Would definitely NOT recommend this hostel. Overall it is meh... yes it has nice swimming pools, but that's about it. The staff is not helpful and everything is misleading. The BBQ is not really a barbecue. The allegedly "free drinks" is only one drink which is thinned down and not tasty at all. The toilets are terrible; you cannot sit on them properly, because of the toilet seat is completely loose. To make matters worse, the doors almost touch the toilet and open inwards; you can barely enter or get out. If you have somewhat long legs or are a bit bigger YOU CANNOT SIT ON THE TOILETS! And all this for one of the highest prices hostels? It wasn't even social or crowded when I was there. And then the worst... there was no yoga! They promise it everywhere, even on a huge sign at the reception; free yoga everyday, but there was none. Shame on you Pillow Inn.

Bro and I stayed here for 3 nights. Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and modern, they had daily group activities. Breakfast was included at the adjacent restaurant (which was delicious btw, really good value), and they provided massage coupons upon check in. Definitely would recommend and stay here again :)

If it wasnโ€™t for the lovely staff this place would have got a 1 star from me, first time I have had to do that but need to be honest. You cannot take your backpacks to your room instead they are in a big locker room at the top but reception. You get your own locker and lock but there are only so many on the bottom row so good luck if you are vertically challenged luck me trying to get it up any higher. This was quite overwhelming when we arrived after a long day of travel having to then figure out what you needed to transfer into a smaller bag which the hostel give you to use and keep and can be stored under your bed in another locker. The steps that you have to go down only about 5 of them are very steep so be careful. The dormitory was a 12 bed and the curtains that weโ€™re supposed to give you privacy was thinner than a shower curtain. The bathroom was gross, there are 2 showers and 2 toilets, 2 basins for 24 people (all female), so if you go to the toilet and someone is using the basin then you have to wait to wash your hands. They were not clean even though I saw them being cleaned I think itโ€™s just old and needs redoing, the hair in the drain yuck it makes my stomach turn thinking if it. You could not swing a cat in the shower cubicle so the 3 hooks you had to hang your stuff on would always get wet. I tried to take a shower at different times of the day and there was always a little hot water but not enough pressure for it to be a good shower. There is much more bad I could say but I want to end on a positive. The staff were so friendly, always smiling and chatting, you get a coupon for a free massage and free soft drink when you arrive. They do basic laundry on site and they more than happy to help you with your queries. I had an amazing foot massage and after all the walking I had done I needed it. Overall staff great but staying there not so great.

The staff guest's attention and support is amazing and very kind. I had a very unfortunate incident that caused a last minute cancellation at Pillow Inn and, according to the cancellation policy, I was going to get charged for not showing up. Nevertheless, the staff was very comprehensive and showed their kindness and empathy by cancelling with no charge. I really appreciated that human gesture.

Amazing hostel !! Can't say enough good things about this place. It feels like a big family here ! Pool during the day and always a fun activity at night on the rooftop with the bar there as well. Very social and friendly people everywhere so it is so nice as a solo backpacker ! I loved it and definitely will be visiting everytime I'm in Bali!:)

Pros: + The two swimming pools and the common areas around them are very nice to have. + The dorms have massive lockers, so you can easily get your backpack in the lockers and other stuff if you want to. + Also the beds have an extra locker for some small things which is nice. + Beds have curtains and therefore you can get easily some rest in the night. ++ The free yoga classes in the morning are excellent and the yoga teachers vary, which is nice. It would be great if there was some more shade on the rooftop, maybe a light sun cover (awning?), but the class itself was very good. Neutral: - + - Breakfast and food is good, but if you go out there are a lot more options and most of the time even cheaper and very delicious. - + - The toilets are clean and very tiny and you have to sqeeze a little bit into them to close the doors. Cons: - - However, the showers had some kind of worms crawling on the walls while showering. Also when i stayed there one out of three showers always didn't work (varied from day to day...) Recap: I stayed in better hostels, but if you want some good free yoga classes and pools to chill in Ubud and don't mind sqeezing into the toilets and maybe greet some worms in the shower... then go there. I enjoyed it mainly due to the yoga classes ;)

Jack and his whole staff were tremendous throughout my entire stay. I arrived past midnight when I checked in and they still took the time toake me dinner as most warungs were closed around. Free breakfast, dinner and yoga were great additions and they had almost nightly activities. Clean rooms, quality vibes and really good people made this a great stay with the high quality of service, hospitality and local recommendations a real highlight. This place deserves 5 stars.

It was amazing here! The staff makes sure you feel welcomed and organize a lot of events so the whole hostel can get to know eachother, lika for example a free family dinner, a scooter tour and a beerpong tournament. The rooms were clean and it always nice to have a pool. No you have two!

I really enjoyed staying at Pillow Inn. The staff was so nice, especially at the reception. You get a voucher for a free soft drink and a free massage when you arrive. The massage there was great. There is Yoga every morning and you get free breakfast, which was also very nice.

Amazing staff and wonderful travelers. Every person of the stuff remember your name and care about you. Nice swimming pools and bar area, I also had an awesome massage for free. Cleaning of bathroom and showers can be improved but overall very satisfied of the experience. I had a very fun time there and felt very sad to leave the people and vibes of the place. I will definitely recommend this place. Thank you Pillow Inn ๐Ÿ™

My boyfriend and I wholeheartedly LOVE this place. We originally planned to stay for just a few nights but extended because we enjoyed the service, people & overall vibes so much. They do a great job of coordinating fun events for guests to join (hikes, board game nights, morning yoga, etc) and the beer pong tourney was one of the highlights of our stay. The food was consistently super yummy and we especially loved the breakfast options (vegetarian friendly). We got a private room and it was perfectly sized for two and always clean/ maintained well. We loved the location because itโ€™s near a bunch of great restaurants, and Iโ€™d say, is ideal for those looking for somewhere quieter but still in the city center. Above all, the people who work there make you feel like family. What stood out to me the most are the small things like how they remember/ call you by your name and take the time to share a real conversation. 10/10 Pillow Inn is a must stay!!

Love this hostel! The staff are amazing, so friendly and always remember your name! The vibe is great as it's very social but not a party hostel. The free yoga every morning is so convenient and then straight down for the free breakfast, which is delicious. All of the food tastes so good! The hostel arrange tours which is great for solo travellers as you get to make friends quickly, Especially at Salsa night and the beer pong tournament. Highly recommend!

The best hostel I have stayed in!! Booked 3 nights and ended up extending for 3 weeks. The staff are amazing, so happy and helpful. The breakfast is so good, you must try the smoothie bowl ๐Ÿ˜ and the rooftop bar on a night is packed full of the greatest people! There's lots going on such as bbq sundays, mojito nights, movie nights ๐Ÿ’™ so much fun. The beds and communal areas are really clean and you get a towel, shampoo and body wash provided for you which I think is fab. Definitely give the Instagram a follow, lots of information on there for your travels!

The hostel is beautiful and location is okay too. Super breakfast and free yoga classes in the morning which is super! Just did not like the stairs to the upper beds (so high and steep and you had to jump a bit!). The atmosphere was not the best (maybe too fancy for me!)

We had the best weekend and we wished we had more days to stay in Pillow Inn. The bed are good,no bed bugs. I had a little problem with the shower but the staff immediately fixed it.The staffs are friendly and helpful. It's a great place to socialize. They also have yoga in the morning which is great.

I was really surprised at how good the layout is here. The walk way that runs the length of the property is surrounded by the jungle/rainforest giving a serene feeling. Also walking out of the dorms there is a river running through and it feels super peaceful. The dual pools, restaurant and rooftop bar create a really good atmosphere and social vibe. Definitely ticks all the boxes and doesn't feel like a single thing is lacking. Which is pretty amazing tbh. Btw. This is a more expensive place than I would typically stay in but I deem it to be worth the price.

Had such a blast at Pillow Inn! I love the vibes and the wonderful travellers that this spot attracts. Youโ€™re sure to meet dozens of amazing people and be surrounded with likeminded souls! The free morning yoga is quite a plus too! Loved having access to two pools and being connected to the hostel across the road, Gypsy Lust, so I could go over there for evening concerts and to use the pool over there too! The restaurant makes gourmet smoothie bowls and lots of other delicious food too. Loved the vibes and the whole scene at pillow! Plus the wifi is super storng, and the hot water is super hot and the aircon is super cold! Lots of amazing pluses of picking Pillow Inn!

Beds were comfortable, but expected a more social vibe, especially on new year's Eve, but it was very quiet. Bathrooms at night were disgusting with a bug infestation coming out of the toilet and drains. Don't know if it was just that night but the bugs were everywhere. Was otherwise clean and bugs are probably common in the area. Staff was very friendly, held our bags for us, and booked a art tour thought them that was great!

Best hostel in Bali! Pillow Inn Hostel Ubud has the nicest staff who is willing to cater to your every need. Love the small details like the free drink upon arrival, organized social events, and the owner Jack who knows the name of every guest and can help you to organize tours and excursions. Rooms and bathrooms are kept clean several times a day. Yoga and breakfast in the mornings. Lots of cool people staying here from all over so great opportunities to meet new people and make friends, especially around the pools and rooftop bar.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Really good hostel to stay in! The rooms and bathrooms are well maintained and clean. You meet a lot of other solo travelers there and itโ€™s very social. The common area is also really nice as the view is just greenery and there is a constant sound of water rushing. The breakfast isnโ€™t anything fancy...
