Some things you should know. First, the space is recessed away from the road which is wonderful. It means that it's nice and quiet and you'll likely only hear roosters and the people above you moving furniture. Our unit included free breakfast which was fine, but gets monotonous after a number of days. Our unit was a ground floor unit and had sliding-door style entrance to the outside, so little ants, bugs, and mosquitoes made their way in. (You are in a jungle after all) We found them on the wall, scurrying on the floor and sometimes ants on the bed. The unit did have A/C, but even on full-power it was very quiet and could not keep up with the afternoon heat. Also, it would randomly turn off throughout the day and night so we got pretty warm. It's not the kind of A/C I enjoy. There are a handful of stairs to navigate from the main road to the units, again a few to the restaurant, then a few more to the pool. All quite doable. The shower had great water pressure and hot water. Location wise it's a nice walk to the main Ubud street, and other side streets to the south. The entire area is quite touristy now and you'll find everything you could imagine quite easily within a 20 minute walk.

We booked the hotel for 7 days. On the 5th day we left it, because we really were not satisfied with it. Just to name some facts: we had room 106 (room with access to the pool). There was mold on every wall in the bathroom. Unfortunately, the bathroom smelled very unpleasant and everything was clammy. All in all the room was not clean. If you value cleanliness, the hotel is a poor choice. The furniture is really old and broken. The pillowcases had stains. We drank coffee in the room. The dishes for it were not cleaned for days. It was only cleaned when we brought it to the kitchen ourselves. This was not only the case once, but again and again. The staff speaks just basic English. They do not understand words like "available", "replacement" and so on. To note something positive: in the hotel you dont hear the street noise, because it is located a little further back. The complex itself is also very nice. But that's all I can say about it. If you are blinded by reviews here that the hotel is located in the middle of the rainforest, you have never really been to the rainforest. You have a really nice view into the densely overgrown garden. But this is not a rainforest. Ubud is a city.... Where is the rainforest supposed to come from? Admittedly, the hotel is not the most expensive, but also not the cheapest. However, there is a lack of basics here to spend a relaxing vacation. It's a big mystery to me how all these good reviews here came about. I would never ever come back here.

Absolutely amazing stay at this place!!! Highly recommended if you stay in ubud!!! The captivating terrace gardens surrounding the pool are very romantic and relaxing 😌 The staff went above and beyond, very friendly and helpful πŸ‘ πŸ‘ even when we witnessed an extremely rude and obnoxious hotel guest they kept their composure and remained professional The breakfast food was extremely delicious and fantastic selection The dragon fruit smoothy bowl 🀀🀀🀀

One of the most beautyfull cottage i have seen, an extremely friendly staff who welcome me, , accompanied by a welcome drink. The room is fantastic and super clean, the bathroom is spacious and fully equipped. Furthermore, the pool with fountains in the middle of this oasis is a joy for the mind Add to that the fact that the price is also very friendly, so what's stopping you.

We (2pax) stayed for 6 nights. Hotel staff was extremely kind and location was amazing to just walk around. Many shops, warungs (restaurants) and spas are in walking distances! Food is one of the best in the area (try the tuna avocado salad - so good!) but make sure you arrive on time, outside of breakfast/ lunch hours you will not be served. The staff is very helpful when it comes to organising day trips and prices are very fair. Rooms are as expected / shown in pictures. We had the nicest jungle view from our balcony to wake up to. They offer free yoga at 7:30am on Wednesday and Saturdays. Overall it was a great experience and we would come again.

We booked the hotel for 7 days, but will leave at day 5. The hotel is pretty old and the buildings don't get any attention for the problems they have. Broken tiles, moldy walls, clammy towels and bedsheets just to name some of the things which should be taken care of. The drinks are small, but expensive and not that tasty because of the used alcohol... All in all - don't go there.

This hotel is just ok and maybe below average compared to other hotels we have stayed in on Bali. The site isn’t huge so the rooms feel a bit on top of each other/ lacking privacy. The rooms are pretty dated and could use a refresh, the daily room cleaning not very thorough. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming, feels like more effort could be made here. In terms of positives - the gardens are really lovely and the pool area pretty and It’s a good location

Beautiful experience! Pricey but worth it. Amazing view and super comfy bed. Great massage! Perfect swimming pool. Recommended for a great location, friendly staff and blissful scenery. The bathroom shower needs a good scrub, it's grimey. Restaurant became expensive due to service charges. Overall 8/10.

It's paradise in the middle of all the hustle bustle of Central Ubud. Staff is super friendly and attentive. The compound is lush green and devoid of the sounds of traffic, even when it is really on one of the busy street. There are 4 floors. You enter the top floor from the road, then rooms on the 2nd floor, restaurant on the 1st and swimming pool on the ground floor. I would come back to this place next time.

I came here to rest my broken foot for a few days. Couldn’t of chosen a nicer place to do it. Great shower and a bath. Spotted some amazing wildlife in the stream that you can see from the pool. Great food and service. Super comfy bed.

please avoid. we could not take a shower or even wash our hands because the water is so dirty (black color)-see video and photo attached.I wish I read the comment better. I booked it for 2 nights but we left after 1 day immediately. The room is smelly, very old woth mould. We could not sleep at all because there are 2 lizzards in the room. I can understand it is the habitat but there are ways to avoid it. The lady in the front desk and the staff are very helpful. But Avoid at any cost. There are plenty of other options.

What a beautiful place to stay! The price was so cheap it was shocking when you consider how amazing the place is. The staff were a amazing and the included breakfasts was fantastic. A must stay. Just down the road were some rice fields which made a beautiful walk.

Depends on the rooms. Some are better than others. We stayed close to the pool and the rooms there are extremely humid and dark. Rooms higher up are better. Crazy rooster was our neighbor.

Couldn't rate this hotel highly enough. An absolute paradise of a location with stunning surrounds, very friendly staff and exceptional rooms. Breakfast is cooked to order and you pick from a good menu including eggs and bacon or more traditional Balinese food like Nasi Goreng. The pool is beautiful and gets the sun much of the day. Can occasionally get popular but there aren't so many rooms it would ever get too busy. Just a truly wonderful place and I wouldn't hesitate to return.

This place was fine. The rooms and resort were less luxurious than we were expected but they were still clean. The food was the low point. It was extremely basic. I recommend eating off of the property, there are a lot of good spots nearby. We stayed in the "honeymoon suite" and expected a certain standard that wasn't met. Overall this was a fine stay for Ubud, middle of the road property.

Hotel provides simple 3 star accommodations in a tropical atmosphere. What makes this hotel so enjoyable is the staff. They were warm, inviting and accommodated all our requests 😊

Good location in Ubud. The rooms are very spacious. Cleaning could be done better, especially the mosquito net around the bed hadn't been washed in a long time, it had an odd smell. Pool is nice enough and the breakfast place has a beautiful view.

You can't go past Dessk Putu Cottages. Clean, affordable and nice little Cafe for breakfast, lunch & dinner. I will definitely go back with no hesitation.

Very nice location and super nice staff. Some repairs here and there in the rooms would be great but overall a very good choice when in Ubud!

Had a lovely one night stay in one of the deluxe rooms! Was extremely zen to go to bed and wake up to the sounds of the rainforest. The sky was especially starry at night as you’re able to see all the stars from the room. Great bang for your buck and a good distance away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough that you can walk to the streets for food and shopping. Will definitely come here again.

Very difficult to get grab taxi so only choice is to get the local taxi which will up charge you so you'll have to negotiate with them. Lots of good food and shopping to be done in the area. Resort is great, amazing staff, good facility and good breakfast included and nice quiet and peaceful view in resort. Definitely will be coming back.
