Fantastic experience! 1. The resort is beautifully made in traditional Bali Hindu style, it’s spiritual, peaceful, and very relaxing. 2. The staff are incredibly sweet, very responsive and helpful. 3. The breakfast menu is of many options, we had a cute breakfast at the gazebo by the pool. 4. The location is in the city center, very easy to walk around. The hotel really surprised us and it’s really value for money. Highly recommend

Overall wonderful experience at the Gayatri. The grounds, room, and staff/service are all exceptional. The included delicious breakfast is optionally delivered to the table on your room's balcony. We fondly remember that stay 4 months ago and are eager to visit again. Mornings on that private balcony in that beautiful calm setting with local coffee, fresh fruit, and wonderful breakfast is an experience we'll never forget. For a well-rounded review - there are a couple potential negatives you should know about, though neither are big enough to drop a star. The Lokal Bar across the street has live music and karaoke that probably qualifies as noise pollution in the evening, and a primary school (SD No 1) close enough to hear the roar of children playing in the morning.

Gayatri has a beautiful Balinese-style entrance and garden but the room condition(room 9) was very much disappointed. I spent much time to choose nice rooms for my family but most of us were not satisfied at all. We stayed at 5 different rooms. Reviews said that the rooms were renovated, but the bathroom of room 9 was a nightmare to me. I guess the materials of the wall and floor should be blamed for. Maybe they easily get dirty and are difficult to clean up. The maintenance seemed to be annoyed. Apparently he had repeatedly cleaned it when guests complained about it. Breakfast was also way below my expectation. Although the staff were overall very kind but I wouldn't recommend this place.

Great place to stay in Ubud, Bali! Friendly staffs and cosy environment. I really appreciate the location of the hotel: it’s near to the market and restaurants (5-10mins walk), but it’s quiet at all time. The breakfast there is delicious too. You can also do some swimming and sunbathing in the hotel. I would say it would be even better if there’s a bigger swimming pool and gym facilities.

This hotel has a beautiful relaxed charm, especially at night when oil candles are lit and placed on the verandah of each room. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is brought to your room each morning (if you wish) and is absolutely delicious. The pool is clean and refreshing.

Lovely atmosphere, delicious food, welcoming and helpful staff, very comfortable beds, refreshing pool. One of the most pleasant hotels I’ve stayed in, and I’ve traveled a lot! Terima kasih!

I stayed at this hotel last year and rebooked it because I loved this hotel. It was like staying at a serene temple especially at night when the lights come on and sets a gorgeous atmosphere. Not to mention the pool is accessible 24/7! However, this time it felt like the place went downhill since. Got the Penthouse suite which was a bit of a trek to get up the steep and 'possibly' slippery stairs since the hotel has no elevators. 1) Water pressure was painfully low and I had to reach out to the front desk several times to get it fixed which took 30+ minutes for the staff to come up. I know this is not NYC but service has been painfully slow and it was NOT like this last time. 2) Electricity kept going off when we tried to use the coffeemaker while we had the A/C on which is ridiculous in humid Bali weather to not have the A/C running while in the the room. It took a good 30 minutes for it to come back on. 3) Painfully slow breakfast service. We requested breakfast at 9am, it came at 945am hence slightly ruining our plans for the day. In addition, the coffee cup was dirty with lipstick marks which took away a few minutes of our time as well. The breakfast menu slightly changed and there were many items that were not available. Kombucha was not available for the two days I stayed here, the fruit juices were lukewarm and not sweet, and the bread-based items were just not good. The Nasi and Mie Gorengs were good but the other items were bland and stale. 4) I traveled alone last time but had company this time. I'm a deep sleeper so noise really doesn't bother me but if you're a light sleeper, BE WARNED!! The hotel is tucked away in an alleyway so it seems pretty quiet but you will hear live music being played and song at times at the bar next door. Also, a school is next door so around 6-7am, a loudspeaker goes off to announce something to the students? In the future, I don't think I'll come back to this hotel. I loved everything about it last time from the attentive and friendly staff, the food, the atmosphere, etc. but this time it really ruined it for me since this was really a once in a lifetime trip for me and that special someone.

Very comfy , so close to main road. Breakfast to your verandah. Good value for sure . Would be nice if there is TV option in the room.

Wonderful hotel in a quiet street tucked away from the bustling main road. The management and staff take a lot of care looking after this property and their guests. Breakfast was presented beautifully on our balcony each morning. Swimming pool was the perfect temperature. The rooms also contain large flat screen TVs + Netflix. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend staying here.

The best thing about Gayatri is the beautiful staff that work there. They are lovely people, and so caring and helpful. If not for the old bed/mattress in room #1, which sags in the middle, I would have rated five stars. Gayatri is in a central position, so it's possible to walk to most locations. One last word of advice - Don't visit the Monkey forest! They are vicious and attack tourists on a daily basis. All I did was look at one and it rushed at me and bit my arm, requiring hospitalization. Anyway, Gayatri is a beautiful place indeed.

Very central location. Absolutely beautiful place. Amazing staff. Didn't know it was all vegan, but the food was sensational. Would definitely go back.

One of the best hotel, It is like staying in a temple, the rooftop room that we got was awesome, good breakfast, and great hospitality, we met to the hotel owner, who is such a great young man. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel and the location are great. We had a family room on the second floor with a beautiful view. The really great breakfast was served on the terrace. The staff was very nice and helpful. The pool is very nice and the grounds are nicely landscaped. Wifi could work better.

I could not recommend this hotel more. The rooms were spacious. The location is fantastic. Most of all, every single person on location was a joy to talk to. The level of accommodation we were provided made for an excellent experience.

Staying at the Gayatri hotel in Ubud is one of the best hotel experiences that I have ever had. When I think of Bali, I think of artisan stonework, and this hotel has it everywhere. It is like staying in a temple. The property is beautiful. It is located directly in downtown Ubud, so it is very walkable. The moment you leave the hotel, you are downtown. This made exploring very easy. The morning breakfast is fantastic. Drinks and food options are included in your room price for each person every morning. I particularly enjoyed the nasi goreng, granola, banana pancake, and chocolate ice cream. The food is delivered your room. Eating breakfast on the terrace each morning was so peaceful and was honestly one of my favorite activities every day. I highly recommend this hotel. I hope I can return one day!

Really nice hotel, with a great location and an amazing Balinese buildings and amenities. The breakfast was amazing and the staff is really nice. There is a little bit of noise at night but we were tired and we could sleep.

Gayatri Bungalows is a beautiful piece of paradise right in the centre of Ubud. The new renovated rooms are gorgeous – the design is very tasteful and modern, but still keeping that exotic vibe. The view from the top rooms is breathtaking! The food is always also very good. The banana pancakes at breakfast are the best on the island and it’s so nice to have breakfast on your own private balcony. The roomservice menu has plenty of healthy options and really delicious smoothies. The gardens and the pool are very well kept, and the entire property is very beautiful. If you want to feel truly like you’re in Bali, this is where to feel it: the endless Balinese statues and stone carvings on all the buildings are traditional Balinese and the doorways to the rooms are just exceptional. You feel like royalty with such a regal door to your personal little palace! The location of Gayatri Bungalows could not be better; it’s right in the centre of Ubud, but down a small alley which makes it very peaceful. The staff are very helpful if you want to book some day trips to the volcanoes or temples. Would definitely recommend staying here!

So pretty and authentic - rooms each had own terraces and breakfast from a la carte menu served to room. Loved the outdoor shower. Perfect mix of modern/clean and historical/cultural.

The service at Gayatri was impeccable. The staff is always friendly and ready to help with any request. The food and complementary breakfast are some of the best I had while in Bali and the central location is ideal. Only improvement would be better shower heads and lighting in the rooms but otherwise, I highly recommend this bungalow style hotel.

Boutique hotel set in immaculate gardens, decorated with gorgeous woodcarvings. The service is excellent and reception staff are knowledgeable about Ubud and fluent in English. Breakfast was delicious and the portions are generous. The location is central, with many arts shops, cafés and restaurants nearby and several temples within a 20 minute walk.

Wow this place is amazing ! At first we were a bit worried as there is no vehicle access so your driver needs to drop you on the street as you walk down an ally, but then on your left as it looks like your about to walk into a temple it's the hotel and all the rooms are in theme. The breakfast menu is great and I highly recommend the hand made granola. The arrival drink is a dragon fruit juice and I can say after having this once I have ordered another 5! Can not recommend this place enough

Delightful, ornate accommodations in the heart of Ubud but with plenty of peace and quiet. While we aren’t vegan, we thoroughly enjoyed the vegan breakfast included in the stay and delivered to our terrace each morning. The pool and grounds are really beautiful and the staff are very friendly, happy to answer even dumb questions. Excellent spot!!

I spent a couple nights here last week in Ubud. This was the 3rd place I stayed at over 5 nights. It was my favorite and the price was good. I had a double bed, room 4. AC worked. The shower pressure was great and it was clean. They provide free breakfast, but you need to order it from a menu. Options are ok but they don’t have any eggs on the menu! The property and pool was beautiful. The location was central and easy to walk around. I would stay here again.

Our stay at Gayatri Hotel was nothing short of enchanting. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality from the staff. The team at Gayatri Hotel went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their genuine friendliness and eagerness to assist with any request made us feel like cherished guests from the start. We were truly impressed by their dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay, especially Wulan, she is really so kind and friendly. We already miss them! The hotel itself is a hidden gem in the heart of Bali - Ubud (well located). Gayatri offers a serene and spiritual retreat that feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle. The tranquil ambiance and lush surroundings created a sense of peace and relaxation that we'll carry with us long after our departure. The rooms were beautifully appointed, providing a perfect blend of comfort and Balinese charm. We loved waking up to the gentle sounds of nature and stepping onto our private balcony to take in the breathtaking views. If you're seeking a place to unwind, connect with nature, and experience the true essence of Bali, Gayatri Hotel is the perfect choice. We left feeling rejuvenated, grateful, and already planning our return. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay a magical one. Regards, Raquel Garcia.
