We stayed in a double bed room. Hostel itself looks really nice. Lots of colour and nice decoration. Doors and beds in Balinese decor. As it is next to a rice field expect lots of mosquitos, bugs and cockroaches. Nice place to stay if you don't mind that.

The worst hostel I have ever stayed in, but also the cheapest so don't know what I was expecting really. The mattress was awful, no padding left to it just springs. The windows just have wooden bars, no way of shutting or netting meaning mosquitos can get in easily so we got bitten all night! The hostel also looks as if it could do with a good clean, light switches, walls and corners of rooms look as if they have never been cleaned. We booked for 5 nights but ended up leaving after one night and were only refunded a fraction of what we had paid. If you only care about price and location then this place is for you, but if you want to have a good nights sleep there are places slightly more expensive, but a LOT better.

Friendly staff, and great vibe. We did enjoy our stay, but... We opted for the cheapest dorm available - equivalent of around 2-3 pounds per person, per night. You get what you pay for- the beds were uncomfortable, dodgy electrics, and the ceiling in the bathroom had a major leak in the rain. None of these seemed to be a new problem either. The hostel would benefit from charging a little more so they can afford the repairs!

For what you pay, its good value. Bedding is decent, rooms arent crowded, balconies are super lovely to hang out in. Lots of communal areas and lovely staff who are happy to help. My only 2 criticisms would be to improve the wifi and to have a kitchenette avaliable with basics (sink, kettle, stovetop, pots and pans, cutlery and crockery) otherwise this is a hostel with a chill vibe, great location and very budget friendly.

The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. They also try to accommodate any requests you may have. On the other hand they are constantly trying to sell you something. They ask you about your plans for the day and than they push you to buy a taxi ride, cooking class, motorbike rent etc. I felt really uncomfortable with that.

Cheapest place in town but the lumpy beds and quality of the rooms show why. Any true backpacker will spring for this spot just for the price (like me). Decent hanging area with bar and restaurant. Nice to be off the main busy Monkey Forest Rd.

Loved our stay at the Happy Mango and especially all of Yoman’s help. Friendly staff and good breakfast. The dorms are definitely basic, but felt the vibes and price (50,000 IDR for a dorm) were fantastic.

We needed a place to relax and Yoman (Sorry, I never asked spelling!) and happy mango helped us do it. Basic hostel. But extremely friendly and very accommodating. Close to Central Ubud but still a bit separate. WiFi good. Bathrooms are quite basic but beds are clean and comfortable. Slept thru an Aftershock. Would stay again.

Over all happy with our stay in happy mango tree. Stayed in a double room as well as in a dorm and both were great. No key for dorm so a little unsafe tho you could hire a locker if you want

Beds are oke, bathroom is a bit outdated. We were having a few drinks and were told de turn down the music at 22. So we did. At 23.30 the security Just shut down the light which probably ment it was bedtime for us. I found It a bit rude, wouldnt go here again. If you dont mind going to bed at 22 Sharp its a oké Place to sleep.

If you book in advance it's very cheap. And you get what you pay for. Bed not comfortable, bathroom not very good but most of the times fairly hot water. But if you're easy-going and on budget it's still good. Well-located.

👍 The place was very nice, good pool, friendly staff, decent breakfast included. It lost one star because there were screaming/crying children ALL day during out few nights here (I believe it was the staffs children). Other than that excellent.

👍👍 Really good hostel to stay in! The rooms and bathrooms are well maintained and clean. You meet a lot of other solo travelers there and it’s very social. The common area is also really nice as the view is just greenery and there is a constant sound of water rushing. The breakfast isn’t anything fancy...
