Not worth the price. You can find better hotels at the same price. The view is really great, The rooms are satisfactory, There was no hot water in shower, Complained about it twice but they didn’t resolve the issue, The AC didn’t work at all. The main/master fuse switch is exactly behind the bed where pillows are kept, It gets turned off again and again unknowingly. The food is satisfactory. The staff isn’t that friendly, The reserve tables at the restaurant for outsiders and don’t give priority to their staying guests.

This is a 10 star location. But the dining areas were not maintained to expected hygiene standard. I put my hand on the table and it was so dirty with with sticky residue and same for the arms of the chairs. I changed to another table and experienced the same. I have many memories of this building from my childhood and recommend it to my friends visiting from Europe. I am really disappointed. I am writing this to help the hotel not damage their business. I hope they read this.

Located at superb location. It’s a huge property and the hospitality is great. Doesn’t live up to the expectation of “THE LALIT” . Rooms are okayish. Nothing grand, nothing aesthetic. Rooms are lake view. But it’s a distant view so don’t come up with huge expectations. Service is great. The staff is super polite, you will be entertained with puppet show and a few other gigs In the evening. Breakfast buffet is alright. Doesn’t live upto brand name of the Lalit.

We had our wedding at this hotel. The lawns are beautiful, as is the backdrop. The food is impeccable. The staff was very kind and attentive. The rooms in the heritage wing have an issue with cooling. I also advise to look beyond their preferred wedding management vendors to avoid any conflicts of interest. Overall our experience with this property was wonderful!

Superb location and I recommend the lake side rooms as it is simply brilliant with the lake and mountain views. You get a feeling of being in a remote place away from noise and in your own little paradise. The hospitality is world class and so are the rooms. Boating in Fateh Sagar Lake is walking distance from here. Personally, this lake is a much better experience than the crowded Pichola lake but that may be my personal preference for quite, peace and natural beauty. A luxurious experience awaits anyone who chooses to stay here.

I visited to their Aangan restaurant on christmas. It was the worse experience ever. After having soup and starters we were so disappointed that we left the place without eating main course. Service and food bothe were bad. Only view was extremely good. It is expensive but quality of food is not at Par with price. You will find better food and service with stand alone restaurant.

A well maintained property with good courteous staffs. An amazing view of colourful lighting in the Fateh Sagar Lake. A lush green lawn. Big rooms. Good food. A Flag hoisting & Celebration of Republic Day by staff & distribution of sweets is appreciable. Enjoyed the stay.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. On the positive side, view is stunning, great billiards table and nice breakfast. On the negative - no pool (which is staggering given the size of the property and it’s gardens), unbelievably noisy (I could hear people talking and moving furniture all night and got no sleep….even after talking to reception). There’s no bar (although you can sit outside and they will bring drinks). The restaurant is dingy, worn out and indoors (why do they not take advantage of the view and beautiful outdoor area). If you’re paying this sort of money - look elsewhere.

it is not a 5 star stranded hotel and the amount i have paid is not worth . they need so many improvement 1) no proper welcome 2)no one take your luggage to your room 3) receptionist was not experience she was taking unnecessary time 4)room is big but very old type 5.) bathroom is so small that 2 star hotel bath room is far better than 6)less no toiletry 7) i booked for king bed room they just join two twin bed .there were gap between bed it make by night sleepiness 8)not many option in breakfast and food test was very ordinary, lack of hygiene (plate was not washed properly) only i liked the behavior of the staff . the location is great for that i have given 2 star rating otherwise it is not worth for 1 star rating so before booking please read my review.

Lalit Udaipur is indeed a wonderful hotel. I've had the pleasure of visiting twice and enjoyed both occasions. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel holds a special charm due to its historic significance. However, the standout feature is the breathtaking view it offers of the lake and city. And the gardens are whole level above. Though as there are no lighting there, it becomes difficult to be there in night so please install lights there so that we can use that place also for photography. While it's a good hotel, it might be worth considering other options if they are more budget-friendly. Nevertheless, staying at Lalit Udaipur is an experience you should definitely have at least once.

Located on a hill at fateh sagar makes the view just awesome... When I went there was a wedding which was a bummer for us as the restaurant at lake front was non functional.. the breakfast was not as expected as per a 5 star hotel , no continental inclusion.. also they don't have a swimming pool... no bathtub too

The only good thing about this property is the location and it's quietness. Otherwise it fails to render a 5 star experience. There is no swimming pool, the gym is one small room only and there is no in room dining after 10pm, as a result of which, i had to to struggle with Zomato and all to get food later at night. The TV was faulty and inspite of showing it to the repair guy, it stayed faulty. The bathroom door lock was broken. The back view of hotel, which I got is very average. There is a pool table to play. The view is ecstatic and also a large area to walk and explore in the lawns. The breakfast spread was not very lavish, it was having limited variety and also not great in taste, so overall a letdown.

It was a Surprise date arranged by my Husband. We were there to celebrate my Birthday. The location and view was amazing. And everything was good except for the fact that they haven't allowed us to go to their Japanese restaurant for dinner.

Sharing my experience from Aug 2021. I had a night's stay here. Had booked the place cz of its brand value and location and the pics on the various booking sites and its original site too. But didn't have a 5 star experience at all. The property looks quite old and not refurbished or renovated. I know it's a palace converted to a resort but still, was not a good experience. The bathrooms looked dingy and small. The room was very much okayish. The toiletries provided too just very normal. The only saviours I would say were the outdoors and the breakfast buffet.

The property and view is amazing and an experience to look forward to. However the rooms and restaurants need to improve in terms of room size , buffet spread and overall taste . If they improve these to match up the Lalit brand it will be an amazing property to stay in Udaipur 😊 Overall it was a good stay here 😊

Breakfast and view were amazing. However, overall, the hotel was not good enough to be considered five star. The light kept going away and the bathroom was not that great. No extra amenities to provide a luxury experience.

We had our wedding here. The location is great, as is the view. It is a nice place to host an event. Food is excellent, as is the hospitality. My only criticism would be towards the rooms in the heritage wing. The AC system is outdated and not strong enough for some of the high ceiling rooms.

Excellent location a palace converted hotel on the hill top right in front of Fateh Sagar Lake. The rooms are big and spacious. The staff is quick and polite. The view is excellent. The service is quick and prompt. There are in all fifty five rooms. Overall a good experience.

There hasn't been a more pleasurable and memorable experience than staying at this hotel, i booked this for the second time in a row for my short vacation , and i was impressed, rejuvenated, refreshed beyond words. The spa was excellent, so were the services , housekeeping, food, the linen was so crisp and clean. Also Especially the staff at the front desk, extremely welcoming , warm and polite. They are personally looking after your stay and your requirements. They will look into all your needs and customise your stay according to your wish Very satisfying experience Would highly recommend it.

Unbelievable location, unbelievable views and just an incredible vibe. An affordable yet exotic palatial stay. Removing 1 star as the dining service is all over the place, especially during dinner. Food is amazing and staff is amazing but management has kept buffet and order what you like from table options. The staff is absolutely unable to keep up. I saw them work so hard and trying best to keep up. A huge shout out to them but removing one star not to make review negative but to get management attention to rectify this.

I am wondering how this is a 5star hotel! The service, food & the washroom size in rooms just pathetic. We lately attended wedding in this hotel & were staying for approx 3 days. The hotel staff is not courteous though our floor manager was very professional. It took 4 calls to reception to get a small service. The food was not at all tasty, the breakfast spread was equivalent to a 3 star hotel. N dont get me started on the bathroom size, there was hardly space for one person.. you step out of the shower n voila there is your pot right there!! i should have clicked a photo to prove this. I would have still let everything go as i was there to enjoy the wedding but I have never seen such poor service & response in a so called 5star hotel..

It’s a beautiful hotel located at an excellent location in Udaipur city. The view of Fatehsagar lake is mesmerising from this place. Went to this place for dinner on New Year’s Eve. Quality of food is good but it’s expensive. However, it’s worth going on one’s important personal occasions
