So I’ve stayed here a few times now. Nice rooms, ok breakfast, bathrooms always stink of urine. On my last occasion- which will be my last time coming I left really unhappy and in pain. We checked into a superior room - for the last few days of our 5 month trip in Asia. The bathroom was quite unpleasant with the smell of old urine that I spent a while giving it a thorough clean. We went out for food and returned to giant ants in the room- thinking it must have been food we left out we checked and there wasn’t anything attracting the ants in that we could see. We sprayed the room and informed reception. The next few nights the same happened. With ants in our bed too. In the end we were given a broom so we could sweep them up ourselves. On the fourth night we came back to so many ants covering the floor and the bad that we couldn’t stay there any longer. Management wasn’t particularly helpful, they wanted us to move to a room and then move again for another night. So we could never unpack and just relax. After so too and fro the manager spent some time to switch rooms to allow us to stay in the same room for our last days there. So they moved us to a lower grade standard room and tried to charge us nearly the same price as the superior room- only after showing the manager the prices on Agoda (though he lied and said they don’t use Agoda any more- even though I booked the existing stay on Agoda) that he finally backed down and charged us a more reasonable price- though still too much. We finally move all our stuff at 8pm - no help from the staff there. And we check into the lower grade room. Bathroom stinks of urine. Most furniture and fittings have seen far better days. The rains poured that night- and we went to bed. I woke up and walked to the bathroom and slipped, tore the skin off my arm, crushed/bruised my toes and hit my neck on the wall- which is still currently in pain. I slipped due to water coming through the ceiling. On inspection this isn’t a new problem but one that has been going on for sometime but no one has maintained the room to a good standard. The next morning I spoke to reception- WHO DID NOTHING! No apology nothing! We then saw the cleaner and realised why all the rooms stink of urine- as the mop (old ragged towel that looks very unclean) is used in the bathroom and across all floors and even outside and it’s never washed or rinsed. Thank goodness we were leaving the next day. We couldn’t get out fast enough. As I’ve said, I’ve stayed here before and whilst it’s always needed more maintenance, it has been a perfect location and it has a great pool. But there’s other places very close by for the same price that I would be using from now on. If the management had taken a bit more responsibility over this I doubt that would be the case.

Great location, right in the city center yet quiet and exotic. My girlfriend and I stayed here two nights, and it was lovely. Room was clean and cozy, with a welcome arrangement of flowers on the bed. Price included an OK breakfast with a few options to choose from (I recommend the banana pancakes) Swimming pool is great and reserved, and we even got to see monkeys on the run from the monkey forest!

Our stay at Ubud Terrace Bungalows was pleasantly surprising and exceeded expectations. Upon check in, we were greeted with a delicious fruit smoothie. We booked the Deluxe Sweet - the room was large and clean with an open bathroom (tub + shower) and balcony. The hotel villas are surrounded by beautiful flowers and greenery, as well as a nice pool. Breakfast was basic, but still filling and decent, and staff came to clean our room while we were eating, so that was convenient. Also a great location in Ubud, right near the Monkey Forest. Would recommend!

Very rude staff (telling me that I have to check out while it was hours before check out time), they don’t clean je room, I asked for new sheets because there was a stain on it, but they didn’t change them. Dirty towels with stains as well. Breakfast is horrible, not clean. Had a stomach ache about 4-6 after eating their breakfast. If you see the ‘kitchen’, that doesn’t surprise me. I eat at very local restaurants, but neven have a problem except for here. Very basic room, which would be fine if it was clean. But there are ants everywhere, hairs in the room and as said, dirty sheets/towels.

We stayed 1 night, we had a room next to the room. + Room size was big, clean, and they provided hand sanitizer and masks. + Location near convenience store & Pharmacy. + Pool was big and clean. - The hot shower didn’t worked at night (didn’t know it was only our room or all room). Since the location near the monkey forest, expect monkeys to come to hotel complex in the morning. Overall I booked this hotel for a very reasonable price per night. It’s a steal deal considering all the facts. Recommended!

I have been back 5 times and love it as it's very close to monkey forest but tucked away enough to be peaceful, and has stunning architecture. The staff are very welcoming and extremely helpful the whole place has had renovations and are even more beautiful. The breakfast is great, and I will definitely come again as I love Ubud.

I am a regular customer in UBUD INN. My husband and me, we come every 6 months in this hotel, now for eleven years. We are totally satisfied with this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We always rent a double Superior room. Its perfectly clean, big enough, comfortable (WI-FI, satellite TV, A.C., freezer), good bed with moskito net, and the room service is excellent. We aspecially like the wonderful garden (typical tropical garden) with many flowers and the swimming pool. The location is perfect in the center of Ubud and we never ear the noise of the street because of the garden between the road and the rooms. Nothing to complain about this hotel. We never found a similar place in Ubud for the same price. We will continue to come in Ubud INN.

Beautiful rooms with traditional Balinese furniture set in a tropical environment. And a great pool, with around 9 meters much longer than most in the area and actually long enough for swimming. Amazing staff!!!!

Very nice suites on the backside of the street. No noise from traffic and in the middle of the jungle. Even monkey came in the morning to raid our balcony. (Don't know if good or bad, i was enjoying it ;) Only bad thing was, that renovation works are bit noisy during the day and the pool was not available.

I've stayed here many times. Value for money is acceptable. The rooms are just ok but the price and location good. Would I stay again. I always do.

Now back at Ubud Terrace Bungalows. Only reopened recently. Still the same as it was 3 yrs ago. Excellent, spotless rooms & brilliant breakfasts included in the price. Now also doing dinners as well. Still a highly recommended place to stay while in Ubud .

Lovely stay. Clean, comfy beds, mosquito nets and good air con. Staff friendly and helpful. Short walk to the monkey forest and saraswati Palace. Lots of nice food options in walkable distance. Lots of monkeys around close to the rooms which we found fun! Great to see them up close- a great stay in Ubud.

Such a lovely stay at Ubud Bungalows! A very pleasant surprise to find this beautiful landscaped bungalow in the middle of Ubud centre. The room is clean and pleasant and the staff cleans it everyday. A great team of staff where everyone is friendly, smiling and helpful. A special shoutout to Agung who has been incredibly instrumental to my very pleasant stay there. He helped with scooter rental, laundry (exception) & more! Their swimming pool is also especially beautiful and great for suntanning!

Amazing place! A must stay in Ubud. Great location, friendly staff, they go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. Monkey all around which makes the stay more interesting. Definitely a highlight of the place. Nice pool. Decent breakfast included in hotel restaurants.

Incredible nice staff. When it started to rain (not in a rain season), they left their umbrelas at our apartments and started running back to reception.

The room we first stayed in was very clean which made me really happy. Pool was very nice! Breakfast was okay. Staff was nice! Location is nice, close to a lot of things. Though, we had to book one extra night and got another room upstairs which was horrible. Broken mirror, dirty floors, stained sheets and a bad smell that made it hard to stay there. So, if you go there, take one of the more expensive rooms…!

We loved the location and the authenticity of the place. Rooms are beautifully designed. Be aware that monkeys are passing from time to time, but it contributes to the place's charm.

Great central location on Monkey Forest Road. Our bungalow was quiet, spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and not intrusive in any way. A perfect place to base yourself.

  • 5/5 Hema R. 1 year ago on Google
There's no TV so be prepared with your own entertainment. There are monkeys around but the staff is always ready to protect the guests whenever they come too close.

Great place to stay! UBUD is very busy and full of people so this place offers peace and quiet away from busy street even though it is still a perfect location. Breakfast is really nice and people are very friendly. Pool is wonderful!

The location os great within walking distance to lots of yummy restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions. Staff are very friendly. This is probably the best budget accommodation I have stayed in. Make sure you stay in a deluxe room which has a partial jungle view.

Nice accommodation with a beautiful pool area, cute Bungalows with a nice balcony and a comfy bed, just the bath room wasn't that beautiful, but clean and everything worked. Close to multiple bars, you can hear the music until 11p.m. Very friendly and polite staff.

Stayed a night in a basic room for 350k. Pros: great location near monkey forest. Monkeys up close and personal morning & afternoon. Good breakfast included, nice grounds and good pool. Comfy bed. Cons: a strong odor of urine from drain near shower. Aircon was just ok. Fridge wasn't earthed (fixed promptly). Stairs to cheaper rooms are steep with a short rise. Door was flimsy and difficult to shut. Rated 4 based on price. In summary I'd stay again but in a better room where none of the above apply.

We are book it. And owner before one day just say us - oh. We don't have free room for you on this day. Maybe you came to us in another day? Serios? Don't have deal with this so bad owner service.

Cheap, but too many monkeys and the rooms all smelled bad. Better to pay a little more for a nicer place for 270k, or skip the swimming pool and stay at a 150k place.

We decided to stay an additional few days in Ubud and managed to switch our accommodation to Ubud Bungalow. Super friendly and helpful staff, lovely bright, comfortable and clean room with a/c and balcony (we were in a delux room) and immaculate gardens and pool. Simply fantastic. Ample breakfast too. We felt like we were in a very good standard hotel as opposed to budget accommodation which really made our last few days in Bali. Excellent location too in terms of accessing and exploring Ubud. We will be back and for longer!

Rooms have beautiful doors and are in the style of a temple / traditional house. Even standard room has its own generous balcony. Set in monkey road, in the jungle, so has a lovely feel. And a very nice pool area that is nice enough to spend time relaxing. Room itself ( with fan) was OK. But I don't know how long I could survive without air conditioning. Was quite hot, and not sensible to open too many windows with insects around. I had a little infestation of ants soon after I arrived and sought help to remove. This might have been an ongoing battle if I were there more than one night. I was given some spray to equip me. Seemed to be only one spare plug socket which was a bit restricting. And would be good to have some more surfaces to put things down on. The air con / deluxe /superior rooms seemed to be in a more modern style, so whilst more convenient not as beautiful (though maybe there are some beautiful, air con rooms i'm not sure)

I did not enjoy my stay here at all, it was very loud early in the morning both days which woke me up and geckos were noisy all night and sounded like they were in our room. The sheets weren’t clean and I came in to see the bed made but there was some kind of animal droppings on it. Bed was uncomfortable, towels were old and thin and had holes/ stains etc, breakfast options very limited, many frogs and bugs at night. Just wouldn’t come back. The cheap price is appealing but you can see why it’s so cheap. It’s the bare necessities for sure. No phone/ tv/ hairdryer/ shampoo etc. Pool was alright, nothing special and bathroom door didn’t lock or shut properly.

An oasis of tranquility and beauty right in the center of Ubud; the best of both worlds. Beautiful garden, beautiful room with good a/c, nice breakfast, friendly staff and lovely pool. Excellent value for money. I would have liked to stay longer, and will certainly come back. Thank you very much to the staff.

Had a great stay. I was looking for affordable, clean, and cozy place with a pool. It's a very nice place considering every aspect. Plus, the breakfast is amazing. I tried all the menu and they were all really good. Recommend this place to anyone!

The room is very nice and comfortable. The free breakfast included has many good options. Would recommend lunch in another place not in the hotel. Pool is good. However Wi-Fi signal is poor yet I don't blame them.

Bungalows surrounded by tropical garden, nice breakfast and very clean rooms. Very loyal staff, lost my purse at the pool and got it back next day with complete content! We always enjoyed coming back after a walk through crowded and busy streets in Ubud.

Great place to grab a massage or meal. We did not stay in the rooms, but they looked very nice and well serviced. Tip: if you are just eating, ask to sit by the pool, they will bring you back there and serve you in a more intimate setting and not by the street traffic. You can also go for a swim without staying there if you eat which was a HUGE discovery for us. The massage prices were slightly more, but usually under $15 for an hour. There is a mandatory 10% service charge for eating (typical of hotels and many restaurant in Ubud).

A beauty decadent place. Perhaps, was a top hotel in the past. Nowadays, seem decadent and abandonated, a shadow of glorious past. Bad maintenence facilities and rooms. Spacious rooms and comfortables beds with bathroom. Nice pool. Basic breakfast but, enough. Male staff are much better nice than females one( never smile). You have to coexist with rowdiest monkeys because, is touching Monkey park.

Hotel: +Nice garden, very friendly staff, very clean, delicious breakfast included - bad wifi Location: Great place to travel all around Bali. Plenty of good restaurants (warungs) near by. Quite touristic area.

Different than the photos. Nice place but super old, dirty and dark. The room smells like a bin rubbish. Is not a spa..Many things broken too

  • 3/5 Malena P. 5 years ago on Google
Shared area and pool are great but the room was too basic and half re-built. Monkeys stay around and are funny but also a bit agressive and always looking for stuff to steal.

Loved this place! We stayed in room 15 and it was very spacious and clean. The balcony was great and looked out onto the greenery. We had a few monkeys come to visit us on the balcony which was an experience I'll never forget! The staff were friendly and there was cleaning of the rooms each day. Highly recommend this place!

That place was quite a surprise ! We didn't really have any expectations but it turns out that this hotel was a great part of our amazing experience in Ubud. Ubud is a great place, and this Hotel was just the right place to enjoy the center of the city, while having a calm and quiet stay. The room was great, beautiful bathroom very pleasurable and a good AC. What was really amazing is the design and architecture of the cottages.. My god I was shook. Those were very very nicely built and designed, I loved the cottages, the roofs in the forest, the carved and painted doors... everything ! Moreover, you get a good swimming pool and a friendly staff. There is not much to say about the rest, everything went very well. I have to recommend that place, hands down.

Love this place. Peaceful, choice of air conditioner or fan rooms, lush gardens, very friendly & helpful staff, good central location. Great breakfast spot up the back of the property. Ive been staying here almost 10 years whenever I come to Ubud. Feels like my secret! The room I stayed in has been recently renovated & has a new bathroom. Highly recommended.

Had a really beautiful stay here! Staff were very accomodating and present. Breakfast was always great and peaceful. Only improvement would be some umbrellas by the pool! But it definitely does not take away from the space

I stayed here for 9 nights and I will definetly come back and recommend to everyone. Location is perfect, bungalows/pool/environment are very clean and the staff is very nice and helpful. Staff are always willing to help with renting a scooter to booking trips to Mount Batur/Nusa Penida. Only improvement point is that Wifi sometimes is a bit weak

Spent four nights at Ubud Bungalows. Great location, right in the centre of town. Clean and well maintained. Helpful staff. Great value. Photos put on Trip Advisor.

  • 5/5 Ferenc Szabolcs E. 4 years ago on Google
Pretty and kind staff (just like almost every Balinese people) The property is clean, the garden is extremely beautiful. They have pool as well (haven't tried) The breakfast is good (some basic choices of local foods) You can rent a bike here, but you should check the condition of the bikes before rental 😉 We booked a room with a fan, at almost half price compared to with an A/C equipped one. It was way enough. Good location, the main sights of Ubud just a few minutes of walk from here. Definitely recommended!!!

  • 5/5 Júlia L. 1 year ago on Google
I cannot praise this place enough, it's fair to say it's one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Beautiful and clean bungalows surrounded by jungle-like garden, where monkeys come and visit you, and even though its location is as central as it gets, all you hear at night is the animals of the forest. Would chose this place a million times over!
