The hostel is nice, cheap and with a nice pool. We stayed there 8 nights, everything was great until the last day we were at the pool and our roommate came to warn us that the cleaner was looking in our bags. We called the boss because he was trying to steal our money, she apologised and said “if you don’t feel comfortable you can leave” in a rude way. It was our last night so we stayed and left at 7am.

The best hostel in Bali so far!! I was supposed to stay only three nights and I ended staying a week. This place looks like a temple. It’s a calm and beautiful spot to stay. The restaurant has good food, however a bit more expensive than on the street. The tours that they sell are more expensive too. You better buy it in somewhere on the street.

Amazing hostel for the price! Its a very social place as well so if you're solo traveling it's perfect, unless you really want to be utterly solo. The beer and food prices are very reasonable and often times better than nearby restaurants. The staff is helpful and nice. You can book plenty of better trips from reception and rent scooters. My bed is quite comfortable, and while the bathroom isn't spotless, someone does clean it on a daily basis. A guy I met said his bed was like sleeping on a board but I have no idea how many of the beds are like that. Honestly considering the meager price of 50k it's the best hostel I've stayed at so far. I forgot to mention the overall great atmosphere, there is a small coyfish pond at the entrance and a couple of hammocks in a small garden. Really can't recommend this place enough.

I was curious why the ratings were low overall and it seems like this hostel has existed for years and it's probably had a change of management over time. The oldest review on here is 11 years old! I might be wrong, but someone told me this used to be a party hostel, which was really surprising. There are lots of negative ones which don't reflect the current hostel, I feel like they should probably recreate the google maps page for the hostel Anyway, it was a great hostel. Clean, modern dorms, plenty of chillout areas (covered from the rain), lots of plug sockets in the common area, relaxing pool, by the rice fields so it is peaceful. Free water right outside the dorm. It is not really a social hostel, I think this is because the common area is so big, people end up being spaced out so they talk less. I'm sure people will talk to you if you approach them. I didn't mind though because I wanted to be alone during my stay and was glad I could work quietly. The bathrooms need refurbishing (at least in the dorm i had, but I think it's nicer in the more expensive dorm), but for the price you pay it's definitely worth it. It's also nearby lots of yoga and spa places, and places to eat, and you can walk campuhan ridge/paths through the rice terraces. I went to ubud yoga house during my stay which was great with a lovely walk on the way. If you need a restaurant recommendation nearby, warung gauri is cheap with good service :), and lazy cats cafe which has a very cool interior, and is vegetarian.

I initially booked Kampung Sari Gallery & Homestay via Booking and was told that it was fully booked. They relocated me into In Da Lodge. The room was extremely noisy between the people in front in the pool and whatever is happening in the back office/ back kitchen despite all doors and windows closed. Apart from that location is close to the center and wifi was working. I would not recommend for long stay.

The AC in the rooms does almost nothing and the wifi is not good. We came back to our room after an afternoon out to find mouse poop all over our bed. This happened two days in a row.

Although the outside looked nice, the inside of the hostel was pretty average. The bathrooms were seriously old and gross, and the staff was just okay—nothing too friendly. It's a bummer because it seemed like it could be cool, but it ended up being a bit of a letdown with the outdated vibes and not-so-great service. Breakfast is also pretty low average.

I stayed 2 nights in a private and 3 nights in a dorm and I would say that the dorm downstairs was way superior to the private. The dorm was a lot nicer and cleaner and the air con worked vs the private is in an older building so the air, water pressure and lighting was weak. The staff was very kind and breakfast was perfect for me. A quiet easy going hostel but I do wish there was a little kitchen/fridge and maybe some sort of cultural or social activity.

Loved staying here! Can’t express how great it was to be here. Thank you to every single person who welcomed us and took care of us on our stay. Youre all amazing people, so fun kind and friendly. Thank you, we enjoyed meeting you and appreciate all your help and kindness. Very central location, incredible food, and beautiful clean rooms of varying sizes and budgets. We loved being able to meet lots of great people around the pool and felt very comfortable for the entire stay.

This is a nice, peaceful hostel with good gardens. To have a swimming pool at a hostel is quite unique. It is not the most social hostel, I think they could have something like a table tennis table, a fire place or a local walk to encourage interaction outside the rooms. There is a nice walk through the rice fields if you keep going down the road the hostel is on plus some good looking warungs.

The staff is very friendly and the outdoor areas are very nice, as well as the pool. The breakfast is okay but could be better. One main negative point: in the 7 people dorms the mattresses are awful and should be replaced

The service is amazing, the reception helps me all time to organize my plan in Bali and after that as well.

Really enjoyed staying at In Da Lodge, the staff is absolutely fantastic. The place itself is peaceful, tranquil and tucked away. The dorms are new, super clean. Management needs to fix a few minor things - such as making hot water free :D, but otherwise - will definitely be back again! Thank you to Ayu and team for making my stay (extended 3 times while I was here) super nice.

We have stayed here for a month and we couldn’t have had a better experience. Agus and the rest of the family are very nice people, super calm and respectful. They were renovating the place to open the hostel so we didn’t get to live with many other guests. We will see you again for sure Agus! Thank you !!

The place is quite old so don't expect much. But the rooms and the toilets are clean. For 50K IDR, you get what you pay for. They need to upgrade the beds. You can opt to use their towel and lockers for free but with 50K deposit. The pool is nice and warm. It's also a 5 to 10 minute walk from Ubud Market which is a plus.

I came to this hostel in 2016 to stay over one night. The beds are comfortable enough but there are a lot of people per room and it is quite chaotic. If your idea is just stay one day to start your trip again next day this is a good place but in the other hand I recommend you to find something else

Good stay for the value. Paid only 6 dollars for 12 person dorm. It's all open concept so there is no privacy. The pool is nice and there are lots of areas to socialize with fellow guests. It's very close the center and ubud market. The food is reasonably priced although I didn't try any as you can go down the street to find cheaper food. Check in was easy. The WIFI here is not the greatest, so if you need to do work, you will have to find a coffee shop or somewhere else.

Stayed here a couple of years ago. Was gonna stay two nights and ended up staying over a week. Very quiet when I was there, so good night sleeps and be amazing having the little pool just for me!

Looks good, but very uncomfortable if staying in a dorm room. Only two bathrooms/toilets for more than 28 people when fully occupied. No lockers for your bags in the dorm room but a separate building for this purpose. Only two electricity sockets for 6 people!!! Bar staff continuously asks is you want to buy a beer or food, or book a taxi, or rent a motorbike. Very annoying and uncomfortable!!

Great hostel. Cheap (€6 per night), lots of services (scooter rental for 50k, tours to the mountain, cheap and great food all day). It has a pool and great chill out areas to meet people. The beds themselves are clean but pretty old, which is why I can't give it 5 stars.

Lovely pool and garden, and small bridge above a pond with colourful fish, great prices for the hostel. Not the cleanest but great atmosphere. I liked that every bed has a double electrical socket. There's a bar by the pool... about 5 wifi networks but all of them busy and the Internet works sometimes very good sometimes very bad... friendly helpful staff, food is ok, acceptable prices. Great for budget travelers.

Great hostel for the price. The pool is great with sunbeds and a separate bar. It felt like a hotel in the lounge areas. The rooms however need improvement. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm that had 7 beds, the mattress I slept on was caved in so I sunk to the bottom, the ceiling fans are slow so couldn't feed the air on the bottom bunk. I changed room for a bed with a standalone fan next to it but the fan didn't rotate which was annoying for the two beds sharing that fan. It's important to complain here as the staff do make an effort if you assert yourself but you have to push them into action. The changing area needs a curtain because staff walk in the room in the day and can catch you on the nude. Wifi needs improving it can slow almost to a halt. The location of the hostel is good because it's near the lazy cats cafe and the massage places.

Few years ago we stayed here. Well it was okay. Many party people..but at 10 pm it was quite which was actually nice. The beds were bit uncomfortable but okay for the price.
