The hotel is very beautiful, but we had a very unfortunate event, my friend and I suffered the theft of our credit card data, we are very sure that it was at the hotel reception because it was the only time we used those cards in our entire I was staying in Bali, in addition to the fact that at the time we paid we lost sight of our card, which seemed very suspicious to me, at that moment there were many people behind the reception desk, but since I was relaxed and on vacation I did not give them much importance. In short, I felt robbed, my friends and I have already made the corresponding complaint for the improper use of the card.

We stayed 2 nights here and we had no complaints. Scooter rent, restaurant, laundry, being close to Ubud downtown and many other amenities.. much more, I recommend it.

I loved our extended stay in Kiskenda for 5 days. Its centrally located with close by cafes spas and all other required utility (scooter, sim, money exchange). The staff is very polite and the restaurant is amazing. It has a nice pool (not infinity, but very well maintained). The prices are a steal so if you are planning to stay for long, this is a great option. The rooms are all pool facing with a long glass door. Overall very well located, nice and clean rooms, with all required facilities (including restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner) Bonus: It also has room service if you are very lazy someday ;)

We spent two nights at this place, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The location in Ubud is excellent, with a lovely area and a beautiful pool. The breakfast was good for the price. The only thing to improve is the humidity in the room. Otherwise, highly recommended.

We stayed in kiskenda for 3 nights and it was amazing. The pool was great to relax, the rooms were big and the bed is very comfortable. Our only star down was because it was a little run down in places, the door handle in our bathroom came off, the handle on the cupboard and at times because of the trees the sun loungers were dirty with petals etc. The breakfast was basic and good, but not great. Overall we thought it was very good value for money and would recommend.

Excellent value for accommodation easily worthy of four stars. We stayed in a deluxe double room with an amazing outdoor shower open with the bathroom. The room and bathroom are very clean and modern. The staff are extremely welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The grounds and swimming pool are beautiful. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order with good choices available. The hotel is a bit further away from the main street which was preferable for us as that area is very busy and noisy, but still in easy walking distance. The road (or rather track) to the hotel is rough so don't expect to wear heels. It has many bars and restaurants. The ones closest to the hotel close early, around 10pm, but the ones nearer the main street stay open later. It is about 10 min walk to the monkey forest which you must visit. If you prefer not to walk there are numerous taxis available everywhere. We paid ยฃ30 per night, which to us is very cheap, and concerned me slightly when we booked it. However, I needn't have worried and all the excellent reviews are justified. This hotel is a little gem and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting affordable luxury.

Nice place away from the busy centre but close enough to walk to the most interesting places. Close to the Monkey Forest. Nice pool, quiet good bathroom, ok breakfast.

Amazing experience, the hotel is so beautiful and nice. Very clean and staff is very nice as well. Breakfast was also delicious. We even repeated the stay. Location is good and far from noises from street.

This hotel is basic in every dimension. The rooms are clean. And the staff is friendly. Things to keep in mind when booking this hotel. It is 20 minutes walk to the center and the road is in a very bad condition. A taxi is not a real option due to the traffic jam. Walking is faster. Furthermore the breakfast is simple. The beds are for a European a bit small. Overall it is good value for money. Not ideal however for small kids.

I stayed here for 2 nights. Highly recommend ๐Ÿ‘ our room was on the second floor. The view was good (not a neighbouring building). Their breakfast was good enough to start a day. The location was also perfect. The main area of Ubub is really busy. Thus I was glad that this accommodation is not on the main road. It is on the next block of the main road. So quite, but close enough to everywhere. They were really friendly as well. If I go to Ubub, I will stay here again.

Kiskenda is a beautiful place to stay when you are in ubud. It is closer to almost everything in walkable distance. The service was really good and the staff was super friendly. The rooms have an amazing view of the pool and the luscious greenery. Loved it!

Very nice and quiet hotel located on a secondary street but only 500 yards from Sacred Monkey Forest has spacious beautifully decorated room. Mine is on second floor with cathedral ceiling overlooking the pool and garden. One can hear the birds and rooster singing in the early morning. Exquisite pool area, the swimming pool itself is of respectable dimension (5 by 15 yards) and surrounded by beautiful flower trees and shrubs. Good breakfast included. I defitely recommend it without any hesitation.

We stayed at Kiskenda for 2 nights and 3 days. Rooms are clean and hotel staff are so friendly! They greeted us with iced tea and allowed us to store our luggage in the closet behind check-in as we arrived early. I had a room on the bottom floor facing the pool. I loved the outdoor shower! The complimentary breakfast was great, too.

We've been travelling for over 2 months around Asia and this place has been amazing! Staff cannot do enough for you it's located just beside the monkey forest and close to most attractions around ubud. They have a laundry service also which we found handy. Pool is great not to many people taking up all the chairs. They have a restaurant located at the front good options for breakfast and lunch. You can get a taxi straight outside on the street and they will bring you around to whatever attractions you'd like to see no problem at all. Anything we've asked for they could not have helped more.

Great spot. Great service. Outdoor shower which is exciting at first but a bit weird to have the bathroom open to the outside during the night time.

The rooms are big and nice. Thats about it. The room was full of dead bugs, spiderwebs, and ants everywhere when we checked in. Even a gecko in the roof that they didnt remove for us even when i asked. We had to specifically ask them to clean the floors and similar stuff when we first entered the room as we couldnt walk without step in dead bugs. It seemed like the room had been empty for weeks, and they didnt bother check or clean before we check in. Even though the bedsheets were obviously dirty from spillage, they didnt swap it out during cleaning. No soap for handwash in the bathroom. THE DAYCLEANERS TURNED OFF THE AIRCONDITION during the day when we were out, so when we arrived back to the hotel late at night ready to sleep after a long day, it was burning hot and we could not sleep. Weirdest act of cheapness i have experienced. This actually made me so pissed and they didnt seem to understand when i confronted them about it. The staff are Very friendly, but does not seem to care about doing their job. It almost seems like a group of friends trying to do as little work as possible. Our laundry was not delivered on time, and didnt accept card for payment even though they accept cash over 50000. They also didnt have change for us to pay with cash. In all, this has been by far our worst stay in Bali despite the Nice location and decent rooms. The downgrade in service and cleaniness is major from our previous stays at similar pricepoints. Definitely dont recommend

Great place to be in Ubud. Big, comfortable , clean rooms. Has a pool, nice balcony, laundry service. Has a refrigerator in the room which is not common in Bali. Good breakfast at the local restaurant. On the bad side, it doesn't have a safe in the room, or the looby. The light for the room is at the end, which is not convenient when you go to sleep, or walkup i. The middle of the night. Also place at the end of the road, and far away from the main street, but there is a shortcut to the monkey forest, and the next street.

A great, inexpensive place to stay, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Good views from the balcony over rice fields. The pool area is spectacular, surrounded by lots of plants, and is right next to rice fields. It's situated very close to monkey forest, and main streets are a short walk. Overall, it's a very relaxing place to stay.

Nice, very green place to stay near the monkey forest. Only the road should be repaired (as many other roads in Ubud).

Recently 15 of our group stayed at Kiskenda cottages in Ubud. It is a very calm, beautiful hotel with super kind and friendly staff. Veena , head of staff was very helpful including everyone one else. They took genuine interest in our needs and went beyond their duty of care to make sure we are doing okay. They took excellent care of us when we had to stay there after checking out @ 1200, until 0400 pm to go to the airport. Thankyou very much Kiskanda/ Veena, will see you again.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

We stayed here 5 night in 2 diferent rooms, both were ok. It is clean and at a fair price. The breakfast it's ok, but nothing fancy. The location it's very good. In the center but not on the main busy road.

Great place. I only stayed here one night because my other hotel got full and wouldnโ€™t let me stay one more night. Kiskenda was so much better. wish iโ€™d spent my entire 2 weeks here. Nice and quiet, view of rice field and yoga studio. no noise from the street or local bars, pool was nice and clean. The rooms were super clean with comfy bed and plenty of hot water in the shower. the staff were all super friendly. Even let me check in early and gave me take away breakfast early the next morning before the restaurant was even open. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Kiskenda. The staff are incredibly welcoming and have great attention to detail. The rooms are very clean and the pool area is beautiful. The food is amazing! We loved it and highly recommend to anyone planning to stay in Ubud. It is also close enough to the Ubud center (monkey Forrest, temple, market, etc) but isnโ€™t among the crowded/high volume area. Perfect stay!!

We stayed here for about a week and really enjoyed it. The room was brand new and beautiful inside - spacious and comfortable with an awesome outdoor shower. The only way it could be better is if the bed had a mosquito net. Pool with infinity edge is absolutely stunning with the view of the rice field next door. There is still some construction going on, but the noise was not particularly loud and did not bother us. Breakfast was tasty especially the banana pancakes. Owners are very nice and friendly and greeted us with a smile every morning. Bisma street is quiet while being almost in the city center. We did rent a scooter after a few days, but the location makes it possible to explore Ubud by foot.

  • 2/5 Michael M. 5 years ago on Google
Noisy. There was music blasting from the bar nonstop till after 10pm (and I get up at around 6 here like most locals). Also some noise from within the building and the street. With the type of construction here itโ€™s just too close to the street to make for a tranquil experience. If you donโ€™t mind the noise it might be a decent choice. Location is excellent if you rent a scooter. Friendly staff, nice pool, nice view. Breakfast was not great though (coffee undrinkable) and the WiFi didnโ€™t really work.

I have stayed at Kiskenda many times ever since it opened. It absolutely fabulous, clean, large rooms, beautiful manicured gardens, large pool, great breakfast and friendly staff. The location is really great too, easy walking to central, Monkey Forest, Palace and at the same time, relaxing in the countryside. Highly recommend and l will keep on staying at Kiskenda, it never disappoints.
