I liked the place overall but just had one major issue that affected my experience negatively. This is a review for the owners and not the general managing staff of the place who were really kind and helpful. But unfortunately there's no one staffed at the desk at night which is quite a security concern. Could expect this of an Airbnb, not a hotel. Owners should really consider having a backup generator installed. The electricity fused out 2 of the 6 nights and it was very uncomfortable given the heat and lack of ventilation in the room. Lots of mosquitoes and bugs if you decide to open the windows. The WiFi was out too, so I wouldn't recommend this place for long stays or people working remotely.

Comfy room. Very clean facility. No bath tub. No swimming pool. A complete pantry, which is fitting for if you travel with kids or stay for longer than just 2 days in Ubud. Parking can be a bit tricky if you drive a car, contact them ahead of time.

Our stay at Rumah Taman was at first a temporary stay between our originally accommondations - but we ended up enjoying the simplicity and stayed for an extra day. The room is very simple, but had everything we needed. If you are a fairly clean person, it is probably as clean as your own house. So everything was perfect in that sense! The communication with the staff was incredibly efficient. We could message them at any time, and they would help us. The free breakfast is very simple. Toast, jam, chocolate spread, jam and fresh fruits - but it was very cute to have the breakfast served in the mornings in the little garden. They even provided us with coffee, tea and sugar so we could help ourselves during our stay. The kitchen is very nice for smaller meals. We ordered food on Gojek daily, because there are a lot of good food in the area and we wanted to just sit in peace and eat. The location is good in terms of noise, as it is away from the roads, and people seem to respect the quietness. You can easily walk to the center of Ubud, but also go for a walk into the rice fields areas.

Love the tidy and clean room. A family room (2 bedrooms) where I was staying with my wife and little daughter has big terrace equipped with small kitchen. Price is affordable. Breakfast is simple, yet there are local places around where you can buy full breakfast.

4.5 stars. In terms of room condition and facilities, this is so far, one of the best guesthouses I stayed in Bali. Ruman Taman is a hidden gem. Staffs, Made and Pasek are very friendly and helpful. You can reach them via WhatsApp if you can't find them at the front desk. Room is amazing with your own kitchenette and own water dispenser! Even though, there isn't a kettle to boil water, there is a pot where you can do that. What I like most about this room, is that there is privacy and well-lit, I could read with just the bedside light. The wifi is good and I could work comfortablely in my room the whole day. Location is a little far from the main area, but there are still many good cafes around. Morning walk is nice and this place is quiet, but still feel safe. I really enjoyed my 3 nights stay here. I had some problem with my AC remote at 11.30pm, but couldn't contact any staff to help me. To owner, if you see this message, maybe you need to look into having one more person who can take the night shift. Unfortunate things do happen in the middle of the night.šŸ˜…. That's the only small issue I have. Nevertheless, it is still an enjoyable stay for me and I will come back here again. Ps: this is the only guesthouse among others I stayed in Bali who provides a hand towel.ā¤ļø

Stayed here for 4 nights and loved it!! The room is good and comfortable, clean bathroom and the bonus is that there a lovely private balcony as well as a small kitchenette with all basic utensils provided. This was great because it was raining in Ubud for our entire stay and we could do some cooking in the room. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place!

A very nice accomodation with a good price. Room is spacious, good toilet, good ac, quite. Nice verandah with kitchen plus utensils and small fridge. Internet a little bit slow but hey, its holiday. Free breakfast consisted unlimited fresh fruits, bread butter jam, tea and coffee. The owner and staffs are very nice and helpful. The room is cleaned everyday. Will always stay here if visiting Ubud again.

We arrived the guest house direct from Airport. Took some time to find the place. It's a bit far from the center. You have to walk a lot to get to the center. Street is narrow not possible to get in by car. Free breakfast was included. However, breakfast was very simple and could be better (only toasts with jam and butter, and some other fruits). Breakfast served in the entrance/lobby of the guest house (which is a bit small for breakfast). Did face some problem with the shower. Apart from all of these, a very good place to stay and good value for money. Rooms were quiet with comfortable bed. Big specious balcony with the kitchen. The view was also good.

My go to place whenever I stay in Ubud. Rumah Taman is pretty secluded, another kilometre from the main tourist spot. You have to walk through a small alley to reach the receptionist. They will welcome you cheerfully, and very helpful during your stay. The room is very spacey and quiet, with no vehicle sound at all. It got water heater, balcony, and your own kitchen. Overall, if you're looking for an escape from crowded place, Rumah Taman is the perfect choice.

As a European I must say that it is a very good hotel for this price !! Warm welcome, great room with very comfortable bed sheets and mattress. The location is perfect if you rent a scooter as it is 1km from downtown so you fully avoid the noise / croud. You can make sure you won't have a wrong surprise. Enjoy !!

I will definitely go back to this place. This hotel is such a gem! Room size was okay and not too narrow, ensuite bathroom was spacious in comparison to similar hotel. The room was clean and the staffs were so nice. It also has veranda with small kitchen and utilities + dining bar + paddy field view. The best thing was that this place was quite. Breakfast option was limited (bread + fruits - but hey, you can always walk to the nearest cafe walking distance). One thing to note, to reach the hotel you need to walk a narrow lane 50 meter off the main road, but all's good.
