Wonderful resort hotel right in the heart of Ubud. Friendly staff. Great food. Nice pool. Lush grounds. Clean, spacious rooms. It might not โ€œwowโ€ you compared to so other high end hotels in the area that are set in valley vistas. But Komaneka is a very well run hotel with exceptional service.

Komaneka at Monkey Forest resort was the perfect representation of the Bali hospitality. Every person knows your name and what you like. The hospitality is so thoughtful, genuine and customized. They treat you like family and they mean it. We have traveled to many countries around the world but this one will remain very memorable and will be one of the top experiences. Amazing food and beautiful natural landscape. They even did a 3AM pharmacy run for my son since he fell sick on the last day and there was genuine care. My son especially created some very special bonds that he will remember for life. We will be back soon. Thatโ€™s for sure.

The Komaneka at Monkey Forest is a quality resort well situated on Monkey Forest Road. Its close to bars, shops, restaurants, a short walk to the Markets and Ubud Palace in one direction and the Monkey Forest in the other. I booked a Pool Villa, so we had our own private villa with private infinity pool. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable and clean. The bathrooms we well designed, well appointed and clean with separate shower and a large bath. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and they make it a point to know all the guests names. Wistri at the reception ensured we were well looked after. Breakfast and afternoon tea were culinary delights. Don't miss afternoon tea every afternoon with an impressive selection of traditional swwets and pastries. Definitely recommend staying here.

This place is amazing. Perfectly placed in the middle of everything. They have incredible service and the rooms are lovely. Great AC, mini fridge, spacious bathrooms, comfy beds. Cute little pool and right near the main entry to monkey forest. The monkeys will come to the hotel at night so be careful. They will steal possessions to try to ransom them for food. Massage on-site, nightly show near restaurant, good breakfast. 5 stars!

We had an enjoyable 3 night stay at Komaneka Monkey Forest. The hotel is peaceful and tranquil with lots of surrounding nature and greenery. Our room and the available facilities were also clean and lovely. Location wise, it was also convenient and accessible on-foot to most parts of downtown Ubud. Would also like to specially mention the amazing service provided by the staff who were extremely proactive, helpful and friendly throughout our stay! Would highly recommend to anyone staying near Monkey Forest in Ubud.

We had a wonderful 5 nights stay at Komaneka Monkey Forrest and a big shout out to the entire team for making our trip a memorable and a pleasant stay. Location wise it's a convenient location right in the middle of Ubud town and easy to get around. We have stayed at different Ubud properties and we tend to avoid properties in Ubud town as it can get busy but this property was peaceful and quiet even though it's in the middle of town and very convenient if you want to stay in town area. This is our second stay at a Komaneka property and we love their focus on local arts and culture which is displayed all across the properties from the paintings from local painters to the sculptures and design of the rooms. Such a great boutique property group and we love what they are doing to promote local arts. We stayed in a suite room which was very spacious, good layout and decorated tastefully. Even though this is their oldest property we didn't feel it's tired. Service in the resort is where I think Komaneka stands out, all the staffs from front desk to restaurant staff to gardeners all have been trained very well and it shows in the smiles you get as you walk by to the greetings by your name. That is simply put FS, Aman or Ritz Carlton standards and you do get spoiled by attentive and warm service all throughout our stay. Kudos to the Komaneka management team for keeping the service standard in such high standards. Food at the restaurant is of high standard and al carte breakfast has a wide variety of dishes and comes in freshly cooked to order. Afternoon tea is a everyday treat and it is complimentary, which is again a added treat. For hotels in this mid price range, Komaneka stands out with their dedication to local arts, culture, standards and service and we just love what they are doing.

Great customer service, all the staff are very kind and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and the staff were prompt with cleaning. The only thing I would note is that it would be great to see more dedicated vegan options on the menu. If more vegan options are added I would love to come back!

We had an amazing sty at the Komaneka Monkey Forest. We stayed there for 5 nights on our honeymoon and had a great experience. The breakfast was excellent. The staff really nice. Our villa was so beautifull with the view on the monkey forest. We also had the visit of monkeys on our front door. In the mornings we were able to attend a yoga class for free. As we were travelling for our honeymoon, we also got some gifts in our room. It was an incredible stay!

This has been THE BEST hotel experience I have had. Every one of the staff remembers our names and delivered world-class services, each time without fail. Everyone goes out of their way to ensure that our needs are met. Upon arrival you are greeted with a refreshing welcome drink and are shortly whisked away for a short introduction to the hotel's amenities. Even though my friend and I were slightly late for breakfast, the staff took out orders early and had them delivered - perfectly plated and piping hot/chilled - to our room. Not to sound overly maudlin, but our experience at Komaneka makes it hard leaving Ubud. We will be back! Sending much love to Ade and the entire crew. Highly recommend supporting establishments owned by the Balinese.

We stayed here in the private pool villa room for our honeymoon for 3 nights. my only regret is not staying here longer! we stayed at high end hotels throughout our bali honeymoon and this hotel/villa was by far our favorite one. the perfect balance of class and nature. the food at their restaurant was incredible. the staff was the absolute best. genuinely kind, good hearted people with amazing customer service. We will definitely come back here and their other locations next time weโ€™re in Bali. Suksma

what a great place to stay. Centrally located in Ubud but once you enter the tranquil grounds you would not know you were staying in a town of 1 million people. Small, intimate 5 star luxury with very few rooms so you receive excellent personal service from all staff for whom nothing is too much trouble . Super Spa with treatments , individually cooked meals and service with a smile from each and every member of staff . Highly Recommended .

I absolutely love this resort chain. The rooms have so much space. Big bathrooms.... they provide free bug spray in the room. That was a pleasant surprise. The staff are respectful. Feels very homey.... Also, the breakfast was great! Lots of choices.

This place was fantastic. An oasis within the slight madness of Ubud streets. We had a beautiful quiet peaceful room (104) overlooking a rice field with a nice private pool. Breakfast was really good. (Didnโ€™t have other meals here as there are so many options in Ubud). Staff are genuinely friendly.

This hotel is by far the best hotel Iโ€™ve stayed in. The location is at the centre of Ubud and has all of the best restaurants and entertainment in close proximity. More importantly, the rooms are lovely with extremely friendly staff. Thank you, will highly recommend!

One of the best hotel stays Iโ€™ve ever had! Staff are incredibly attentive and accommodating! They remember the smallest details about you and the reason for your stay. Room was beautiful and constantly kept clean. They would make your room up in the morning and prepare it again in the evening. Hotel amenities were brilliant and breakfast was delicious, spot on every single time! You step out of your hotel and youโ€™re just off a busy street, but the hotel still feels private and quiet. You really get alot for the money you pay! I will definitely be visiting this hotel again!

Fantastic hotel in a really nice Ubud location. My wife and I really enjoyed our time here celebrating our anniversary. The staff knew our names and were all so kind. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and breakfast was fantastic. They have themed dinners that I wish we could have attended but we had dinner reservations the night one was scheduled during our stay. From what I saw, the food looked great and it looked like a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Ubud.

Pool was nice looking over natural forest and towels provided by the pool lounges. Free water and mini cookies, tea coffee. No TV in English, you have to log into your services such as netflix etc. Ensure you log out and change passwords on departure. WiFi provided however my security virus scanner alerted issues and it wasn't deemed safe. We had booked for twin beds and arrived with a king. After asking twice it finally got changed. The 2 mattresses had seen better days, with chunks missing from corners and old. Beds are low to the ground and are like rocks. Staff are friendly. A simple "hello, have a good day"would be nice and not feel like your being interrogated everytime you walk past reception. Food was simply ok not alot of variety and same everyday, dinner served from 7pm, which was too late for us. They provide afternoon tea from 4 to 5. 3 days definitely enough for us. Local restaurants were perfect for food and well priced.

The location is amazing in the middle of jalan monkey forest with many restaurants around. The service is great and the hotel offers many activities to the guest - morning flow yoga in the beautiful gallery is a great way to start. Art and movement! They also offer complementary Balinese offering making and Balinese dance.

Beautiful resort in heart of Ubud. The location is easy to find. The resort has a large outdoor tropical garden that makes the guests feel like really in Bali with balinese architecture and interior. One of the top hotel choice around monkey forest

This is by far the best hotel stay I have ever experienced! The staff are all so friendly and hospitable and will truly go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. I was sick one morning and they brought breakfast and tea to my room and checked on me each day after that. The rooms are beautiful and very clean, indoor/outdoor living without the bugs!! Infinity pool is also wonderful and overlooks trees where we watched monkeys play while we swam. I will definitely be staying here again.

This was my third stay at Komaneka Monkey Forest and as before it was fabulous. The staff are wonderful, the location is very convenient (an oasis in the heart of (now bustling) Ubud, and the room just a joy to stay in. The pool is lovely and very tranquil overlooking a forest gorge. I'll will definitely be back.

We stayed on early April and spent 3 nights at this resort. The staffs are really helpful and eager to help in anyway they can despite not being high season since Bali is just starting to open its border. Service and food are nothing less than excellent. Afternoon tea provides traditional savoury and sweets with option of tea or coffee which we enjoyed daily. They even surprised us with birthday cake and bed decoration when we least expect it. A really nice effort and thank you for everything during our stay. This resort is located just behind art gallery with the same name 'Komaneka' right on Monkey Forest road. No one will expect behind the hustle and bustle of Monkey Forest street, there is still a piece of jungle hidden which can be viewed from the pool in this resort, our room has rice paddies view with troops of monkeys sometimes graze along looking for food due to lack of visitors in Monkey Forest Sanctuary. A lot of dining and shopping options, despite reduced due to pandemic, are still available around the vicinity with relatively short walk distance to Ubud main road. Already looking forward for another visit in the future!

I am giving this 5 stars main due to the staff as they are wonderful, I probably should have given 4 but the staff went above to help my slighty sick wife. They are rated as a 5 star resort, but i would think in reality it is probably a 4 star, but thats okay as that I think is what the prices per night relects Positives Above Excellent Staff, when my wife was a bit sick it was like having family, very caring and supportive Location - right in the middle on monkey forrest road, no getting car in mad traffic to bring you to dinner Breakfast - well cooked and an okay choice, could have a few more opitions Pool - pool is nice and as its a small resort not many people Villas - we had a pool Villa, spacious overlooking the rice fields, apparently the ones overlooking the river are better :( Negative Well its a bit tired (maybe because of covid) but in my humble opinion it could use a senior manager / owner just to go through each room and do a quality check and perhaps a freshen up. In my room I had a list (which the promptly fixed) of things like dirty mozzie nets, dirty cutains, broken USB plug, download not fitted correctly, dirty walls, leaking bath, dirty covers on pool lounge etc etc. These were all easily fixed items and low cost (there were more that they could have fixed which I didn't highlight) but they were items I should haver never noticed as they should have been fixed before I checked, which is why I think it is not a five star

We stayed here for 3 nights and absolute loved this hotel. The hotel staff were so nice and attentive to all our needs and any special requests. The food for breakfast was very delicious. The location is also great to visit the monkey forest, to shop, and to dine in Ubud. Ade the manager was so nice and made sure our stay was as good as possible!

Komaneka Monkey Forest was an amazing beautiful place to stay. Breakfast was freshly prepared every morning and the service was truly amazing. Everyone remembered your first name and made you feel right at home. Special thanks to Ayu whom looked after us every morning in the restaurant and made us feel special. Also a special thanks to the front of house/reception staff that organized cards and a wedding anniversary message made from flower petals on our bed. Couldnโ€™t fault this place and will be back next year :)

Excellent service with professional and friendly staff,we really felt at home. You can tell great care is taken in helping guests live Ubud to the full. Location is very handy to walk around Ubud (15min walk to monkey forest) and the rooms are also great, air conditioning works perfectly and the beds are very comfortable. Only thing that could be improved is the restaurant times, restaurants in Ubud are currently closing very early (around 9pm) so it would help to have the restaurant serve at later times. We easily solved the issue by having room service anyway.

Perfect service. Perfect location. Close to center but quiet. My wife needed gluten free meal and it was considered. The only little drawback was the private pool. Cold and mostly full of leaves. The sun lounger were placed under a tree and the birds used it as a toilet. But this might be specific for our room. At a glance it is really recommendable. We enjoyed the stay
