Good Cultural Museum. 1 hour Live performance by Folk Artists and 30 mins puppet Show. Good Tribal Artefacts collection over 3 floors. Well preserved and portrayed. Parking available and street food available outside.

If you are an art lover person then you should definitely visit this place to get the cultural vibes. The ticket is very minimal and I don’t remember the exact fare but has to be either 50 or 60₹. I have also attended the puppet show over here which was good, also you can see various artwork galleries inside the place.

Not much explored by tourists in udaipur. Great place to visit for school going kids 7 yrs onwards. Revelation of some interesting facts and good keepsake of art and culture. Watch nice 10minute puppet show towards the end of the museum. You can go for 1 hour special show of folk dance and puppetry between 12noon-1pm or 6-7pm.

Make sure you visit during the performance time which I put in the attached photo. This place is a must when you are in Udaipur. Their puppet show is far better than any other shows across Rajasthan. Ideally this should be an itinerary in Udaipur for 1 day - 1.) City palace: first half of the day 2.) Lunch : Till 3pm 3.) Shilpgram: 3 to 5pm (to experience heritage of Rajasthan) 4.) Bharatiya Lok kala mandal: 5.30 to 7.30pm (they have programs at this time, so should stick to this time) 5.) Pichoa lake walk : 7:30pm to 9pm Enjoy Udaipur.❤️

Best puppet show! Talented artists! Must visit place in Udaipur! We were looking for puppet shows in the city of Udaipur, but were not satisfied until we visited Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal. They showcased the best puppet show in the entire city. We felt it to be a hidden gem in the city. We would definitely recommend this place to everyone. They have one show in the afternoon and two shows in the evening.

This place is the Cultural Epitome of Udaipur. Its visit can't be missed. It is a great venue for many cultural prograames. Its Amphitheater transports you to Herapolis, Turkey. Its essentially a no miss out. Check the videos and photos of a current cultural night.

Extraordinary puppet dance! Just too good. This is one place you should not miss in udaipur. Just go and watch that 15 minute puppet dance, it's totally worth it! There is a tribal shop below it, selling amazingly beautiful handicrafts items for very reasonable prices.

I love visiting Lok kala Mandal. I prefer spending on show tickets here rather than on movie tickets. Puppet show is love ❤. Well trained artists.

This art gallery is truly incredible. Looking at all their jaw dropping artwork just makes you feel alive! I was amazed by all the beautiful pieces they had, just in pure awe. I felt absolutely no pressure to buy and was shown several extra pieces not on the wall. I look forward to visiting this art gallery, bringing others to look with me and of course to buy from them. The museum is not well maintained. It is in bad condition. The puppet show in museum was also poor. Would not recommend it. The 6pm Folk Dance+Puppet Show is far better. Folk Dance was great with 3 performances. The puppet show lacked the original sound of 'Boli' instrument.

I attended the 7.15 pm (to 8.15 pm) show on a weekday. The entry ticket cost Rs 120, and I was the lone spectator in the auditorium with a capacity of approximately 200. The spectacle comprised five segments of puppet acts, followed by Rajasthani folk dance performances of Terah Taal and Bhawai. Still in awe of the performances and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Udaipur to include it in the itinerary. The auditorium is quite old but decently maintained. An exhibition and sale of tribal handicrafts, art, textiles and jewellery were being hosted on the premises that day.

I have not visited art museum and puppet museum. I attended their special show which performs two times in day 1st in noon approx 12-1 and 2nd at 6 PM They also maintain all covid-19 precaution. It has awesome show must watch it once. Show had two half 1st half puppet and another one art culture show by artist.

One of the best places in Udaipur. Amazing folk dance show. Ramesh Dangi sir is managing very well. Folk dance instructors are very talented. I can say the best ones among folk artists in Udaipur.

If you are here or planning to go here their, after watching the Lok Kala give artist a small amount of money as token of love because they have given their whole life to this lok kala. They perform awesome. Best place to visit.

It is a auditorium of udaipur where many of programs are held and there is one one vada pav vala is there which taste is ultimate

It is famous for Fork dance and it is closed for now due to curfew after 7 pm.

Kathputli show is small. We need to put story telling also. They show us only thee show of dance only.
