I came here on the recommendation of a friend; had the 1.5 hr Swedish massage and the 1 hr Head and Neck massage. Both massages were lovely. The masseuse was very professional. I had a headache before coming in, and the massages greatly reduced the pain. Also, they offered a quick shower before the massages. This was a nice surprise. The bathroom was very clean and modern. Note: If you pay with a card, instead of cash, you are charged 5% additional. This is not listed on the website, nor in the price list book at the spa. It would have been great to know before my visit.

A calming environment. Even if u don't get the massage, it is peaceful enough for you to relax and rejuvenate. Great service and actually is affordable.

One of the finest and most luxurious spas in all of Uganda. The Hanmam package is a great experience starting with steam, then a scrub, then a massage finish. Calabash is truly a relaxing space in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Kampala. Be sure to call and book in advance to avoid disappointment if you just ruck up the day of expecting to get in.

A home tilled with freshness

Best spa in Kampala. Very sophisticated spa - great menu and the spa interior is secluded and quiet. Best place I’ve found for waxing here too. The spa is part of a hotel/apt compound so you can use the pool and eat good food after you’re done. Highly recommend for a place to relax!

Calabash spa is one of a kind. It's a full fetched spacious spa with several wellness facilities. I felt totally renewed after Turkish bath and a hot stone massage. The Ambience is so cool and breathtaking, services so unwinding, customer care so warm, staff very professional and then the terrace...ooh my.. so serene as you take a healthy drink of your choice enjoying the breeze.

It's a place worthy visiting

Good massage, clean and experienced masseause. I got a herbal tea after my aromatherapy which included a free body scrub. Good value for money. I’ll be back soon!

Given the great reviews I went there with the objective to have a Swedish massage, described on their website and menu as "a great treat for beginners and those looking for a relaxing medium to firm massage". The woman at reception was rather cold, and immediately tried to push me to get a pricier treatment because this one would be very light. I know that a Swedish massage is indeed lighter than some other massages, but this is what I wanted so I stuck to it. Unfortunately I understood what she meant when Pauline, the massage therapist, barely brushed my skin and refused to provide an actual Swedish massage. She was rather rude about it, so after 2 minutes I decided to cancel the massage altogether. She then scolded me for using the towel that was covering me to wipe off the oil on my leg (were they planning to re-use it?). It looks like they don't know what a proper Swedish massage involves, and the attitude I witnessed was an immediate deal breaker. Instead I went a few minutes away to Don's Organic Spa & Salon, where I was warmly welcomed and received an excellent Swedish massage! I have had hundreds of massages over the years and it is the first time that I walked out of a spa, which motivated me to write a Google review for the first time. It goes without saying that I will not return to Calabash Spa.
