Not very clean and rude staff

Avoid this place like the plague. (who knows, maybe you can catch that here too😁). I know the price is very cheap but they don't provide even the minimum of what they promise. Air conditioning is switched off. When on it doesn't work. Even the fan works sporadically and doesn't move. The lights in the sleeping cubicles are either broken or nonexistent with electricity cables just sticking out of the wall. No hot water in the shower. I was in the room when the "cleaning lady" was "working". Her idea of cleaning the bathroom was to flush the toilet. I then had to ask her for toilet paper as none was provided and she gave me a look as though I had inconvenienced her enormously for asking. She did not empty the full bin for toilet paper and nothing else was cleaned in the toilet. No one dared turn on the bathroom light in the night due to the REALLY loud noise coming from the ventilation fan. REALLY, REALLY loud. The "receptionist" is nonexistent and only turned up to check me in after I disturbed the men playing cards in the rooms next door to ask them to call someone. I've seen the really stupid comments by LAETI and I don't expect the world from a cheap budget hostel but, at least, get the BASICS right. Oh, and btw, I paid €3 a night for a hostel in Thailand and it had a SWIMMING POOL!!!!!! So amazing things are possible for a low budget. NO EFFORT TO RUN THIS PLACE WELL AT ALL. I hope that this review will shock the owners into improving their hostel as it is in a great location in the market and has a lot of potential for being a really nice place to stay. But at the moment, FAILING!

No 24 hour reception even if it says so, only 1 staff can speak English and she is not always there, the bathrooms look disgusting and mouldy, can hardly feel the airvonditioning and there was a rat in my room. The mattresses were also very old and worn. Only plus was the price, very cheap.

Very basic hostel. AC included, free coffee, tea and drinking water. Excellent ubication in the middle of the market

There was no one at reception for hours, the place is extremely dirty and the bed sheets and pillow smell so bad that I had to steal a cushion from the couch.

My second time here in Market Hostel, cheap price, best staff, comfy beds, hot shower, banana pancake for breakfast, coffee and tea for free, in the middle of the center. What do you want more??? 5/5 stars because there are only 5 :)

CDL for three nights the air condition never worked but I met some cool people so far
