Amazing family owned hotel! Location is perfect, few meters away from the road accessed thru a little path between rice fields. It looks like a little enchanted neighborhood straight from a book! The rooms are unreal, typical Balinese style very comfy, bathrooms are lovely. Very clean. The family that owns it is extremely friendly. The pool was very much enjoyed by our kids. I don't how our stay in Ubud could have been any better. Definitely a "must stay" little hotel!

We booked three nights here and spent two days looking for another Hotel, location is fairly central, breakfast is good. The room we had was damp with a massive water leak and no mattress protector on it. now that may not seem like a big deal but if you take into consideration amount of people sleeping in a bed its very unhygenic. The pool has simlar charactistics to a garden pond.

For me it's the best location to stay on Ubud. You Will Be living on the middle of rice fields away from busy traffic in Ubud. In the night you only hear cricets and frogs. Still a short walk to the main road. Nice pool, very friendly staff. My second time staying here. Rooms are bit outdated but still cozy enough. Good breakfast and coffee avaiable for free any time. Well worth of money. Would stay 3rd time also.

We planned to stay only one night here but we stayed 3. The surroundings of your room are amazing, you are sleeping between rice fields. Breakfast is included and delicious! You can choose between different things the day before. People are helpful and friendly as well.

Booked for 1 night but stayed for more than a week. Extremely nice place, its very quite at the end of a alleyway, the family is more than helpfull to make you feel at home, nice pool, nice breakfast, serene and tranquil atmosphere and the rooms are cheap and spacious. The area is jalan Bisma, close to centre but without all the hussle and busle of the centre. Would definitely stay here again next time, highly recommended

Location is good for walking around, you can park your bike and walk around. Breakfast is OK, I would recommend having the banana fritters, wasn't a fan of the fruit juice or fruit due to personal preference. The bedrooms on the otherhand ... old, and In need of a refurb and repair of roof as Water damage came in from the rain 🌧 and the room had this damp musky smell to it. The pool isn't really a pool more like a pond converted but in need of some TLC Wouldn't not recommend.

Cozy and lovely house/hotel as well as the hosts, really friendly and willing to help you with anything you need from transportation to touristic packages to near islands. If you are used to luxury this is not your place, I was looking for Bali vibe but confortable place and I found it in here. Room(good A/C), terrace view, bathroom (hot water), pool area and swimming pool are 5/5. You can hear crickets and frogs at night since you are next to a rice field but I still could sleep really well. The only con is the entrance that you have to walk for 3 mins maybe to get to the house and if you use a scooter you have to be careful because is a narrow road. I would stay here again, for the price I payed I even feel that I got more. Thank you Made and family for such a nice stay.

I lived in many places in Ubud already, and Ala's is the only one I want to get back. It's a peace and quiet here, friendly family and staff , perfect views. Furniture is a little old but rooms are very cozy, equipped with all you need Here I feel like I'm at my grandmother's garden, but in Bali) Recommended!

Lovely accommodation away from the noisy main road and yet everything is within walking distance. Nice large rooms with garden view. There is also a room overlooking the rice fields. Very nice and helpful hosts. Breakfast is delivered to the room. Small smears in the bathroom, but overall really clean. We would love to come back...

A cute little traditional Balinese homestay style hotel. We were served breakfast to our room every morning with tea/coffee and a smoothie, lots of options to choose from. It was peaceful (although being on the bottom floor next to the rice paddies meant we heard alllll the insects and small animals at night) but close enough to the main strip to walk- the route was a little slippy so be careful. Make sure you get a room upstairs with a proper shower as ours was a little bath with a shower attachment. The pool was nice, the setting was idyllic, and the WiFi was okay! Lovely lovely hosts. Right near Warung Gauri, which would also thoroughly recommend. Worth it for the price we paid.

Nice place to stay, good service, nice and fancy rooms. Just some minutes away from Ubud center but you feel like beeing somewhere on countryside. It is calm, rice fields left and right. A little more expensive than other homestays or Hotels, but totally worth it. We stayed here for two nights (about 600k INR) and really enjoyed the time. The "outdoor" bathroom was a highlight :) I can recommend Ala's Green Lagoon.

Amazing experience ! It's run by a family who lives on site. The rooms are beautiful, the food is great. From our view, we had a view on a peaceful rice field and on the other side, there is a massage and spa facility where you can just have a drink or book a massage. Our daughter was 1 year old at the time. She was absolutely fine and loved it as well.

The location is great just a couple of minutes off quiet and charming Bisma St., just a short walk to Ubud centre or Ubud Yoga House. The rooms were clean, the staff were very nice, and so was the breakfast with a big menu to choose from. The hotel area and the rooms are very nice and better looking than any photo!

Very clean rooms with breakfast. Nice view and good pool. Good and clean bed !! Slept very well. Lovely balcony on most rooms. We where on the first level and had a good view of the ricefields. It was so nice we stayed four days =).

Couldn't recommend this place enough! The room was spacious, beautiful, and clean. For the same price as other hotels down the street, Ala's has AC in the room, delicious breakfast included, and super nice and helpful staff. They went out of their way to arrange an extra early taxi for me when I was leaving, and even packed me a to go breakfast! Location is also nice - just a quick walk down a pathway from the main road.

This place is amazing, held in a traditional bali style, big comfortable rooms with air con and big comfortable beds and a huge fridge stocked up with water and bintangs. Price if water and beer are very attractive and so is the price of the room. Pool is clean and nice. Bathrooms are awesome. The staff is extremely friendly. Close to monkey forest (15 minutes on foot) and a great trekking place. Around 10 minutes to the Kings Palace where You can see the fire dance. Food was awesome. Lots of plants on the premises will give you a feeling of relaxation. Basically this is the place you want to stay at. The only bad thing is that we had to go.

😠 We stayed here in April 2023 at the beginning of our 6 month Asian adventure. 2 months have passed and this hotel still gives us reoccurring nightmares. I’ll start with the very few positives: 1. Great location in central Ubud, near the markets which are bustling during the day but are dead silent...
