I've stayed at the guesthouse during my whole stay in Ubud and this place has become my second home. The people who work there are amazingly kind, helpful and proactive. The place is perfectly maintained and neat plus the breakfast is delicious as well! Oh and the owners are always ready to give you some addresses if needed and simply do their best to make your stay there as comfortable and personal as possible. So if you're looking for a relaxed and modern place to stay just around the corner from the city center, you have found the right spot!

***BED BUGS*** Our stay here was disappointing. The bed sheets had black stains from dead bed bugs. In the bed frame there were bed bug nests and bed bugs crawling in the bed. This should have been noticed from the hosts and taken care of before they had guests. We got a few bites/rashes from them and had to get all our laundry and bags cleaned. The appearance of the room is clean but the bed was awful. We got a little more than half of the refund, when we should have gotten a FULL REFUND. I would hope that from now on they will check all the beds for bed bugs and make sure the sheets are washed/clean prior to their guests arriving. I am VERY disgusted and upset by this. This is a hygienic problem, and as we could see by the number of bed bugs they had definitely been there for a long time. I would guess a month or so. This is a big problem as bed bugs quickly spread and I do not need to bring this problem back home to my bed/clothes. I hope this review will help others make a decision, and for the hosts to have a better standard to not allow this to happen.

Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Ubud, Bali! Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the staff(especially Tony and Putu) who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality! Staff warmly welcomed us and carried our luggage from the main road to the stay(about 70mtrs inside the lane). We were very hungry upon arrival as our flight delayed a bit and the Airport usual activities(immigration and customs check) took more time. We asked if they had something ready, instead their cooking staff wasn't there they offered us noodles(for that they didn't even charge us!) The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!). We had five great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience.

Excellent stay! We stayed in a twin private room with en suite, a nice clean room with good amounts of room. Staff are all lovely and friendly and we were able to rent a really good scooter for 70,000k a day. Has two pools which are good and sun beds around them. Breakfast was great and different each day - noodles, then banana pancakes and then scrambled eggs and toast; all coming with fruit each day! Cannot fault this place love it and a short walk into town and lots of good cafes and restaurants nearby

Very cost effective! Highly recommended. We got executive triple room with balcony (27m). Nice service, great responsive team, simple breakfast (maybe too simple), internet is not stable for the video-calls or webinars (in/out all the time), 2 pools (sometimes greenish), many sitting zones.

We found this hotel via Air Bnb and our stay here was so nice! If you’re searching for a very clean room & amazingly kind hosts this one is a perfect fit! We had breakfast included without even knowing & Eddi helped us out with everything! With finding a motorcycle, when I lost my credit card and it was no problem to extend our stay there. We felt extremely comfortable & like family. Thanks for everything!

Askara guesthouse is cozy with a very friendly staff and very good atmosphere. It also works as a hostel but our stay was not disturbed by that fact. Since Ubud have a lot to do Askara is a very convenient place to stay, value for money is very good and you have breakfast included. They also rent scooters which is a nice touch and way cheaper than using taxis. 5/5 stars.

Very clean. Esther and staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was very close to city center, maybe 5 min scooter drive. All around great experience. Would go back again for sure.

Couldn't imagine a better place for my stay in Ubud- the staff are absolutely lovely, and the room and facilities are 10/10. Everything is clean and honestly feels quite luxurious. Plus the location is really convienient being a quick 10 minute walk to the start of the ubud centre. Highly recommend, and would absolutely book again!

Wonderful hostel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Asty and the Komang’s made our stay that much better. Very lovely people πŸ™ The beds were comfortable and a good size. Really nice vibe and atmosphere in the chilling areas. Everything was kept immaculately clean and well looked after. My favourite hostel to date. Overall:10/10 it was great to meet you all and we will definitely be returning 😁

The room it was dirty, with a noisy and hard bed, we preferred to leave after one night, can get better stay for almost same price, internet is very poor , parking is a big problem . Felt hosts are more welcoming in all other places we stayed in bali

Great staff and beautiful hostel! Pool right outside our room, great breakfast every morning, ranging from French toast, to pancakes, to eggs and toast. We rented a bike for our entire stay because it’s about a 30 minute walk to the village centre. Not much close by food wise so I recommend renting a scooter.

Pretty nice place. Lovely rooms, nice view from 3rd floor. Silent, calm. Little parking area and there is no sign that warns you to park there and to not move further. Prices are low, breakfast is so-so but still not bad. Good atmosphere.
