra careful walking up and down from the steep steps. My room was small and I can't enjoy the space due to TV no working. It also poorly placed. I can't even see the TV from my bed which is only place I can watch TV is from my bed. The TV is on the far right and it was blocked by the mosquitoes curtain which I never use. The corner of the drape from the romantic looking mosquitoes net doesn't help. The pool is quite small. Lots of mosquitoes all around the place. It was a small hidden resort. I got so many mosquitoes bites I ended up stay away from the resort. It is off from main street which I enjoy walimg around and eat at a nice Balinese restaurant across from the place near Starbucks. Not sure if I will stay there again if I were to visit Ubud.

I highly recommend this hotel. We stayed here for 3 weeks and had really amazing service. The hotel accommodated us in so much more ways then we couldโ€™ve hoped for. They most surely went the extra mile and made sure we had the best time in Bali.

Had an awesome experience staying at Lumbung Sari. Loved the staff, services and rooms. The property is small but very beautiful. Made in traditional Balinese style the resort felt like a home away from home for us. Breakfast is good. They provide scooter rentals at good price. Located in prime area it is easy to explore Ubud town from here. Will definitely come back here.

Our favourite accommodation in Ubud, 7 times or so staying here as of Aug 2022. Centrally located, friendly and helpful staffs, clean & spacious room, with nice little pool, with alfresco breakfast overlooking the pool. However, you can be a bit disturbed by the next door pub with live band straining their voice away. We'll definitely be back.

Quiet and relaxing hotel surrounded by nature with warming staff and close to the center of Ubud. Limited options of breakfast, but the selected dishes of breakfast are yummy though. Juice is just ok. No ice here. Rooms are well maintained and be aware of a mosquito in a room but they offer an electric indoor mosquito killer.
