I had a great stay at Zostel Udaipur for two days. The rooms, bathroom and linen were clean and cozy. The property is at a very good location and almost every point is within a short distance.The in-house restaurant has tasty and quality food, but the quantity could be improved compared to the prices.

Well again zostel rocks in getting the property in the best location. It has a good view of the lakes from here. Rooftop view is good ,but the common area is in basement and not so lively. The not so good thing is that not any dorms have lake view and its fully given to private rooms and i think its identity check for zostel as it started as a hostel for solo backpackers and young travellers and not just some money generating business model. It walking distance from gangour ghat. Cafe on the rooftop is little expensive .

Zostel Udaipur is an amazing place to stay, stayed in a dorm, which was super clean, met a lot of new PPL, food was nice, service was good... Great location and one of the best parts was Harsh the community manager and the activities he had planned, each one was super fun and engaging. Looking forward to stay at a zostel.

Situated at one of the best spots near Lake Pichola with the best views along with everything nearby, Zostel Udaipur is a great place to stay which is not only economical but also a great experience. Especially the community manager Harsh, who has created a friendly environment for travellers with something fun happening in the evening everyday. In short, a great experience.

U see my stars u will get it ! I needed to stay one day more but I didn’t. I am sure people can find better place which u will find better than here. I believe it’s not going to be India after few years might be Amsterdam for sure! some people are transitioning so fast in the name of hospitality which is in Indian blood it’s simple and still authentic but it’s not here! I didn’t get a simple hi when I reached here rest I am not going to say they know better. All I am saying it can be lot better with small efforts.

Excellent location considering that it is quite central in the old city. Most of the landmarks were well within walking distance. Considering that this is a hostel, the hospitality shown by the hosts were not unlike those you would receive at a decent priced hotel. The hosts are well versed with the history of the location and can be a great asset if you want to explore udaipur. The rooftop dining area was, in my opinion, the best part of my stay. Must try!!

1. Rooms were fine...tbh pretty good and well maintained washrooms and beds. 2. Terrace view was spectacular. Something to look out for. 3. In-house restaurant was average. Low on quality and taste when compared to price we are paying. 4. The biggest disappointment was game room, most of the things were broken or not in good condition.

The rooms are good. The rooftop restaurant gives a splendid lake view and food is great. The rooms are clean and overall a nice experience. You might face parking issues. And do take the four wheeler route in Google maps even if you are on a bike

Bunk beds were good, conference. View was great.but you have to get your own lock for the locker. That wasn't mentioned and as it's a shared room, so you can't lock the room either. That was my only concern. Other then that everything was great.

Why Zostels are good place to stay? - Pocket friendly stays. - You get accompanied by lovely roommates. - It kind of bring back the hostel Life memories. - Their atmosphere and locations are always the best in any city you go. - It's good for solo travellers/ riders with good enough parking space.

Oh!! We stayed in a beautiful private room with a view of Lake Pichola. The room was quite spacious with a clean washroom. Would recommend this place for a budget friendly stay. Also they have a very beautiful rooftop set up of restaurant.

Superb location with Lake Pichola View and Amazing rooftop cafe. Staff i helpful and friendly. Food made by the cook Mr.Vijay is fantastic. Rooms are clean & neat. Mr.Kisan at reception was very helpful and understanding. Had an amazing stay here.

Stayed there for a night in a shared female dorm, the place was clean and nice. They have a small cafe at the top of the 4th floor. Recommend for solo travelers.

Summarizing my experience below: 1 - The vibe of the hostel was not that great - there weren't many people here (my room just had 1 more person in a 4 bed dorm). I didn't quite expect that from Zostel. Probably has something to do with the time I visited - Feb '23. 2 - My room had a very dirty, stinky carpet which was also torn. Either don't keep the carpet or just replace it with a new, clean one. How hard is that? 3 - The bathroom is good though, it is spacious and comfortable to use. 4 - Lastly, the lockers are secured with a latch; there are no locks. That should be upgraded as security of belongings is a basic requirement. 5 - The staff is friendly. Food I haven't tried so can't say.

It is an average stay. If you plan to come to your rooms only at night and need just the bare minimum facilities then this is the perfect pick for you. Location - The hostel is located at a uphill location. The autos and cabs usually refuse to drop till the gate so you will have to walk a bit to reach the hostel. But the plus point is that it is located less than 1.5 kms from all the major attractions and cafes Rooms - Basic amenities (this is also for the twin room and the lake side view rooms). The photo of the lakeside view room is of one such room. All the rooms look different so there is a chance that what you've seen in the photos may be different from the room you actually stay in.

I think Zostel should also check if guests are coming with their own vehicles. Here car parking was a bit problem and we were not aware of Zostel was on hill top. Very tiny parking, it made us difficult to take it out.

Me and my wife we came to visit Udaipur, 1st time try Zostel we got a beautiful experience there. Location wise it’s very convenient near all the monuments.. Sunset is mind blowing from rooftop… Hospitality was very good all staff is very helpful Tushaar gave all information about the property and city.. We recommend this property 100%…

Really it was a shame when I called that we wanted a two day stay for our driver and he is a single person, surprisingly I was told on customer care tgat हम लोग ड्राइवर लोग को room नहीं देते... I was really surprised to hear that and without even let me explain the situation, he started refusing and rudely disconnected the line. Our corporate meeting was due in udaipur and we had sixteen single persons Anyway it's their loss. I will get a thousands of options but it was really a shame of how how their thoughts were.

I don't know ..may be in all Zostel has been degrading. My friends and me stayed here for 2 nights and the rooms and washroom were so unclean. Unwanted stringency in rules and the staff there is not so helpful. They had no drinking policy but you can only drink..if you purchased alcohol from them. Please go for hosteller and goStop..before coming to udaipur we had stayed in hosteller Jaisalmer and it was an amazing experience..with great hospitality.

The stay was great. Crowd was amazing, staff was very polite and helpfull. Cleanliness was taken care of. Food was also very tasty. Only thing i would suggest if they can add curtains to the dorm bed as other hostels are already doing jt like moustache, their dorm rates are also little less. Adding curtains will give some sense of privacy even when staying in dorm. Other than that totally recommended 5/5.

I was very excited for my stay at Zostel Udaipur, wanted to have new experience, new friends, I had booked a 4 bed ac dorm mixed , when i reached the location zostel was located step on incline but I had no issue with that (if u are travelling heavy u will face issues). Then I checked-in the process of which was easy, then I saw my room which was okay not so great not so bad. The playroom was definitely awful, their was only one pool stick the table was too close to wall on one side. Then comes the main important part, I had two roomates one was a girl who was okay, and was a guy. Both came late at night the girl came in quitely at around 12:30 a:m and the guy around 1:30 a:m started to turn the lights on using the toilet with gate open. Yes you heard it right, there is no 11 pm noise restrictions its all a sham, at around 3:30 am their were a bunch of kids maybe who just had passed their 12th class were there playing pool and howling, and as I recovered from those sounds the guy in my room had an alarm for 4 am, which he has to no intention to wake up from, probably just wanted to disturb, so the CONCLUSION is if you have any interest in sleeping then simply avoid any kind of hostels- Zostel as they are a sham. The only positive of Zostel was its terrace it was beautiful, but service was a notch slower than what you should expect. Good Luck.

To reach where this Zostel is located is a bit of an effort. The rooms were pretty decent.. not too great, but not too shabby either. Their food and drinks service is good.. they have their timings though. The common hangout place i.e. the game room is okay (not maintained that properly) The view from the roof top of this Zostel was something to look up to. All in all, a decent stay.

Wholesome experience. Amazing vibe. Amazing group of people. The host was accommodative and polite. Rooms were spot on. Bathrooms were huge and clean. Cafe had great food. The pool table can do with a bit more space, but the game room is a vibe too. Fun!

Worst management staff ever, I asked for auto rikshaw they said to move ahead we don't provide these services. I stayed in many zostels never seen this behaviour. Also they have a pet dog which smells bad and they keep that dog at desk ... Zero vibes in hostel Apart from this rooms were clean, cafe food was good...please give proper training to staff

Cool place, cool vibes, cool people. Just one thing though - they should let you know if they're fully booked the day after your stay so that doesn't catch you by surprise the next morning! 🙂

Cleanliness-2/5- Found Room, common area and toilets unclean. Location-4/5- Near to major attractions but on top of small hill where there is no proper way to reach or park vehicles. Food- 2/5- Food is just ok.

Excellent stay and experience at Zostel Udaipur. They were kind enough to accomodate an early check-in and the rooms were well maintained. The cafe is beautiful too and they provide room service as well. The reception staff is well informed and helped us with our sightseeing itinerary. Big thanks to Kishan, Ashok, Vijay, Govind and Tushar for being so co-operative and making our stay pleasant.

Perfect all i can say! Food, The ambiance, the view from it and the most of all it is near to every tourist spot and unfortunately if you don't find any beds you have other decent options too to stay on the location because that's the main highlight of zostel!

Loved the stay, very cooperative staff, the view from rooftop early morning and at night is mind boggling. Night view was the best. Food is amazing. Zostel is a complete package of Amazing food, location, views and stay with feasible prices.

I had a great experience here. Great atmosphere and the view from the terrace is breathtaking. The staff were very helpful. The crowd was amazing too and made great friends. I had a great time. I would recommend Zostel if you're planning to come to Udaipur!

I had an amazing stay here. The staff is very helpful and prompt. The rooms are value for money. The rooftop cafe has a brilliant view and makes for an amazing place to work out of. the WiFi worked seamlessly. The common room is not suitable for work though. Also, the approach road is not the best, you'll need help with the luggage.

We recently (14/01 - 18/01) stayed at Zostel, Udaipur and were completely impressed with the overall experience. The check-in process was hassle free as we had opted for a web check-in prior to our arrival. We were in our room in no time. Located on a small hill, Zostel provides a good view of Pichola lake and most parts of Udaipur. As we stayed in a private room, there were quite a few amenities that were provided to us, including a water kettle, coffee, tea, and milk powder. The room itself was spacious with a comfortable bed and attached bathroom which had 24hr hot water supply. Since the hot water was connected to solar power, early mornings took quite some time for the water to heat up. The room service isn't the sharpest though as we had to remind them to change a few things a couple of times. The parking though available is limited and can get quite tricky since it's located on a hill. The restaurant on the rooftop provides a great view of the city and can be an ideal place to relax over dinner. The menu is quite varied and the food preparation is also decent, if not great. For the price point, Zostel offers one of the best and reliable accommodation within Udaipur, as it is at a walkable distance from most of the important tourist spots.

The place is located at a great location and have a great view from the top, the only drawback is the stairs to climb up to the top, plus this place is not so cool like other zostels, its more of a quite place. Our experience was good and the owner was nice and helped us keep the luggage after checkout.

The zostel property was good. Expected more from seeing the photos though. Would have rated it more if the property was more spacious though. Overall it was a decent stay though. Food prices are also reasonable and tasty!

A very beautiful hostel with a very beautiful view from terrace cafe. Loved the experience of staying in dormetry. Staff is extremely polite, bunk beds are super comfy and very clean washrooms.

Great place for backpackers and solo travelers. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Lives up to the Zostel fame. The location and rooftop view is a steal!! Many places that you will visit while in Udaipur are at walking distance, city palace, old city, ghat, bagore ki haveli. If you are thinking of staying here, go for it.

Bathrooms were not maintained. Exhaust fan was smelling. Whole property was dirty and unhygienic. Food was okay but place was not maintained. Road to zostel is super steep. To take bags up to zostel was not possible. They don’t even have a lift to rooms. Bedsheets had stain and were very old and dirty. In general, stay was terrible. If you like to stay properly and clean would NOT at all recommend this place to them. Zostel plus and these categories of zostel have huge difference. This zostel is equal to cheap lodge. Pathetic stay.

Amazing Staycation you can have at zostel Udaipur. Great Amenities , cleanliness, supportive zostel staff. And above all you can make so many friends as nobody is strangers here. Nice terrace restaurant is there for your cravings with a beautiful view of the lake.

We opted delux AC room and the view was amazing,canteen is at the top floor ,they also have recreational activities zone We have tried zostel Jaisalmer and compared to that this one is so different in terms of hospitality, service and cleanliness. If you are alone they do have a surprise package called badsha please check him out :) Please work on Food cost , all items in the menu are at higher prices even water bottles are 30rs (20rs outside) Thumbs up for staff who helped us to lift our heavy trolleys.

Best place to chill, even if you don't have a booking here you can visit the zostel Cafe and chill, the food is decent with good sun set view, also the staff & owner are very friendly.
