Beautiful temple amid nature. Always wanted to visit this place and got a chance to be here in this rainy season. Ancient idol will be shown to devotees around 11.30 AM using diya around it. It will not be clearly visible though but one can get a glimpse of it. Kalyani and Yajna yaaga mantapa is really good.

Loved the peaceful and divine place. Guddattu Sri Vinayaka Temple is located at Kundapura, Udupi District in the state of Karnataka, India. It is a Hindu temple dedicated to god Ganapathy, also called Jaladhivasa GanapathyTemple, Lord Ganesha’s three-foot idol is believed to have emerged from the rock. It is the only Jaladhivasa Ganapathi temple in India. Aayira Koda Seva, Tailabhyanjana, Panchamrutha and Rudrabhisheka are performed in the temple everyday. Every day there are 2 seva’s of offering 1001 times of water (abhisheka)each time to our ganappa . Each time they have to fill the pot manually from the well which is very next to gabhagudi & is believed that the water doesn’t well will never dry.

One of the truly authentic temples that is present in the area of Kundapur the Ganpati Temple here is located in a cave I am writing this review in the month of December 2022 and I have found out that the saving of this temple is now booked until the year 2036 the temple opens up in the morning at 6:00 a.m. there are two seves the first one starts at 7:00 a.m.and the other one from 10:00 a.m. the temple is open from 6:00 a.m. everyday in the earphone lunch is served for all devotees who come to this Temple. Legend has it that Ganesha who liked Honey a lot over ate honey and Shiva then told him to come to this place and get submerged in the water so as to cool himself. this is the history behind this Temple.

A small approx 2 feet big idol of lord Ganapathi is believed to be an Udbhava Ganapathi who prefers staying in water (jaladhivasa). Ayirkoda is a very favourite seva of him. This seva is already booked for next 4 years in advance.

Irekoda seva offered to lord Ganapathi every day where 500 pots of water poured from well and pooja offered. Noon time there will be anna santharpan... Temple closes from 1 pm to 3 pm. Like comment

Beautiful temple on a small hill. We’ve been visiting this temple since our childhood days. Free lunch (Prasada) is served everyday. Ample parking space available in front of the temple. Rooms are available within temple premises at reasonable cost.

Very beautiful temple, temple inside rock. Daily they perform 500 water vessel pooja. Water is drawn from well, water to it flows from varshi river. Originally it is believed the idol is from Kallu Ganapathi, Uma Maheshwar temple 4kms away.

Very auspicious and a lovely temple. Most of these ancient temples are not that prominent or commerical. If you have issues with your life, then have a visit to this place.

Even though most of the time one or the other person does book seva, the temple was not crowded when we visited during our Christmas holidays . Not crowded usually.

Lord Ganesha temple placed. Ganesh consumed excessive honey which created a burning sensation in his body. Shiva instructed his son to stay in the waters adjacent to the rock after which Lord Ganesha made His abode in the pool here

The most powerful and peaceful place. Lord Ganesha’s three-foot idol has emerged from the rock. Aayira Koda Seva, Panchamrutha and Rudrabhisheka are performed in the temple everyday. Those who visit the temple can see the idol from the small window on the left side of the Gudi/Gopura/Mandhir.

One of the unique Vinayaka temples in the costal area. Vinayaka idol is always immersed in 1000 Bindige of water 365 days a year. Every day 1000 Bindige of water is added and the idol is immersed and next day all the water is removed and new water is added. This ritual is called Aayarkoda. To do this ritual it will cost Rs.10000 and the most interesting thing is only two person can opt for this . This is booked till 2037 . Yes till 2037 and there is no typing error. Sanctum sanctorum is inside a huge rock and to have one circle/ಪ್ರದಕ್ಷಿಣೆ it is .75kms. Vinayaka idol is in built in the rock and felt so blessed to have the darshan .

This temple was very unique. There's a story behind why they keep the Ganesha idol immersed in water. The story should be available over Google or YouTube.
