ZERO STARS!!! The most deceptive property in Udaipur. Nothing like it’s pictures. The reception is rude. Out of all the 3 restaurants in the property none of them serve good food and they don’t even allow outside food in the rooms. The swimming pool doesn’t look anything like they show in the pictures and it can be seen from residents living in the other rooms - there is no privacy at all. They said no when we asked if they provide cab service to the airport and didn’t even help us arrange for one! There was a live music event at one of their restaurants that day and they don’t even prioritize reservations for tables for hotel residents. Absolutely overpriced and overrated. I don’t ever write bad reviews for any place for this one definitely deserves it.

The property is showing signs of age. Needs an uplift soon. Room was decent and everything was working. The lake view was okay. Overall no complaints from the room and location. The breakfast was less than adequate and we asked to remove breakfast from the rest of our stay they didn't have any provision for that. The service is slow and the staff seem to have an attitude. Used cutlery spent the whole 8 to 10 hours outside other rooms. Overall if you need a nice clean room to stay with great location and are not expecting to use any service from the hotel I would recommend it.

We got this property booked through an agent, but I am really glad that my husband and I got a chance to experience the aesthetics and beauty of Udaipur - Rajasthan, through Swaroop Vilas. The property is amazing with great hospitality, room service, food quality, staff, ambiance, and much more. We had our 1st wedding anniversary and had requested for a special candlelight dinner, the arrangements made by them for the same just made our evening very special. Kudos to the team, keep up with the good work! Hope to visit here soon :-D

    - Beautiful looking room in terms of decor. The bathroom is decent. - Breakfast is okay, don’t expect excellent food. - Overall, the Haveli is beautifully maintained, and the decor has been done very nicely. - Swimming didn’t seem to have water circulation and was a bit hazy, so I didn’t use it. - I am giving it an extra 5th star for the 24x7 The Pot kitchen, open all night, and a 👏 for the fantastic food they have. The food is primarily continental.

Unsatisfactory Hotel Stay Experience Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to bring certain issues to your attention. Firstly, the service we received during our stay was below par. We encountered several instances where our requests were not handled promptly, and the overall responsiveness of the staff left much to be desired. Moreover, the room provided was not only substandard but also remarkably small, making our stay uncomfortable and cramped. We had anticipated a more spacious and pleasant accommodation, especially considering the amount paid for the reservation. In addition to the physical aspects of our stay, I must highlight the discourteous behavior exhibited by the booking personnel. Dealing with them was an unpleasant experience, and their rudeness was both unexpected and unwarranted. Hope you take note of the same and try to atleast check the booking details and allocate the room accordingly. Booking lady is least concerned and not at all interested. Overall, the combination of poor service, inadequate room conditions, and the discourteous behavior of your booking team has left us thoroughly dissatisfied. We believe that the experience did not align with the value we expected for the money paid. I urge you to investigate these issues and take appropriate measures to ensure that future guests do not encounter similar problems. Constructive feedback is crucial for improvement, and I hope this review serves as an opportunity for your hotel to address the mentioned concerns.

Rooms and service are average. You need to ask for everything because they do not put extra towels dental kits etc. Cable TV subscriptions were not active and even after many follow up it was not activated. The sofas and chair were dirty. The lake view was not that good so don't fall for it. We did spot green fungal on bread jam served for breakfast. Over all it's overpriced for stay.

We stayed in two rooms. The room 102 looked very dodgy. Very small, no windows. room number on the door written on paper. The refrigerator was making a lot of noise, so we switched off. Both the rooms had water leaking from bathroom taps. The leaks caused smells and trip hazards. Shower water heating takes about 2-3 minutes to heat up. Breakfast was decent quality and mix Parking is in the front on the road - ample space. Comparatively, very expensive for the level of quality and amenities.

We reserved a family suite and two superior queen rooms for a two-night stay, totaling $750. The property itself is adequate, but our experience with the service was quite disappointing. Upon check-out, we raised our concerns with the reception staff; however, they simply acknowledged our complaints without offering an apology or any form of compensation. The staff's behavior was rather impolite, and it appears they lack proper training in customer service. This has undoubtedly been one of the most unsatisfactory hotel/resort experiences I've ever encountered.

We booked the hotel for around 2 days. It was a pleasant stay. The hotel is equipped with all the modern facilities, pool and even bar. Breakfast was included with the room booking and room service was also provided. The prices of the food and alcohol was on the higher side. However, the rooftop cafe/bar holds live shows daily which made it a worth while. There are also different types of room facing available which includes garden view, lake view and also pool view.

Poor hotel first office staff and management, with zero communication skills and 100 percent offensive method. Terrible experience. Breakfast buffet should be avoided at all costs. Better to order room service. Just few good points to click pictures else its a waste of money.

The hotel is more concerned if booking is done from them directly. If not, they’ll simply say to your face bluntly that if you would have booked from us directly, we could have think something (for any request placed). When something is said about restaurant, their reply is that it is outsourced and can’t do anything. Other than that rooms and food were ok, location is good. Service is poor as they serve food without cutlery and you have call 2-3 times to get all things in place to eat food.

We were so well taken care of. We booked a suite and it was super comfortable. The property itself is the quintessential boutique haveli experience. The breakfast was simple and refreshing. The rooftop bar had a nice chilled out vibe with live music. Big thank you to our host for making it all so special!

It's not worth it. I didn't feel like I'm staying in some luxurious hotel. Late service. Rooms were just good. They didn't even cleaned the cups as i can see ants on the table and inside the cup. Called for housekeeping but still no one came. I understand everything but it's not worth paying 7k for a room like this. Just an Average stay. All good.

"During my recent three-night stay at Swaroop Villa, a hotel I visited last week, I reserved a Garden View room for myself and my parents. Unfortunately, my experience at this supposedly 4-star establishment was far from satisfactory. Despite my anticipation of offering my parents a wonderful time at a highly-rated hotel, the reality fell short of expectations. While the website showcased spacious rooms and amenities, the actual room we received was cramped for three people, lacking adequate facilities for senior citizens. The most disappointing aspect was the dining experience. Throughout my stay, the dinner menu remained unchanged, with limited breakfast options that didn't reflect the season's fresh produce. Surprisingly, there were no dessert choices, a stark contrast to the anticipated variety. Despite being in Rajasthan, renowned for its cuisine, the hotel failed to offer any local dishes. On my birthday, expecting a celebratory treat, I was informed that I'd have to order a cake externally as the only option available was pancakes. For a purported 4-star establishment, this limited dessert selection was unexpected. Moreover, the room service required repeated requests for basic items, and essentials like toiletries weren't replenished regularly. The cleanliness of cups and glasses was also lacking. In summary, my stay didn't align with the considerable amount I spent at the hotel—a significant disappointment.

Grand hotel with very welcoming staff. Big and spacious rooms with all mordened amenities. Well maintained and clean place. The walls and ceilings are all decorated and it gives a feeling of living in a Palace. The hotel roof top floor gives an amazing lake view. Everything was great! Be it the rooms, food or Staff. It was a great experience as the staff was very cooperative and the food was very good. The rooms were spacious as well as regal.

The rooms were okay but the exterior architecture was good giving palace vibes. Had a partial lake view. Must have dinner at Sangria, their rooftop restaurant with live performances. The staff was polite and helpful.

This is one of the cost economical, decent, near the lake properties in Udaipur. They are an old place yet they try to keep up to the modern standards. Their rooms too are very spacious. Their lake facing rooms and city facing rooms are equally good. I had opted for a lake facing room The views from the balcony are exceptional. The swimming pool is large and deep enough for any water lover. Staff at reception was very helpful and co- operative

It was an absolute pleasurable stay at the hotel. The food, ambience and service was all excellent especially, the Sangria Bar at the rooftop. All three days we stayed at the hotel had either live music performances or DJ night at the bar for guests till late night. The aura was exceptional with the lakeside view while dining out at the rooftop. The Vintage restaurant and the 24x7 Pot Garden Bistro served great food too!! Would highly recommend the stay at the hotel.

Pleasant 2 day stay. Breakfast was part of my package and it was very nice. Got early check-in on request. Hotel interior is very well designed and maintained. SPA, swimming pool and 24 hr coffee shop are main attractions, though none of this was used by me.

The staff on the reception is worst. One of the rudest staff in the city. They have priority for only sangria bar, not for the guest staying at hotel. Bathroom of hotel are in bed condition. Floor was sticky and drain was clogged so after bath water does drain after 10 min. Yes room interior was good and up to the mark. Room service was also good. Breakfast was basic but manageable. NOTE THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE DEDICATED PARKING FOR THEIR GUEST. YOU ARE PLANNING TO COME BY CAR, YOU HAVE TO PARK YOUR CAR ON ROAD AT YOUR OWN RISK. When asked to reception staff regarding this they answered that due to sangria bar we can not reserve parking even on the wall of hotel for guest staying in hotel. (Hotel beside this has parking reserved for their guest) Reception staff - 1star Room interior- 4star Bathroom hygiene- 0.5 star Room service- 3.5star Breakfast - 3star We did not had any food so no comment on food. There are many good hotels in Udaipur apart from this. I do not recommend this hotel. You can come to enjoy Sangria bar but avoid staying.

Complete disregard to guest requests We stayed at this hotel over the weekend when they have a nightly concert. The concert runs from 7:30 to 10:30. It was extremely loud and disturbing to the guests who wanted to go to bed early for whatever reason. The band was not even that great. Concerts that are outdoor should follow decency of time and loudness, otherwise it needs to be indoor. The requests to reduce the volume were completely ignored by the reception. It was both days of our stay. The pleasant experience of good rooms and food were ruined by this ear piercing and horrible concert torture.

I had a very comfortable stay with my mum here. The location is a bit away from the market area and tourist spots but it’s a very pleasant place to stay at. The food was decent. What made my stay more delightful was this sight of a mother cat and her kittens playing in the backyard space. I hope they’re doing well. What a lovely addition to an already beautiful hotel!

Not worth for the amount we had spent. It is a small property( do not go with the images on MMT or any other app). Rooms do not have charging points besides bed. They are down the mirror or behind TV points. You need to sit on the Floor and charge your phone. We also asked if they could provide us an extension, for which they refused. We booked a room with Bathtub. Bathtub is so small which could hardly occupie one Adult. It has restaurant within the property.Music played in that restaurant was very loud and Disturbing. One who needs to go to bed early, it ll be difficult for them. Overall it was not worth.

During my recent stay at Swaroop Villas , I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The rooms surpassed my expectations – not only were they very good, but the attention to detail in their design and cleanliness was truly commendable. The service provided by the hotel staff was equally impressive. From the moment I checked in to the time of departure, the staff members were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist. Their commitment to ensuring a pleasant stay added significant value to my overall impression of the hotel. In summary, my experience at Swaroop villas was marked by great rooms, excellent service, and a perfect location. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a well-rounded and enjoyable accommodation experience. It truly excels in providing a harmonious blend of comfort, service, and accessibility.

I had recently stayed at the property for one night. The hotel staff showed the morals to the highest grounds. I had lost my wallet and the manager happened to find it. I was given the wallet the next day in the morning. I am very pleased with other aspects of the hotels as well. Good food. Good drinks. Big rooms and really aesthetic ambience.

I booked room with garden. Rooms are genuinely smaller than what that are showing in pictures. Also, I paid Rs 7780 for one night but they wrote room with king size bed and they gave me addition on two twin mattresses. This is completely unacceptable. I would never book this again. Not worth the money better to stay in opulence inn . Also I book place because of rooftop restaurants but it was filled with outsiders. As a guest we didn’t even get any table to sit. My worst stay in Udaipur

This is a great cafe serving good breakfast with a great sides menu. Excellent service and a great place. Good meeting spot. The must try veg breakfast platter, quantity is sufficient for one person. Mashed potato was the best with the beans. Prices are bit on the higher side compared to other places in Udaipur. Preferable time would be either early morning or evening. Ample of parking space for 4 wheelers

Gorgeous pool area, beautiful bar and restaurant, excellent service with very well appointed rooms. Did not know this gem was hidden out with such beauty. I was expecting exorbitant prices as the place is a historical hotel but you'll be surprised they have some very affordable prices. Housekeeping ensured some of our specific requests for in-room beverages. The hospitality of the hotel was mind blowing. I'd like to sum up by saying: "A true sample of excellent hospitality nd magnificent hotel views"

We had a pleasant stay. Happy and satisfied with the overall experience. Clean, spacious and luxurious rooms, stunning interiors, scrumptious buffet spread and courteous staff. Since we had an early morning flight the gentleman at the reception (Mr. Krishna) got our breakfast packed which was really a nice gesture. Nonetheless, the A la Carte preparations can improve a bit.

The facade of this property gives you that Royal feel's'. It has an average Spa, average restaurant and an over expensive good for nothing bar (which they call it as rooftop). The other decent thing about this place is that it has an excellent location. The above things make this property a 2 star for me, otherwise it will be just one star. I stayed here in the week of April 2 (2022) for 4 days in their deluxe room. The bedsheets had stain and was smelly, no one during my stay came for house cleaning, the Air Conditioner of the room was very ordinary and wouldn't even cool the room even after 3 hours. Coming to the bedding, they have managed the double bed by joining single beds with separate mattresses, oh those mattresses they were not leveled, and it was horrible to sleep in them. It was after seen all this, I had asked them to please cancel my last day of stay and of course, the hotel property doesn't allow it. I guess, until you're taking the suite in this place, there are far more better options. The lady at the front office was not friendly at all. I am really not sure why this place had been rated 4+, I wouldn't be surprised if a few of those 4 and 5 star rating are bought.

The view from the suit room over the lake is amazing. The rooms are big and comfortable. There is a restaurant at the pool side and a Cafe that's open 24/7! Has great pizzas too. A massage salon makes you feel you're in a top notch place yet the prices are very affordable!

Pros: good location most of places of interest are within 1.5 km. We walked from Pichola lake to hotel. Good service; washroom lights and ac was not working and was fixed immediately. Staff is very polite and helpful. Cons: restaurant rates are bit expensive so its recommended to eat outside.

Looking for something in budget with luxury, than you should consider this Boutique hotel as it is one of the best in all aspects right from location with charming old city at one side and modern delight on other. 24/7 cafe which will take care of your midnight cravings in the best way possible. Friendly staff, beautiful interiors in short highly recommended for your stay in udaipur.

This place is really good for living with lake view rooms. Pool side view is also great. The only thing it lacks is the restaurant is too costly here and outside drinks and food not allowed at any place in hotel. They don't allow to enjoy live music at restaurant without order. Spa staff is also very arrogant.

An absolutely awesome place to stay if you are in Udaipur, especially with your family. I must mention that the front desk manager, Mr. Soni was quite helpful in guiding us on the places to visit quickly as we were on a very tight schedule. The property is very well maintained and will rate this as one of the top 5 in Udaipur. It is also quite close to all the main attractions in the city. The only grouse we had was the cost of the food available in room service. Everything else was really good. Travel tip: the place is safe for kids (over 15) to be alone at the property.

Nice peaceful hotel in Udaipur. Good rooms and decent service. Also live music at the terrace bar. Food is good in cafe but breakfast is average. Overall value for money.

  • 4/5 Vibhuti P. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent hotel. Lot of facilities like spa, 24*7 cafe and an adjoining restaurant bar with live music. It is indeed plush and beautiful. Rooms need improvement in terms of housekeeping. We booked 2 Superior King rooms, while one room as mentioned had window area sitting the other room did not have that. Also, the other room had bath tub that was not mentioned and but also was not required. Washroom, major improvement needed, it is clean but still not well maintained. Toiletries did not include comb, dental kit or a scrub. Shower area was separated by curtains hence water would spread out near basin area and making it bit uncomfortable. Overall, excellent property with improvements in rooms needed as per cost paid value is expected. The kept ringing door bell until door opened for giving us welcome drink, we could not find DoNotDisturb tag to avoid that situation.
