Udaipur is an overwhelming city, crowded with glamorous palaces and lakes, and thronged markets. This little place on hathipole market was our respite from the bustle. The food was very affordable, and everything they put on our plate was comforting and light, without being bland. The servers and staff made us feel like we were guests in their home, insisting we take second helpings of everything and making recommendations. You can order al-la-carte, but I’d strongly recommend the lunch/dinner thalis.

Have been a frequent customer for past 7 years, they have one of the best homely food served in udaipur. Really good food with acceptable prices. The dishes changes on daily basis but everyday the food is tasty. A must for those living without any kitchen facilities and have to eat daily outside, it won't affect your health.

I m form gujrat, my car got breakdown in front of kanak dining hall on 27/10/22 , i kept my family in kanak for lunch & i went to find mechanic & then towed the car to garage, meanwhile my mother got severe loose motion ,the owner & his staff took extreme care of my family in my absence ,they also gave medicine to my mother, & in last they personally arranged a auto riksha for my family to reach where I was getting my car repaired, i m very very thankful to owner & entire family and staff of kanak dining... We had Rajasthani thali it felt like we came to someone's home they way they served us was very welcoming. Lot of chatnis, khichdi and rajastani kadhi, aloo matar, paneer, dal and some soury thing (which i loved the most). They also served butter tawa roti, khichdi and chawal. This place is hidden in one of the nooks at Hathipole shopping area. I used google maps for guidance. My family was hungry after all the shopping at noon. The waiters and the owners welcomed us like family and made available a table. We had unlimited thali, the food spread was vast. The food was tasty and does not feel full even after consuming 6-7 butter coated tawa rotis, lots of different sabjis and rice/dal. The papads are worth trying. The gulab jamoons are great as a finishing up sweet. The waiters keep requesting you to have more. The owners ask every customer for feedback which even expensive restaurant at star hotels don't. These guys know what hospitality is. I will sincerely recommend this place to anyone. I will visit again.
