A mediocre homestay that probably would have been okay to stay in for a couple of nights, if they hadn't overbooked and tried to put me in a tiny, dark, damp room right across the reception and right next to a guy pounding some concrete with a mallet. To my comment that the room they are trying to give is NOT the room I booked, they offered NOT an apology but a "we aren't a 5-star hotel, we're a guesthouse so if you don't like it, just leave" and a very interesting "what can we do"... Here's what you can do, incompetent hosts: STOP GREEDILY OVERBOOKING ROOMS and set up listings for each room type you have so that people coming in would get the room they booked! Is that so difficult to do?? You have nothing else to do in life aside from hospitality, and it's really really not rocket science. Also, learn some manners.

We stayed at Ojek's for a month and enjoyed it thoroughly. What we appreciated: the very central location as we were in walking distance of everything but the moment you stepped through the gates onto the property, it was quiet and calm, the smiles, friendly service and lovely hospitality of Madi, Beyangi, Atna and Sunjeya (apologies if spelled incorrect), breakfasts of fruit, eggs, toast and coffee, sumptuous lunches of kebab (as per the menu) but looked more like a wrap, comfortable bed, free water and fairly good wifi. Nice to have would have been a space to hang clothes even if it were a couple of hooks against a wall and a small table to put your suitcases on. Every room has two plugpoints, a fan, a small table, two chairs and a clothes rack. There is a laundry facility on the premises and they would arrange transport if you needed it. The garden is kept neat. We were in room 15 and will go back. Great stay!

Like many other homestay this one also is also really cheap. Location is perfect as it's located almost in central Ubud. Try not to book the cheapest room that they give because that one seems to be for the backpackers who won't be staying back in the room much and also they don't have AC in those rooms. The other rooms are perfect and you would get more than what you paid for. Breakfast was nice as well. I loved how they have separate sitting spaces where we can sit and even chat with others staying there or if you are a big group then you can gather there have a drink and have fun.

We are a couple and our impressions about this place have been slightly different, so I’ll report both positions. We agree on the fact that the garden, the atmosphere, the cleaning and breakfast were perfect. To be honest, the rooms are very small and dark, the bathroom is very very very basic and the smell of dump is quite strong. Here comes the disagreement between the two of us: one thinks that because of this wouldn’t go again (in spite of the lovely general atmosphere), the other one feels that the energy of the place was soooo nice and relaxing that would go again for sure, though admitting the flaws of the rooms. We leave the final decision up to you, adding that the owners are lovely and helpful people. Water dispensers, great bonus!

Friendly, funny, very accommodating staff. Great price includes a complete breakfast! Hidden on the alleys of the main street of Ubud so super quiet. But only minutes away from the sacred monkey forest, royal palace, and shopping/yoga street. Shared bathrooms. The area is cleaned and maintained everyday as the main staff lives in the property so always around if in need of anything. The rooms are clean and beds are super comfy. The entire place is a garden, very serene. They offer motorbike rentals as well as tours and shuttles. Would definitely recommend!

Ojek's Homestay is by far the best budget homestay in Ubud! The staff are welcoming and friendly. They have a choice of budget rooms with shared bathroom facilities, rooms with private ensuite bathrooms and beautiful newly constructed larger suites with air-conditioning. The staff clean the rooms and the entire grounds every day. The gardens are beautiful and you are surrounded by lovely plants and water features. Each room has a front porch with table and seating. There is a large community dining area where free breakfast is served every morning. They have an onsite laundry service which includes washing, drying and ironing. My first stay was for 3 weeks and I loved every minute. I have tried other homestays for a similar price and they were terrible in comparison. I cancelled my accommodation at another place to come back and stay at Ojek's Homestay again and even ended up getting the same room! As a solo female traveler, I feel very safe and comfortable here. Definitely recommend!

It was peaceful and calm. I choose the cheapest room, it's still spacious for me. Glad that the sharing shower rooms has hot water. If you want to experience Balinese house environment then try this one. So beautiful.

"bed bugs, just avoid" Upon arrival to Leket, we were led to this homestay, even though we booked online for Leket. Although we suspect the family might own both properties, this was unprofessional and unacceptable. Especially due to the one we were led to, having way worse reviews. Both places were connected and looked quite shabby. Anyhow, our room was quite dirty and we found out that it was also infested with bed bugs. We're glad we quickly checked the bed before sleeping and went away because we were quite disgusted with what we saw. Additionally, the shower in our room was not functioning. When we brought up these issues, in a relaxed manner, to the hotel owner and requested a refund after having seen the room, we were met with hostility and baseless accusations. Especially due to us also not getting the room/homestay we booked, we felt quite disappointed with this reaction, but we just left. It's not worth getting bed bug bites over. But yeah, instead of acknowledging and addressing our concerns, the owner became defensive and got quite angry. I find that unacceptable. The homestay was also located on a sketchy, dark street in Ubud. A very disappointing experience. I strongly recommend avoiding these two homestays and finding alternative accommodation in the otherwise beautiful but full town of Ubud.

Would not recommend to stay in this guesthouse. The rooms are filled with black mould, walls are made of paper it looks like, you can hear everything the next door person is doing or saying, loud during the night having people smoking and drinking outside the rooms, all the smoke would come into your room. In overall a pretty traumatic experience, would not recommend, the only thing good about this place it’s the location but there are much better guesthouses within the same location for a similar price.

Lucky to find this Homestay. Clean, good service and friendly staff. Also they have a small temple inside surrounded by plants. It feels you are into Indonesian culture. Also really competitive prices including breakfast!

Great place to stay. The yard is beautiful and well maintained. The yard of the homestay is a far cry from the alley leading up to it. It exudes an amalgamation of lush green garden and homely haven to it. Single room is spacious and adequately fitted. There is no safe though, if you're looking for one, and the door lock is a bit of an inconvenience. There are plenty of options for breakfast, even for the complementary ones. You get to have the breakfast at a gazebo among the gardens. The overall ambience of the place itself is worth it for the rates. It's also situated smack dab at the heart of Ubud, so you'll have plenty of food options to choose from within the vicinity of the homestay.

Just an easy place to stay in Ubud, nothing Fancy but nothing too simple. Showers are okay and bed is comfortable which is all you’ll really use the homestay for as you’re in Ubud! Laundry is quick and actually smells nice. Overall good value for money

Every single on of the staff members were sweet, friendly and more than happy to help you. Breakfast was yummy and a nice size with a tea, coffee or watermelon juice. Hot showers, good fan in the room- was definitely too cool some night we had it on very low which was good as it’s always louder having a fan on the highest setting. We would happily stay again, love love loved it. Thank you

I loved stay for 10 days. It s really good location if your intention is to enjoy the centre of ubud and maybe doing yoga at radiantly alive. The market and super good restaurants are around you as well. Although the location, this place is away from the noise. Beautiful garden and great breakfast. You have many different options. The owner is always present and friendly. I would definitely stay again. Good price. Different rooms available : ensuite room with a really slow fan, ensuite with a/c and normal room super cheap but the mattress is on the floor. The place is well kept and pretty clean. You have a comunal space for breakfast and hangouts, but people are quiet and respectful.

Not recommended. Not good vibes in this place at all, the rooms are nothing like the photos, its dirty, smelly, dark and they are very unfriendly…

Good location very close to the city and quiet. The homestay looks nice, clean and tidy. For the price we paid (the cheapest) it was fair. Hot shower on shared bathrooms. Friendly staff. The room was very basic, a bit small and dark and the window not easy to open and close. Unfortunately we had noisy guests in the next room so it was annoying but it’s not the hotel fault. Breakfast was ok. Good variety but a bit small comparing to other places in Bali. No tea or coffee included. No towels.
