Wonderful hotel. Staff are so helpful and friendly. The room is spacious, very clean, has everything you need. Bed & pillows are comfy. Location is also great. We were able to walk to monkey forest & water palace. Really great restaurants around also walking distance. Just an overall well taken care of hotel! I would recommend this place to anyone. Also the pool is on the main floor. No one works there due to Covid so you have to sometimes have to shuffle around some towels for a seat. But it’s not a big deal.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, so I hate having to write a negative review and advising you to stay elsewhere. Lavish property, mostly well designed, yet crippled by terrible choices. Loud live music plays in the lobby restaurant to midnight - you can forget about sleeping or even relaxing in your room. Even when the hotel stops playing music, the bars next door keep loud music going until 1 or 2am. There is simply no quiet at this hotel. Forget about sleeping in, because the rooms don’t have proper blackout blinds. The breakfast buffet is extremely basic (cereal, bread, fruit), with a good accompanying menu of hot items - but they only let you get one single item off that menu. It’s a very expensive hotel; they shouldn’t be counting my breakfast bagels or scoops of rice! The wifi is slow and cuts in and out, and the air conditioning struggles to keep up with Bali’s weather. It can’t maintain comfortable temperatures until late evening. You can control it - to a point - but the system is temperature-limited so you can’t just leave it running; it will turn itself off once it decides the room is cold enough, and you can’t force it to go any colder, you just have to wait until the system decides it’s warm enough in the room to come back on. At full power the room never became a comfortable temperature; I had to go into the grocery store and pharmacy to feel comfortable. So even though the staff was fantastic, I just can’t recommend the hotel because it was an expensive, large beautiful room with non stop light, noise and heat.

A very pleasant hotel in Ubud. Rooms are very spacious and comfy. Huge beds and a good sized balcony. All very clean and the bathroom is wonderful, with huge sinks, beautiful Bathtub and shower and a separate toilet room. The location is great, very close to a number of excellent restaurants and bars and some of the main temples in town as well as the monkey forest and plenty of shops. There is a good laundrette a short walk down the road. Breakfast buffet was limited but tasty and food to order there was nice. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Ubud.

Possibly the best hotel room I have ever stayed in. Amazing bed with sheer curtains, 4 extra long pillows. A shower room and an outdoor shower (and a slightly small bath). I think we had the entire top floor to ourselves, but possibly not, all the rooms are very well spaced. No views but it was an amazing cocoon after a hard day eating drinking and having fun around Ubud. Which is right outside your front door. Walking distance to monkey Forest and many restaurants. We had a Firefly in our room one night and monkeys outside the next morning. Crazy! What else can I say... The staff are very accommodating and always friendly. I walk through the lobby and feel better about the world. 2 restaurants were closed, the mountain view one is pretty special, I hope they can open that soon. The second restaurant at the front appears to be almost open.

We loved our stay here! I’ve been to Ubud many times and the location is amazing when you want to explore and be in the center. Still quiet. Amazing friendly staff. We got a huge room with balcony, simply beautiful. Pool is amazing. Food wise there are better places all around.

All staff are kind as other Balinese. Room are very nice. Rooftop Villa is also worth try. You can enjoy night sky in your villa. All my family are satisfied with breakfast and afternoon tea. On the ground floor, there are great restaurant Maluku. If you arrived at night, you don't need to go out. If you want walk, just go out to enjoy nightlife. Only downside of the hotel is traffic in the morning. In my case, it took an hour to get out of the street by taxi.

Amazing hotel with great facilities: amazing pool, free breakfast in the morning with buffet style options, free snacks 4-5pm, a great rooftop view and spa etc. Decent sized hotel rooms with western style facilities. There is a powerful hair blow dryer in the bathroom and laundry capacities. Housekeeping done daily. There are two lifts in the hotel and two stair cases. The hotel has 4 floors with a rooftop and rooftop villa rooms.

We picked this hotel as we needed a full board or all-inclusive hotel as part of our tui holiday in Bali. We had never visited Bali before, and being a diabetic needed somewhere, where we can get food quickly if required. The hotel is small and quiet with a swimming pool at the back. There are 3 restaurants and a roof top bar ( only open till 18:00). The food is excellent, although the menu is limited. We found the portion sizes are small, so if you are a hungry hungry hippo then you need to possibly eat elsewhere. Our room was very comfortable with plenty of seating. There is an empty mini fridge which we filled with cans from across the road. Only had 2 small towels so it's recommended that you use the pool towels as an option. Else you will need to drip dry or pack a towel. Beds are massive and hard to sleep on. We have asked guess relations for a mattress topper.

Fantastic hotel. Friendly staff. Good good. Big comfortable bed. Great shower. What more do you need? Also in a great location in Ubud for bars and restaurants - is really quiet at nighttime despite proximity to bars etc would definitely return. ❤️❤️❤️

Amazing stay last week in this hotel. The staff are so lovely honestly don’t think I have met nicer people than in Bali. The location is perfect also. The rooms are lovely and big a little dark but that’s just the lay out of the hotel it’s very easy to forget. The pool area was nice and well kept. I would not think this hotel was a 3 star hotel I would say more 4 star and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this area.

We loved the decor and style of the hotel, and especially the indoor swimming pool which was super quiet! our room was beautiful and the staff had taken care to leave us rose petals on the bed and in the bath as it was our honeymoon :) the price was amazing (we booked last minute) and we loved the outdoor terrace. We also had an amazing facial and massage in the spa. The hotel also arranged our taxi back to Seminyak. the staff were brilliant! The hotel is located in the centre of Ubud making it super easy to visit the local attractions. We were also given a welcome drink. We hadn’t paid for breakfast but as I only ate a very small portion they only charged me for a kid’s portion which was very kind :) We would have liked the swimming pool to be open a bit later and the signage around the hotel could be better, but otherwise no complaints at all - great value.

We spent one night here. It’s a really nice hotel. Two great pools, functional gym, great spa and very friendly staff. Bed was super comfy and it was very quiet. Enjoyed the colonial style architecture as well. Will stay again if we are ever near Ubud.

This is a beautiful hotel, large rooms, nice beds and great breakfast! Had a great massage& facial. In addition it is close to great shopping and restaurants. Easy tours from here and the weather is cooler than by the sea! Staff are wonderful and responsive! Definitely recommend and would stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Ubud Village Hotel in April 2018. The staff are friendly and attentive, and they were patient and helpful with our young nieces and nephews! Breakfast is great (a la carte and buffet options) and the rooms are spacious and pleasant, with a nice Balinese feel. Cleaning is to a high standard and beds are large and comfortable. The swimming pool and other facilities were good too. The location is perfect and we felt the overall offering was excellent value. Note that the restaurant food is quite basic and the cocktails aren't great (but not bad for Bali). The big downside of our room was it had almost no natural light because there was another building up against our balcony and shadowing it. When we visit again, we will definitely request a room with a balcony or window facing a different direction to get more light. This is the main point that could have improved an already great stay.

Loved staying here. A wonderful location, in amongst local amenities and very close to the Monkey Forest. The staff were so polite and couldn’t do enough to help us. The hotel itself is beautiful - the rooftop terrace is wonderful and the pool is relatively small but very peaceful. The breakfast and food were lovely. I’d love to come back again some time on the future.

Lovely hotel, rooms & staff but lacks massively on bars. There's a pool bar during the day, on a night the only option is to sit in the restaurant. Alcohol isn't everything but it's nice to relax & socialise on an evening with a drink.

It's a pleasant place. Rooms are super clean and big. A lot of storage to put your clothes. Nice sitting area, big bathroom, nice shower and large bathtub. A beautiful touch of traditional Indonesian decor throughout. Staffs are super friendly and smiling. Location is great for shopping, night market and restaurants. Rooftop patio bar with a nice view. The only tiny thing is hard to charge your electronic devices if you have electronic plugs from North America. No slippers provided is a tiny flaw. Hotel looks small from outside but it is big inside. Their breakfast was great. All the staffs treat you so well at the breakfast. Strongly recommend this place and I would stay there again if I come back to Bali.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We booked the junior suite it was spacious but minimal view. The bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi signal was consistently poor. breakfast was simple but satisfactory. Come with a modest buffet along with the option to order a freshly cooked hot breakfast. The hotel's location was superb, with numerous local restaurants, cafes, massage parlors, and bars just steps away from the doorstep. Additionally, it was only a short 10-12 minute walk to the Monkey Forest. Given our experience, we would certainly choose to stay here again.

We just spent 4 days at the Ubud Village Hotel. The staff were all lovely and extremely friendly. The room on the first floor was good with the easy option of walking rather than waiting for the lift. The bed was comfy, nice linen with free water each day. The wi-fi worked throughout the hotel even laying by 1 of 2 pools. The breakfast was simply but sufficient providing a modest buffet and the option to order a cooked hot breakfast as well. The location was great to walk out the door and have local restaurants, cafes, massage shops and bars near by. It’s also only a 10-12 min walk to Monkey Forest. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall stay was good. The location is ideal. Staff was very friendly n helpful. Only disappointment was the breakfast which was really really bad. Tried the nasi goreng but when i asked for sambal chilli, they say that its not available. Can you imagine no sambal in Bali???? Its like saying no Tum Yam Kung in Thailand. What a joke. The morning coffee was also horrible . Basically food there is bad.

We have just arrived for a week’s stay I’ll continue this review as we go but so far we have had a small bite to eat, the hotel is nestled in the centre of town great for the shopperholics, but don’t let this turn some off when you walk through the front doors of the Ubud Village Hotel you enter another realm of relaxation and quietness… Rooms are very comfortable and spacious breakfast was nothing short of amazing

The hotel located at the centre of Ubud city which is very strategic to visit around easily by walking. We didn’t used the pool to relax as we had some outdoor plans but it seems nice to rest! We stayed for 2 days 2 nights and the room is very big with enough space. Breakfast was nice and we had a nice table beside the pool. Our room was at the back so we had no problem at night due to the on going live music at the hotel restaurant, the bar next door or the big clubs around.

This is 4 star hotel but rooms were great .. big bath tub , staffs are greatlocation is superb with lots of cafes restaurant near by … breakfast options are limited but you can choose one premium option from menu which is more than sufficient.. pool view with breakfast just amazing … loved our stay

Hotel was amazing for price and location! We had a rooftop room that was lovely. Breakfast was delicious. We got deep tissue massages which were fantastic and a great price! Then afterwards they bring you tea and allow you to relax on the balcony. Right in the heart of Ubud so while convenient for walking to shops & restaurants - it can be difficult when driving places due to traffic. Also keep in mind due to the nightlife it can be loud but not too late. Very friendly staff would definitely recommend.

The staff here are excellent - accommodating and very friendly. The rooms are huge with very comfortable beds. There's also a wonderful roof top terrace that serves fantastic afternoon tea 4-5pm every day - and it's free! Breakfast had a small cold buffet alongside a full menu to order hot from. The pool is nice and private but did get busy as its quite a small area - this didn't bother us as we were only there for 4 days and spent most of the time exploring Ubud. You won't get better location - walking distance from the monkey forest, Palace and Campuhan. Tons of restaurants and bars nearly. Ideally situated for those who want to explore the area.

Nice tea hour between 16-17 pm. You can enjoy the tea or coffee in the hotel rooftop. This is a big advantage. Great location. Hotel had termites so our room was full of them. Can recommend only for 2 nights.

Hotel overall was great experience. We enjoyed the pool, restaurant has good food, coffee was great, service was awesome. There is a bar next door that played exceptionally loud music. We were on the top floor in a villa suite and the music unfortunately made it difficult to sleep. We do sleep early around 9-10pm and that seems to be when party was starting. Wife wishes the mattress was softer but I enjoyed a firm bed. Villa experience overall was everything we were hoping for, we would stay here again.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful, we stayed here for three nights whilst in Bali for a week to split our trip between two locations. We were warmly greeted by the staff who checked us in and provided us a drink whilst we waited for the room to be ready (we did arrive a little before check in time). They also gave us information about the hotel facilities and useful times. We were shown to our room and helped with our luggage. The room was gorgeous, so spacious, well looked after and clean. The bathroom had a separate bath and shower. The hotel has two swimming pools, a roof top bar, a restaurant and a games room which we used whilst staying. They also have spa facilities which we did not use ourselves. Breakfast was also amazing - there was a cooked menu where you could order something as well as a buffet style continental option which you could help yourself to. This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in and would recommend to anyone for a stay.

Nice staff throughout the hotel, great central location if that’s what you’re after - close to many monuments and cheap restaurants. Rooms were large (we were in a junior suite) and fairly modern, spacious bathroom with big bath tub and waterfall shower. unfortunately there was a musty smell in the room which leads me onto the whole vibe of this hotel.. our room and the hotel itself a bit dark and tired, a lot of it needed repainting when we visited especially when looking out your balcony view .. if you want somewhere with a great view this isn’t the one. (maybe unless you go for the rooftop villa for extra £££) swimming pool on the main floor is a nice place but backdropped by a large grey wall they’ve attempted to cover with plants, the only place with a good view in this hotel is the rooftop bar (advertised all over their website etc) which was shut when we were there sadly. Breakfast isn’t a usual buffet style, pastries and such you chose yourself from buffet but main courses are off a menu - which was fine as the breakfasts always came out hot and tasted good.

The room we had is not in new conditions but was so spacious that we had enjoyed our stay there. The staff were all smiling and friendly which made our stay a pleasant one, especially the breakfast crew who were so accommodating and active in fulfilling the guests needs. Location of the hotel is fantastic, with marts, convenience store, eating places, attraction areas all around us. Our room we're mostly equipped with two pin socket plugs. Needed to buy a two pin plug converter from a nearby mart.

One of the best hotel in Ubud. Staff is very helpful. They will note down your food allergies n will do best to provide u the best food. I have gluten allergies, they have arranged special, freshly made breakfast every day considering my allergies. Also they have complementary tea and snacks at rooftop in evening. I was not very keen to go there considering all snacks will have gluten, but when I go there, they surprised me with special gluten free snacks- corn chips n rice paper roll. Very amazing. In future if I got chance to visit to Bali, I will definitely stay at same place. Loved it!

Location in the centre of Ubud with lots of restaurants and cafes within walking distance plus the Monkey Forest is just down the road. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the pool was good. Rooms and the hotel in general were clean. Downsides are the rooms get no natural sunlight and the hotel is a little dated. The included breakfast was ok but not amazing and the options on the in room TV were limited. In general really enjoyed our stay in this hotel.

  • 5/5 M P. 4 years ago on Google
Lovely hotel in a brilliant location. Tons of restaurants and bars at the door step and Ubud market only a 10 min walk away. Room was clean and spacious. It also includes a mosquito repellent spray which was needed during those rainy days. The staff were amazing and very accommodating. It was a lovely touch being received by the hotel staff by name, as they knew we were due to arrive that evening. The hotel offers afternoon tea which is in a cute rooftop bar with views of the mountains. Breakfast was also very good, with a choice of a cooked breakfast with a selection of continental breakfast items. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Ubud as it is great hub to explore Ubud and the surrounding areas, also very reasonably priced.

We are here 6 nights, staying here till we find long term villa. First of all we loved the staff here, they are vey sincere. Secondly excellent wifi, as we work online it is important for us. Thirdly, it is clean, fresh and cozy. They upgraded our room to the biggest one, it as awesome. Fourth the bathtube, it is bug and a lot of hot water) everyday we have bath there) Fifth the houskeeping, they clean everyday) but we give them tips 25K, ewch time) it is 1,5$. The room itself is 400K, the room is great for the price. We stay here two adults and 2 children under 12) One more thing the location, it is located in the center, it is easy to get somewhere. But, in the evenings many cafes close early, so we order food to the room through app Gojek.

A very good and cozy hotel in Ubud. The staffs are very nice, patient, and kind. The room is clean and spacious. The location is superb, it is really close to minimarket and there are a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. Would love to stay here again next time we go to Ubud and definitely will recommend this hotel to my friend and family
