We visited Bali end of January and chose to stay over 2 nights at this place. The road to entry the hotel quite small, so we have to walk down the small road. Just bike can pass. But when we see the hotel with romantic set up for us was so nice, the room is large with the balcony that you can sit and enjoy the view of the rice field. And the bath room has the large bath and kind of big. The staff at the hotel really nice and helpful with everything we asked. If you want to rent a good price of bike, I recommend to ask the reception to arrange for you then you will got good price. Breakfast not so fantastic but still on with the reasonable price that you pay. And also if u need transfer from airport to the hotel, better use hotel service which is cheaper than the taxi at the airport. So we love this place so much, turn out that this place is one of the best place we wanna go back.

Situated down a well located alleyway this hotel looks very impressive. The staff are the best thing about the place, happy, smiling and always willing to help. The hotel itself is in need of refurbishment, it's obvious that some work has been done within the rooms but it isn't to a particularly high standard. The pool is large and internally clean but around the sides is dirty as is the pool furniture. The cafe is ok but nothing spectacular, neither is the food. My sons bed linen was heavily stained and damp, it should have been thrown away, the towels were old and holed. Added to the shabbiness of this hotel the persistent barking dogs and the 6:30 morning wake up by next door's cockerel then it didn't make for a great few days. As stated at the beginning, the location is great for local bars and restaurants.

All that is shown online as per the pictures it is spot on in regards to the hotel room and pool. Otherwise the food menu was limited to one noodle one rice and breakfast also had few options. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms clean and spacious. Closet too small. Bathroom was bit uncomfortable as the flooring. Was bit slippery and things weren't in place. Overall a good experience. Good for two to three day stay.

Loved the beauty of the rooms and setup, however steep stairs make access harder for those with weak knees

The entrance to get the cottage is off the road and there is about 100m walk to get to the cottage and can be a bit difficult if you have heavy or more than one piece of luggage. There are also stairs to get to the rooms but there was someone available to assist with that. We just gave a tip to say thank you. What was good: Central location Friendly staff Breakfast was ok Air conditioning worked well Fridge was functioning Double beds Pool is nice Help available with luggage down and backup to reception Budgeted accommodation What can be improved: Room had a musty smell There were ants in the room and saw one gecko The basin leaked twice, forming water puddles in the room but it was attended to pretty quickly There was no soap at the sink and the liquids in bathroom were no labelled in bathroom Metal covering back of the bathroom door was peeling and it was easy to scratch your fingers when shutting the door Glass entrance door had a hole and was cracking Milk containers served with coffee and tea were cracked and had black marks Bread served at breakfast was stale The paint on the wall was bubbling There were random holes on the roof Bathroom had no exhaust Toilet was wobbly and not secured completely. Also water was constantly leaking inside the bowl

this hotel was such a surprise !! one street away from main road in ubud, quiet at night beautiful the inside with these room/apartment that looks like nest and the swimming pool at the bottom creating this wonderful perception ! the only downside " might be " for those without a scooter ( which i rented in ubud) or a car cause even if location is in downtown to go from there to main road there is a little bit of walking BUT that said the hotel at that price was like a gift !!!staff extremely nice and helpful !

Gosh what an amazing experience! The staff are always smiling and helpful, kind and welcoming. I loved my room, it was very spacious with beautiful interior, a cupboard and a big shower. The view from my room was gorgeous and the breakfast every morning was nice. I loved going for a morning swim everyday too. Didn’t want to leave! Highly recommended!

The property is a bit old one, nevertheless compensates with big rooms foreseeing the beautiful pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Please keep in mind, it's not suitable for old people as you have to get down the steps and again climb up other stairs to access rooms in top floor. Also cars can't go near the property as the road is a bit narrow. But definitely way way worth the pricing

Had an amazing stay at this beautiful and peaceful place. With so much greenery outside your balcony, it feel like you are living in a jungle even though it is at the center of Ubud. Very convenient location. It is a bit of a walk in a narrow street to reach this place but they help you out with your luggage from car to room if you ask them, so not an issue. The room and bathroom are so spacious and the staff is super helpful. Has paid breakfast available which is good if you are in a rush in the morning. Would definitely stay here again next time.

It’s a nice hotel in some ways, but we had a pretty average experience compared to the other places we have stayed in Bali and don’t recommend it for family trips; Hotel down a long path not convenient to reach. Check in took about an hour as there was an error with how our booking was submitted to their system. Most importantly though; The pool was so heavily chlorinated it gave my wife and kids rashes and then my bed had bed bugs.

Very nice cottages hotel in Munduk in a quiet road with beautiful view on the valley and mountains. Small swimming pool in a stunning position with view. Very nice and helpful staff. Rooms a bit dated but very clean. Small breakfast but tasty and well prepared. They prepare wonderful fresh mix fruit juice. The restaurant is very good and good prices. I strongly recommend this place.

Was a very nice, relaxing and quiet stay here for our few days. They have a nice pool , staff very friendly and accomodating. Good location quick walk to the local mini mart, felt very comfortable and safe in my short stay here at Ubud. Only down part is the rooms the mould smell is very triggering for asthmatics 2 nights and I was barking like a dog come morning. I would definitely stay here again I know the mould is a common issue in Indonesia but I wouldn’t be able to have a long stay here unfortunately. Just a warning to my asthmatic queens and kings, remember your puffer 🫶🏽.

Terrible place to stay. There’s mold and mildew crawling around the walls. I believe the dark stone in the bathroom is hiding the mold as well. The bed had ants crawling in it and the door wouldn’t shut. To their credit they did eventually fix the door. I personally don’t think it’s worth it to stay here and subject yourself to breathing in the mold and mildew that’s prominent here. On a good note it’s a great place to book for a photo shoot. Also WiFi is non existent.

Very kind staff, nice pool. Some upstairs rooms smelled of sewer sometimes but otherwise the stay was average. Would go there again.

Good location. Close to different cafes , not too far from Ubud Palace. Stuff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast wasn’t very good , I would recommend to go to the cafes nearby.

The Alam Terrace Cottage is a nice place to stay overall. It's situation is pretty good even though you can't get to the entrance by car. You have to follow a small route. The pool is small but enough to have a good time, the staff is serviable. My only big concern is the bedroom/bathroom. The bed is quite hard and the matress has seen better days. It's also very very squeaky. Tha bathroom is quite dangerous as well. They chose to put an open shower, which means that the water goes on the floor, flooding the whole thing. It becomes extremely slippery. Be carreful. Especialy if you wake up at night for pipi.

Had a nice 1 night stay here. Nice big clean rooms. I had Nice views from the balcony while eating my tasty breakfast. The only downside was the small passage that you had to walk down to get to the property.

Lovely accommodation Friendly and helpful staffs Room was big, and clean. You can order (a night before) breakfast to eat right in front your room - looking out for the view. There are 2 options: american breakfast or Indonesian fried rice (not available for early morning). I enjoyed breakfast very much especially i could set the my own time of breakfast and where to eat. Short walk to ubud town centre- about 10mins. It locates in very narrow street - we were lost at first, but once you know the location - it is super easy to reach everything. Quiet street but still reach the town by walking. Really recommended this hotel. Quiet, good location, and clean!

Excellent place for the price. Location is pretty central too. Very good for people of scooter, otherwise its a fair walking distance from the main street. Suggest travelling light for this accommodation. Breakfast is below average. Pool is clean. Staff are lovely. There was no fridge in the room and the staff let us use their fridge for food.

Rooms are clean, staff are very friendly. Laundry service is available at a fair price. Complimentary breakfast was pretty good too - but if you want any Indonesian dishes you need to order the night before. Pool officially closes at 7pm so if you're a fan of late night pool parties this may not be the place for you.

I have some mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel. The rooms are spacious, the grounds are beautiful, the pool is great, and the staff is friendly. I had some concerns about the quality of the room, however. Most disturbing was the quality of the bed. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed on a harder, squeakier mattress. So, the sleep was uncomfortable causing me to shift in the middle of the night, making a loud squeak, waking up my wife, who then moves creating a squeak and so on throughout the night. I don’t know if I’ve ever left a hotel feeling less rested than I did when I checked out after 4 nights. More than once during the sleepless nights when I got up to go to the restroom, I had quite a fright at some of the gnarly looking bugs with pinchers walking around. You can imagine that this didn’t improve the quality of rest. Lastly, the room had an overwhelming smell of mildew. I really encourage the hotel to find ways of combating this because it was concerning.
